I've been frequenting this restaurant for about 25 years, and until today, I could honestly say the food and service were consistently good. The outside isn't particularly attractive, but the quality of the food kept me coming back. However, my recent visit was disappointing. The lady at the counter was rude when I ordered two dishes: shrimp fried rice and curry chicken. I specifically asked if the fried rice contained peas because I am highly allergic--peas can cause a life-threatening allergic reaction. She assured me there were no peas. I went ahead and ordered the curry chicken as well, which I later discovered had peas in it. Since I live an hour away but was in the area visiting my doctor, I called to inform them about the peas in the curry. I explained that I couldn't eat it due to my allergy. Instead of understanding, she was dismissive and rude, and it felt terrible. I had already told her I was allergic, so I expected careful service. It seems I shouldn't have to specify every detail repeatedly. Today's experience was so disappointing that I feel compelled to write a review. Customer service matters--especially in 2026. She even raised her voice when I mentioned my allergy, which was uncalled for. I don't plan to return, as I deserve respectful treatment, and this wasn't it. read more

One of the only Chinese restaurants open late at night in da hood. Easy to order drive-thru service. Got some chicken fried rice with some extra chili sauce. Super cheap!! Rice was good, but not to die for. Chili sauce added that extra sazón. Would go back for the late night Chinese craving. read more

I have been going to this place with my family for what seems like decades now. The staff has never changed, and are nice. The food is amazing, i always get the vegetable lo mein, perfect. Even though the restaurant looks a little wack from the outside. The food here taste good for their prices. It gets busy a lot during the morning and nights. You can also call and place an order ahead of time and pick it up. My only complain I would give to this place is that you might have trouble with one the older cashier that works there. She can be forgetful at times and sometimes have trouble hearing. So try to make sure that she got your order right and your exact change. read more

Like many reviews I read, I finally went after driving by it like forever and seeing this place busy at all times of the day. I'm looking for a reliable spot for anything close to St Louis style fried rice (yes, it's a thing).....but this ain't it. I ordered shrimp fried rice: the rice was hard and seemed old. Not a whole lotta shrimp but it's was ok flavor. chicken fried rice: same as above. My daughter said it tasted better with sweet & sour sauce which is a problem in itself. garlic pork: actually good flavor! Not totally convinced I was eating pork, but it was tasty. egg rolls: big with good portions of chicken. Filling. Best part was the price. Really inexpensive fast and fairly decent Chinese food, but won't be a go-to spot. read more

I have lived in this area for many years but never tried this place until I went to the check cashing place across the street and noticed the long drive through line here, and went all in with a 10-15 minute wait to try it. The first thing to notice is that the restaurant looks likes its been there since the 80's or 90's, but when you see the menu, so do the prices! so 5.50 for a combo beef chicken at a place that is passable Chinese fast food seems fair. The portion seemed small at first when I got home but it was very filling with a ton of fried rice, it made a nice lunch the next day. Hey it is what it is, this is a place that sells passable Chinese food for a low price until 11PM daily, if you live in the area and are hungry after 9PM you have an option. read more

This place was a desperation hunger find and I was not disappointed. It was 11pm and I had been traveling from Austin to Dallas as I was preparing to fly out early the next morning. I had my friend stop at this establishment and it was super busy. I ordered veggie lo mein and it was only $3.50. They use wider noodles than what is traditionally utilized in lo mein, but it had excellent flavor. It was also a giant portion size. I had a veggie spring roll, also delicious. This is NOT fine dining, so don't take a date here. It's a Chinese restaurant that has opened in a former fast food place. It has a drive through window still in use and a limited amount of items, but it was a great quick meal. My food smelled so good that when we flew back into Dallas, we hit Egg Roll express up again on the way out of town. This time I had the mushroom fried rice. Fresh mushrooms sliced up thickly into your typical fried rice. They were very generous with the mushrooms. Again, $3.50, a great deal. read more

It's a shame I don't have anything good to say about this place, it is the closest restaurant to my house. In fact I have actually tried forcing myself to like this place numerous times to take advantage of it's convenient location only to be disappointed. Owners of Eggroll Express, please clean up the place and hire some chefs to revamp the menu so the food becomes delicious someday. We drive a decent distance on account of the fried perfection and fresh veggies. This place is a hole in a wall. My boyfriend and I like to get our food from the drive thru because they give you such a large portion for the price! Simply put, this is basic Americanized Chinese comfort food. I don't believe anything is over $5.00 and they give you enough for 2 people. This isn't fancy food at all, it's just filling and satisfying. I had the Kung Pao and it was enough to feed me for that meal plus two more, Awesome!
