THE BEN FRANKLIN* THE NASHVILLE HOTTIE* RIBEYE STEAK & EGG* SD CHORIZO CHILI
    Abigail Joy Y.

Finally had the chance to try the newest brunch spot in town! It was so delicious that we came twice in a week! These trendy brunch spots are what you usually see in big cities, so I'm happy that we get one here! On our first visit, we came on a Monday and arrived at 1 pm. We ordered the Sausage, Egg & Cheese, the Country Fried Chicken, and the Truffle Burger. Everything was made fresh. Every bite is packed with flavors, and the Japanese milk bun definitely makes a difference! As for employees, the cashier asked us if we wanna dine in or take out, and we opted to dine in since we wanted to eat the sandwiches as fresh as they could be, and she told us, "Oh, we're about to close soon."... Like, ok? Why ask me the question then? I thought that was odd. Seemed like she didn't want to be there at all, and not a smile on her face even once. Other than that, the sandwiches were still good and savory. My personal favorite was the Truffle Burger, and I wish I had ordered two! On our second visit, it was a Wednesday, and we came at the same time at 1 pm. We ordered the Ben Franklin, the Ribeye steak and egg, and the Nashville Hottie with a side of Chorizo Chili-mac. Everything tasted amazing! I wish the Nashville hottie had more kick to it, but other than that, it was still satisfying and my personal favorite on this visit! The employees were nice and attentive. We were able to dine in at this time without issues. Overall, each sandwich is outstanding, and I can't wait to try other ones on our next visit!

10/10! This place had good reviews but I always lower my expectations, especially with a delivery order! Eggbred easily exceeded my expectations! I ordered the Scramble me Softly (+ bacon), cheddar chive biscuits, and a side of sausage. Easily restaurant quality! The price was very reasonable in comparison to other places. No notes. No changes. Will order again!

This was the first time my husband and I trying the place. We ordered -1 Nashville Hottie -1 Truffle Crunch Burger (no bun so they substituted it with arugula) -2 sides of beer-battered potatoes. Everything was pretty good overall. The portions weren't very large, but the flavors were tasty and satisfying. The restaurant has plenty of seating. I think because it wasn't too crowded when I visited, though I've heard from my friend that it can get pretty busy at times. I'll definitely go back again for sure!

A convenient ample breakfast shop located on a strip mall near the freeway and with plenty of parking. Stopped by on a busy Saturday morning, so the wait time was pretty high but it was worth it. A lot of tables to dine in so there was no issue finding a seat. The Country Fried Chicken Sandwich (4/5) - the toasted Japanese milk bun was so soft and the chicken was flavorful and breaded nicely. I did not receive the side of country sausage gravy so I feel like I didn't get the full experience with this one. I would get again. Scramble Me Softly (4/5) - they use soft scrambled eggs in this sandwich but they were a little too runny. The caramelized onions and smoked paprika spread was a great combo that elevated the sandwich. Chorizo Breakfast Burrito (3/5) - there was no spice to the chorizo. It tasted more like mild sausage. The burrito was loaded with egg, beer battered potatoes cubes, cheese, and the smoked paprika spread. The green salsa was packed with flavor and better than the red salsa. Beer Battered Potatoes (5/5) - Crispy and great seasoning. Probably the best thing overall. Overall, sandwiches ranged from $10-14 and the breakfast burritos/loaded burritos ranged from $10-18. They also have other items like egg Benedict plates, lunch sandwiches, and vegetarian options.

A solid return visit with consistent flavor and great service. Came back to Egg Bread for lunch with BB after our first visit and decided to try a couple different items. We ordered the ribeye grilled cheese sandwich and the Nashville chicken sandwich. Both were really flavorful and well made. The ribeye grilled cheese stood out with its rich flavor, and the Nashville chicken had a nice kick. I also got the blood orange juice again, which continues to be a favorite. Service was great -- friendly, quick, and consistent. Overall, another good experience here. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to.

Eggbred just opened up in San Pablo and I was very excited to try! This type of restaurant looks like the kind you'd find in cities down in LA, SF, SJ area, so it's really nice to have something trendy like this down here! I got Scramble Me Softly because it reminded me of EggSlut's Fairfax sandwich and I am always craving EggSlut haha! The sandwich here is very similar and includes the same ingredients. The eggs were nice and fluffy, though I wish there was more filling. I also tried Benny on the Rocks, which had all the fixings of an eggs benedict, but on beer battered potatoes! That was a nice twist and the egg was cooked perfectly. The Country Fried Chicken comes with a side of country sausage gravy and elevates the sandwich. Without it, it just tastes like any other chicken sandwich. Service was quick, considering it was their grand opening, and we ordered 4 items. The staff were friendly and provided some recommendations on what their favorite items were. They also offered us extra beer battered potatoes while we waited for our order. I got to sample some salsas and they tasted really fresh; my favorite is the green salsa! I'm assuming they're for the breakfast burritos. The menu is very big, so there are a lot options to choose from. I'll definitely be back to try the other items! I'm looking forward to building my own eggs benedict next time and also try their breakfast burritos!

