I will start with the burger I ordered was amazing. A little over priced but boy was it good! The reason I am giving it a lower score was the service. If it was just a food review it would be 5 out of 5 despite the price. The person who took my order could not understand that I wanted the burger to only have cheese, meat, and condiments. I had to explaine about 7 times that no I do not want onions, no I do not want lettuce, etc. I planned on keeping about half for my dinner since the portions were very generous and I was given a to go box that would fit maybe half, if not less, of the food I had left. I had to wait for quite awhile to get a proper box. I also was never offered a water refill, was never asked how my meal was (I mean it was great so that wasn't really an issue), and she never seemed to care/listen to anything said or requested.​ read more

Funky wizard of oz theme but I'm here for it . I got the mushroom turkey sandwich. Very good. Perfectly prepared. The potatoes with my sandwich were warm and perfect. The workers are friendly and owner too. I like the fan toys and collectibles of Wizard of Oz everywhere. Please note the food was delicious. The service our waiter we had was horrible. He took our drink order which was water a couple came in at time when he brought the waters he took our food order then took the couple that came behind us order. 15 minutes later the waiter came and gave the couple their food then took they drink orders. 5-7 minutes later we received our food question the waiter why was the other couple served first when our order place first? He said and I quote "It's the order the tickets goes in". (So he never put our order in?). He never apologized nor should I expect him to. The waiter needs customers service training or if he doesn't want to serve people of color he need to say that up front. Fantastic food here, great staff. The wait was about 30 minutes but well worth it and not bad despite it being a busy Sunday morning without reservations. The wizard of oz theme was cute, they even carried the theme via the yellow brick road to the bathroom outside--my only complaint. Bathroom was outside, had to wait a while, and the ceiling must have been under 6 feet--crazy cramped. Please build a bathroom:) Otherwise, this is a fantastic place to eat breakfast for a good price. It's a Sunday morning must. read more

Blink and you will miss this gem! This tiny cafe is worth the wait! Hubby and I headed to Fort Bragg to celebrate our anniversary and honestly in a weekend full of good food, breakfast at this place absolutely tops the list. Dorothy's revenge is hands down the best thing I have ever eaten. The staff was super nice and attentive too! The whimsical Wizard of Oz theme was really cool and made it stand out in a full on beach town. I don't think I saw a table empty for less than a minute the whole time we were there, as soon as one emptied there was another party ready, willing and hungry to take their place. My wife Kathy and I first ate at Eggheads about 5 years ago and were very impressed with the quality, service and menu choices. We had our own similar breakfast and lunch restaurant for 32 years in the S.F. east bay area. We were back in Fort Bragg at the end of July this year and knew we would have to get breakfast here again. Kathy is gluten-free and Eggheads is very accommodating. Once again food was hot, delicious and service was excellent. I congratulate Eggheads for weathering the pandemic foodservice nightmare. I love brunch and was super excited to bring my parents here due to the high reviews. Unfortunately the only plate we all liked was the dungeonous crab omelette which was very fresh and delicious. The eggs Benedict was subpar. The place is small and the restroom was out back and run down. Everything came out in eco-friendly disposable plates. It's nice that they're trying to save the environment. If you check-in on yelp, you get fresh squeezed orange juice and you can definitely tell it didn't come from a concentrate carton. read more

