    Egg Chicken Wrap
    Carl S.

My first visit to EggHolic was not successful because I thought it was a breakfast restaurant. It was an impulsive stop without any homework. They do not open early for breakfast and it's considered to be Indian Street Food, so go for lunch. It's relatively small in size with an order from the counter setup which is perfect for takeout. I ordered the Egg Chicken Wrap and it was very delicious but get two because they aren't very large. The chicken in the wrap had a great flavor but the amount could be measured in tablespoons. If you want a quick bite that offers real flavors, this place works well.

I wasn't sure what to make of this place when we stopped by for breakfast one day and it wasn't open until 11am. When we came back and realized it was a Desi restaurant, it made a bit more sense. The food here is clearly targeted to the South Asian clientele that are in this part of Sugar Land, and you can tell from the menu items, hours of operation, and majority of patrons. My wife and I opted to split a couple of paneer wraps (they're cheaper if you buy two), and a desi omelette. She also opted for a mango lassi. Both food items were solid wins. The paneer wraps were a great mix of spice and cheesy goodness, wrapped in a paratha that wasn't anywhere near as greasy as you'd find elsewhere. The desi omelette is served with either bread or roti. We opted for roti for variety. The flavor was solid, but the dish was notably very dry. Thankfully, we had plenty of leftover spicy chutney from the paneer wraps and were able to make the dish a bit more pleasant to eat. The mango lassi was a bit thicker than what we've gotten at other restaurants, but my wife throughly enjoyed it with her meal. The only real knock on this place is the amount of food for the price. We spent over $30 on breakfast and were still hungry, so we went to the coffeeshop a couple of doors down for something else to fill us up.

    Hum-Tum - seriously delicious $15.99

One of the newest restaurants in Sugar Land, definitely one to try out. Serving up Indian street food, the menu at Eggholic is pretty expansive. Ranging from curries to chocolate cheese sandwiches (whaaaaat???), it's likely that you've never heard of 80% of the items on this menu! We stumbled upon Eggholic one afternoon while visiting Qawah for the first time. The cashier greeted us immediately as we walked into the clean, yet empty restaurant. While looking over the menu, we asked a ton of questions and he gave us detailed responses and never rushed us - service was great! We ended up getting the hum-tum, which has a sunny side egg on the bottom covered in 3 different curry sauces and cheese. It's like nothing I've ever had before, in the best way possible. Served with white bread or roti, the flavor explosion in your mouth will have to coming for more - so we came back a few days later. We also tried the Gotala 2.0 (another curry dish with eggs), the samosa chaat and the tikka chicken. The samosa chaat was good but not the best I've had, I probably would not get it again. I enjoyed the Gotala. It was similar to the hum-tum in regards to being super flavorful, but a different flavor. The tikka chicken was good as well but the dish lacked enough chicken. Overall, great food but the prices are high for what it is. All dishes are served on paper plates, which goes in line with the theme of being Indian street food.

A nice little place tucked into one of Sugar Land's many centers that serves Indian street food. What a treat to try something new! The menu is a little overwhelmin at first. Not because it is big, but because I was not used to all the dishes they offered. However, the staff is helpful for a first timer. The mist try dish for me was the hum tum. The fish has a boiled egg, onions, peppers, and tomatoes slathered in egg gravy all laying on top of a fried egg. The flavors were amazing. A little spicy, salty, and aromatic. Egg lovers will love this. Gotalo 2.0 was desribed as the next level gotalo. Made with egg kheema and green garlic, this was another delicious dish. Definitely on the spicier side. We also tried a classic: chicken butter masala. The chicken was not dry and cooked well. The gravy was a little sweeter than I expected but very yummy. All dishes came with two rotis which I find to be essential to help balance the flavor explosion from each dish. The wraps and sandwiched looked great too and I want to go back to tryany more dishes.