My friend invited me to check out this place with him. They just recently opened up with their grand opening today. I have looked online and most locations are in So Cal and other states. They were not too busy at 10 am when I showed up and the staff were very nice. Ordering was easy and simple as well. Though the menu was pretty vast, I had in mind what I wanted to order already. The Ben Franklin: Just think of an Egg's Benedict as a sandwich. Comes with Arugula, an egg, Black Forest ham and their signature bread. The Hollandaise sauce was on the side. Overall, the sandwich was delicious. It was not too salty and the bread was crunchy. The ham was good and the egg maintained its shape. I am glad the sauce was on the side because my sandwich was already naturally messy. I am not entirely sure what sauce it was from, since my Hollandaise was on the side and I used it as a dipper. Still, I found it enjoyable. The potatoes were also good. Overall, I had a good experience. The Hollandaise was on point, so that was a plus for me. I'll probably try the eggs Benny next time I visit this place.

Checked out this spot in San Pablo, this is a late review. I got an order to go, they were very helpful on suggestions for first timers. The food was good. They do have a variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Some that are unique. I will have to give them another try, since I wanted something different and I was in a hurry to order. Good spot to have a food establishment that is locally owned.

A new egg sandwich spot in the area is pretty rare, so it's exciting to see something like this open up for the community. Service was okay so far, but I'm hoping they'll get into the groove as they settle in. The food itself is good, though the portion sizes on some items could be a bit more for the price. That said, I do appreciate the effort they put into preparing and serving everything. There's also a big seating area, which makes it a great place to sit down and enjoy breakfast sandwiches and other menu items.

I got the breakfast poutine. I got it to go it was pretty good. I would go back again but maybe not to go.

    CHORIZO CHILI CHEESE HASH
    Tiff P.

It is always very eggciting to try a new restaurant. I ordered the truffle burger, limited time only ribeye asada chopped cheese toastie, and chirozo chili cheese hash. Starting off with the truffle burger, I was not impressed. I did not taste truffle and the burger was just bland. The ribeye asada chopped cheese toastie was delicious and I really hope it becomes apart of the permanent menu. Lastly the chirozo chili cheese hash was also really good too. It was really flavorful and a good amount of chirozo. Overall, I would dine here again but next time I will try breakfast.

Cute new place that just opened, airy and bright and love the decorations. First time here I tried the scramble me softly sandwich. Eggs were good, slightly runny and seasoned well. Very messy tho but well worth it so get lots of napkins! Helpful service at the ordering counter and fast cook time. Will definitely come back

I had the Marina Burger. The idea of goat cheese sounded good...not on a burger, however...zero seasoning to either of our double patties, so adding whatever doesn't help...no discernible flavor other than overwhelming sloppy goat cheese. The bacon was rubbery...and interesting, also no flavor...bacon w/o flavor?! Ugh. Patties cooked fine...just nothing special. The onions were horrible - sloppy, overcooked...just unappealing. Now I ordered the garlic parm fries...these are horrid. ALL the parm and garlic was at the *bottom,* not a topping, nothing sticked to the fries. Had to eat them with a fork, scooping this non-flavorful topping up w/ the fries...and the garlic is the worst I have ever had...zero flavor, and the parm? Where? It was there, only again, zero flavor. The fries at this place are frozen and have no potato flavor *at all*...so all in all none of either of our meals had any flavor profile or layering...it was simply food...the after taste of grill - smoke flavor is yuck...unenjoyable food all around experience. Now if they say they didn't grill...where is the flavor of smoke coming from? The location is OK...band was on a break, so didn't hear them play...not too busy, but I am curious now what Golden State Kitchen not far from this place has to offer...that was my original choice... The burgers were loaded and dripping with grease. My son liked his Fat Boi, but I thought the Al Pastor in the Trompo was a bit bland. The Trompo was also so greasy that grease was running down my hand and forearm while I am eating it, and I can feel my arteries hardening already! The Highway Style fries were decent. The order was NOT ready in fact, they didn't even make the fries. So they started the fries and I stood there while they were cooked. Why did you tell us it was ready when it wasn't remotely ready? I got my order and left, got home and realized the burrito wasn't there. I went all the way back and they said "we refunded the burrito, it's only served for breakfast" First off the menu does not say this. What I don't understand is why I'm charged an additional $2.50 for the lettuce wrap when I'm not even getting the bun. If you're taking something away, what's the justification for adding an extra charge? I could understand a modest upcharge, but $2.50 for a few leaves of lettuce is hard to justify. I can buy an entire head of lettuce for about that price. What bothered me even more was that no one mentioned the charge when I placed my order. It wasn't until I picked up my food and saw the receipt that I realized I had been charged extra. Customers deserve to know about additional charges before they order, not after the fact. When I politely asked why there was a $2.50 charge, the employee simply looked at me and said, "I don't know." There was no explanation, no offer to ask someone else, and no attempt to address a perfectly reasonable question. That level of customer service was just as disappointing as the surprise charge. The burger was excellent, but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. At this point, I don't plan on coming back. Or maybe I'll just bring my own lettuce next time. Better yet, just give me the burger without the bun, and I'll wrap the damn thing myself when I get home.