My wife recently went on a roadtrip for our honeymoon and stopped in Fort Bragg. After my wife's due diligence in researching breakfast places, we came here. The staff was awesome. Very friendly and accommodating. The place is small, but the old decorations, wizard of Oz decor and staff made the place feel nostalgic and welcoming. The Dungeness crab omelet was amazing. I order the corned beef which was really good and full of flavor. My lady ordered the special Glendas crab garlic omlet which she loved and I enjoyed as well. The garlic was great and not overpowering. I had a side pancake that was amazing. To top it off the service was A1. Great little place it doesn't look much from the outside but when you get in there it's a very small little quaint place. It has the Wizard of Oz theme throughout including figurines pictures quotes movie scenes etc. etc. the menu is Wizard of Oz theme so you have breakfast specials like Dorothy's revenge. You wouldn't know just from the name that this restaurant is Wizard of Oz themed. I ask our server about the correlation between the name of the restaurant and the movie, and she informed me that there is none. Everything else about this place SCREAMS Wizard of Oz though; from the painted yellow brinks at the entrance, to the décor surrounding the walls, and even the specialty plates they serve share the mutual theme. I ordered the "Wicked" benedict. It combines two of my favorite things: Eggs Benedict and Wicked. The 'Wicked' part of the dish must be the hollandaise sauce. It's a tequila lime hollandaise. It's a little unique and fun, plus the color was just beautiful. The eggs were cooked to absolute perfection. Instead of Canadian Bacon they use a sausage patty that has a little bit of a kick, and instead of an English muffin they use a biscuit. I don't think this dish could be any more perfect for me if they tried. The potatoes that accompanied the eggs could have had a little more flavor to them, but that's what the Tobasco is there for. The entire dish is served on a sugar cane plate, which means it is totally compostable. Also, before to take advantage of the free orange juice check in offer, because that juice is as fresh as they come. Our server had a huge personality, and I saw the one other server has had the same. The downsides to this place are few, but they are there. The place is small, and when you're seated right by the window like we were, and the entrance is right next to you, everybody crowding in will basically be sitting on your table. The place is small, so there is nowhere for them to move to. The host was probably the only unhappy person I saw working that morning. Our table was not fully set up before they sat us. We were missing silverware and a coffee mug. Granted, they were slammed that morning, so it was understandable. I would recommend trying this place for a multitude of reasons, but the most important one being that their food is amazing. read more

Reviews for this restaurant seem good, but our Belgian waffles were so horribly overcooked they were very dark brown, hard as a rock and mostly inedible. They would have made good frisbees, however. We ate a bit but they were so bad we couldn't finish half. Our complaint about the overcooking was met with relative indifference. They did offer to make new waffles at that point, but we had already been waiting 30 or more minutes for the first waffles and didn't have enough time to wait again. They decided to charge for just one of the waffles, but if it were my restaurant I would be ashamed to charge anyone for those Belgian rocks. They should have been embarrassed to bring them to us in the first place, and rather, should have brought newly cooked ones and explained what had happened. So this was a bad first experience here, and we won't bother to come to this restaurant again. read more

Split the eggs Benedict with my husband. It was very creamy, tastes like they use a lot of sour cream in their sauce but it was still delicious. Came with side of potatoes that were seasoned well. I'd give 3.5 stars- but I rounded up! Very yummy breakfast! I kinda did a build your own omelet: Bacon, Mushrooms, Green Onions, and Cheese. The omelet was very yummy- but the potatoes it came with seemed old. They weren't very warm and they were crumbly. Nevertheless they were okay. I subbed my toast for a biscuit and added gravy. Do this. It's amazing! Very good biscuits and gravy My boyfriend got the Dorthoys Revenge and loved it. He loved the crab and the hollindaise sauce- but again the potatoes were subpar. All in all this place was good- but our total came out to $46..... for breakfast..... it was good but not THAT good. Found free street parking right in front of the the restaurant 8AM Saturday morning. We had a big group of 10, so it took about 30 minutes waiting to get us seated. The joint is very small, but quaint. The theme of the entire restaurant is "The Wizard of OZ" The service here was incredibly sweet and caring. The lady that took our order was funny and very nice. For food, had the: Uncle Ed's Steak and Eggs - For a petite girl, this dish was just the right amount of food, but for a bigger person I would recommend getting something else. The portion of the steak was maybe as big as a 3in x 4in. It came with 2 eggs (I had sunny side up) right two halves of a toast + jam , and red potatoes. (Special) The Wicked Benedict - The Hollandaise sauce came out in a wicked witch green color. The flavor was really good.