Chicken masala wrap - 9/10 - $5.99 - So flavorful, spicy, and paratha was crisp. Desi omelette w/2 rotis - 8/10 - $8.49 - Had the home-made touch, tasted like my moms. Roti was fresh. Pretty basic tho, nothing special but tasty. New halal brunch spot in town with Indian street food. They have so many options as well as freshly made chai. Excited to go back to try their snacks :)

Worth the drive!!! We live in the Heights but ventured over here to try out some egg dishes that we haven't been able to eat since leaving India. We ordered Surati Gotala with roti, samosas, paani puri and mango lassi. Surati Gotala is an egg curry that you likely won't be able to find anywhere else in the Houston area. It was incredible!! Very flavorful. Tip: order "regular" and expect it to still be decently spicy. Only order "Indian spice" if you're experienced and think you can handle it. Don't say I didn't warn you!! Their Mango Lassi is some of the best we've had in Houston, which was a nice surprise and a fantastic way to calm down our spicy mouths after enjoying our curry. The staff is very friendly and attentive and they keep the restaurant very clean! This is a chain restaurant that's located in places like Chicago, Philadelphia and other major cities, so I'm glad they finally made it down to Houston!

Eggs are my favorite, and so I looked forward to trying this place out. I got the surti gotalo with bread and roti. In my opinion, the bread tasted better but 3 slices are not enough so we got roti to try. This dish is best to eat when hot. I also got the green egg rice with raita which is spicy but so yummy. The rice is ok by itself, but the raita is what makes it good. Also got the chai which is really good. There are egg, vegetarian, and chicken dishes on the menu. The difficulty is not knowing what each dish is, but if uncertain, ask the staff. That's what I did, and they were patient in explaining to me what each dish is. I find that other guests ate real quick but I took some time eating. On one of my follow up visits, I had the paneer sandwich which was really good, the dahi puri which was ok, and paneer gotala which I really like, can't wait to try the other things on the menu!

Had the greatest sandwich of my life-anda masala with their promotional offer on Wednesday. Lovely chai. 12/10 recommend. The guy was super sweet and helpful too!

TLDR: Eggscellent, do it! Clean, modern vibe, with friendly service, and SOLID flavors. Will be back! Visit: Weekday (lunch) Service: 8.1/10 The FOH was friendly and accommodating to my requests. Order: Paneer Cheese Masala- 8.3/10 It ain't easy being cheesy... the ample amount of seared paneer and melted cheese smothered in an extremely tasty curry is worth a try! Paired with naan/bread, this is a banger. Green Egg Curry- 7.8/10 Decent dish, but the green curry just couldn't stand up to the aforementioned Masala.

Late night Indian snack shop in the Shug burb. We tried a few things but the green boiled eggs (super spicy), and egg salad masala sandwich were the best things we tried. The vegetables in the club sandwich were nice and crisp. We didn't care for the large portion rice dish. The rice dish comes with cheese, eggs, tomato sauce and a yogurt dip side.

Great Indian restaurant with mix of food from all over India, I like the menu labels which reminded me about Indian street food, ambiance was different and owner has paid a deep thought in designing this place, service was excellent and food was so good that we didn't leave a single bite unfinished. Highly recommended.

Sandwiched between a department store and an ice creamery, it blends in a little too easily with the rest of the strip mall plaza and would be easy to glance over in any other scenario. Luckily for me (#1), I stumbled across their simple, but flavorful lunch buffet and haven't looked back since. The restaurant looks small from the outside and is most definitely a modest interior with very minimal decor (#2) and a handful of tables. The family running the place is incredibly friendly and does a good job of keeping the place clean, replenishing items on the buffet and labeling the items properly. Some immediate standouts included: a wonderfully sweet and addicting mango lassi, a silky yet delicate coconut korma fish curry, a strangely addicting garlic naan that paired nicely with their butter chicken, a nice crunchy kadhi pakora, along with some veggie friendly and delicious chana masala + malai methi paneer. The mixed appetizers were a blend of fried foods, which included a not-so-mini samosa(s) and a very crunchy aloo tikki. While I wasn't in love with the roti, vegetarian spring rolls, or the goat achari, I can tell they were only slightly less appealing due to how wonderful everything else was. I'd happily give these items another shot on a future. Finishing it all off with a delightfully sweet galub jamun made for a perfect ending to the meal. $15 is a solid price in 2025, but I really just appreciate that the food was simple, fresh, and abundant with a little pretension and lots of opportunity for solo dining. ___________ (#1) Trust me, I'm the real winner.
