Egg Works has always impressed me with their consistent ratings at any of their locations. After visiting, I'm left wondering why?? This location is near home so it made since to give them a try. I love the interior, the outside dining option as well, but the food was a major disappointment! The biscuits n gravy was just not happening! The gravy was literally cold to the touch, and the biscuits have a slightly sweet taste to them which was a turnoff. The eggs were cooked perfectly at a soft scrambled request, and the sausage patties were of a good quality as well. Their potatoes that apparently are quite popular were nothing more than frozen cubed potatoes with a dusting of seasoned salt. They are popular for most people, perhaps for the large quantity of food given, however there has to be some quality as well! read more

Went to this location for breakfast and we are so glad that they have reopened their doors and welcomed everyone with open arms following safety protocol amid the COVID 19 alert. When we arrived, we stood in a short line outside their door and we were ushered in, per party, and sat at our tables. We were sat one table away from the party next to us. We were welcomed by Tyler who seemed genuinely glad to see and help us. Our drink order came very fast follwed shortly by our large meal, we shared it, that was made fresh. Our utensils were placed inside a brown bag and we had to specifically ask for condiments. Egg Works made our dine-in experience feel very safe and stress free. Location: This location is very near the Seven Hills neighborhood right off of the North/South 'Eastern Ave'. It is noted to be seriously busy when ever we drive by. Parking: Nice parking area surrounding the restaurant. Venue: Large sized dining room that starts to get really busy around 7:30 AM. There is also an out door dining area which is 'dog friendly' according to a sign. I am not clear on reservations or wait lists. Website and restaurant information is silent on this other than to say "give us a call". Interior is casual and interesting with a model train circulating the interior. Breakfast and lunch: They are set up for high volume breakfast and lunch. That may explain the lack of focus on reservations. Service: These guy's are pros and can handle a large walk in group or a table full of regulars. Pay at the table on an electronic device. Friendly, helpful, and they anticipate your needs. Food: We only go for breakfast. It is more pleasant and better priced than a nearby trendy avant-garde breakfast joint. These guys are solid and you are not going to pay too much. read more

This location has a large outside patio. We have enjoyed it several times now. On our last visit, they provided us paper bags to put our masks into. That is very thoughtful. The food and service is always good here. Staff is friendly and helpful. The menu has enough choices for breakfast, lunch, or brunch to please almost anyone including gluten free items. This is a difficult review for me. I really am not a fan but the restaurant is VERY clean and the staff is always very friendly. I say "always" because I have so many friends who like to eat there that I end up meeting them. I love to cook and I REALLY love to cook breakfast. I know the costs of three eggs, potato, veggies etc. I guess it simply pains me to pay $15.00 for a meal I can make at home, easily as good (or better) for less than $3.00. So, take this review with a grain of salt (no pun intended). If you are good with spending $ on breakfast this is a very nice restaurant, run well, very hospitable with decent food. Yu-go's Rueben was deceptively filling and savory. Cajun fries are a meal in itself. My Chix Fried Stk stole the Blue Ribbon for first place. Coffee was rich tasty bold. My wife and I returned here yesterday for lunch, hoping the menu had improved. I ordered the tossed glazed balsamic chicken salad, and she had the spicy chicken breast sandwich. The brown chicken chunks in the salad were not tasty and looked worse. The misshapen slab of chicken in her sandwich was hard as a rock and equally unappetizing to look at. Eggworks may be fine for breakfast (The Broken Yolk on St. Rose is MUCH better), but they should remove their lunch offerings. For more appealing and healthier sandwiches, go to Panera or Kneaders, actually just about anywhere else with a more pleasant ambiance and better food. read more

The food is absolutely amazing, but the front desk staff has absolutely no idea what they're doing. Quote times are off by 30+ minutes. They have a host stand out front, but no one standing there. Then, get reprimanded for walking inside to check in. This place is so unorganized, it's painful to come here. It has been unorganized since before COVID and it's just gotten worse. First things first, I never complain, but today I had the worst experience at this restaurant. I called and ordered a to go order for a prime rib Benedict with extra hollandaise sauce for Danny. As soon as I got to the restaurant, I said my name and I had to go order and they went back there and checked it only to come out and not say anything. They literally ignored me. They did not acknowledge that I was waiting for food so I ended up asking them to check again. After the person had checked again, they then walked to the cashier stand and didn't acknowledge me again. Completely different person this time. I then asked another person to check on my to go order and they came back saying my name is not back there and they were asking for somebody named Remi... they didn't want to take any time of the day to acknowledge me and my food. After waiting 20 minutes without acknowledgment, I decided to leave. I am making this review Starving... I really wish I could give them more than one star but unfortunately I cannot. Update(may 26th): The AGM of egg works messaged me and told me that they informed their staff and upped their policies on treating guests with Togo orders, so I increased my rating from a 1 to a 3 star. Thank you for caring about my situation and frustration, and I hope you understand because I still did experience that, I'm leaving the 3 stars. I always love choosing this place as a tradition for myself and my mom. Breakfast/brunch here is always great and their banana bread to extremely delicious and soft! I had the chicken fried steak with eggs and hash browns. It was tasty. 8/10. I ordered a side of biscuits and gravy. 8.5/10. Would I come back. Dog friendly patio! I went here with my family and my dog. Their patio is dog friendly so we ate outside even though it was really cold. They didn't have any assigned server for the patio but they made it work by just assigning one for us and we were told the service might be a little slow but it was still an awesome service. Only 5 stars instead of 6. Here's the reason why: I love the toy train that travels inside the restaurant, however, it need to make some "choo choo" sounds when it passes the little toy village. I think it's a safety concern for the village citizens. Definitely an OSHA violation because it does not make choo-choo sounds. Or at least make it choo-choo on the top of the hour. Also it is very ironic that the whole establishment is called eggworks because their potatoes and the way they make it is sooo damn goood. They should rename the establishment Potatoworks. Or better yet, rename the establishment to Bananamuffinworks because it taste soo good! Overall excellent service. But I would really love to see those changes happen ASAP. What's not to enjoy about this chain? This location is no exception. It isn't fancy, but it's always good. The restaurant wasn't crowded mid-morning on a weekday. My fellow Yelper arrived before me and was able to get a large table since we had three kids in our party. They provided slings for the baby carriers. One of the things I love about this chain is that you can count on getting food pretty quickly. Once we ordered it wasn't long before we had food. The Smokey Chipotle Pork Benny was delicious. My favorite part was the seasoned potatoes served with the dish. With such a large menu I look forward to returning and trying more items. read more

We always enjoy dining here. Each time we say our server is the BEST, the next server we have is just as outstanding. This visit, Sierra took outstanding care of us! I have a Service Dog, who can go everywhere to take care of me. For pets, I love the fact that they have a pet friendly patio. The banana muffins are DELICIOUS! This time we ordered Stuffed French Toast and The Works Omelette. The portions are HUGE; we always leave with TO GO boxes. We are coffee drinkers, and like the fact that a pitcher of coffee is left on the table. For regular restaurant coffee, theirs is quite good! Definitely a favorite breakfast location!
