I ordered the Pork Ba, Pickled Smashed Cucumbers, Pan-Fried Chicken & Mushroom Dumplings, Pork Bao Zi, and Peach Dessert Dumplings. The Pickled Smashed Cucumbers with the sweet and spicy chili dressing were a nice start, but the Pan-Fried Chicken & Mushroom Dumplings were fairly unremarkable. They weren't bad, but they reminded me of gyoza I've had at many other restaurants and didn't particularly stand out. The Pork Bao Zi had one of the better fillings of the meal. The pork itself was flavorful and delicious, but the bao bun was very plain and lacked enough flavor to complement the filling. I was especially interested in trying the Peach Dessert Dumplings because they sounded so unique. They were definitely an interesting treat, but ultimately fell a little short for me. The peach filling tasted more like preserves or jam than a fresh fruit-based filling, which made them sweeter and less balanced than I expected. The restaurant itself has a modern, clean, open interior and a casual atmosphere. One thing worth mentioning is that it was fairly warm inside, probably around 78°F. It wasn't unbearable for me, but with North Texas temperatures easily reaching 100°F+, some diners may find the dining room warmer than comfortable. Parking is also somewhat limited, so keep that in mind during busier times. Overall, I'm glad I tried Hello Dumpling, especially after seeing it on *Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives*. There were some enjoyable flavors and creative ideas, but based on this visit, the food didn't quite live up to the expectations I had from the TV feature. I'd give it a solid 3 stars and will go back to try some fresh noodle entrees.

I took one bite of the shrimp curry here and immediately it became my favorite BY FAR. And was half the price of my old favorite. The curry was also served with butterfly pea flower rice which didn't change the flavor but was super fun. The fried rice was really good but nothing crazy. Next time I plan to get their pho as that seemed like the most popular item. The drinks were also phenomenal and a perfect sweet but not too sweet and super fresh mixture. The table was sticky (maybe from a prior order of shishito peppers, lol) and I had to request and wait for it to be wiped down. The restroom was in need of attention and cleaning. Service was pleasant but not very attentive. Hostess was slow to seat me because she was chatting with coworkers. While the ramen (only) was outstanding, the rest of the experience was unpleasant. While I will be going again because the ramen is great, I really hope management looks at the change in attention to important matters and addresses accordingly.

Excellent service despite having no reason to, since we ordered through a qr code located on the tables. He gave us a good rundown of the situation of the restaurant and provided an in-depth explanation of the menu for my first time there. The flavors hit hot and hard but still savory and tastefully diverse. I had two seasonal signatures that were perfect summer refreshers. My first was a pineapple rum cocktail called Lewis Street Daiquiri. The second was a very creative spin on a Negroni made with tequila instead of gin. Lewis Street Daiquiri uses a pineapple rum combined with Yuzu Kosho cordial. A yuzu kosho cordial is a sweet, syrup flavored with yuzu citrus and a spicy Japanese chili paste.It's a creative way bartenders add sweetness, acidity, and a spicy kick to recipes. It definitely had all of that along with a bit of a sour feel to it with some light froth from some vigorous shaking. It's really tasty. The second cocktail is JuJu's Negroni. I've never seen a tequila Negroni variation. They use a Blanco tequila, JuJu's coffee, Pamplemousse (grapefruit), and coconut. JuJu is a local East Dallas coffee shop around the corner from MHB. I love the local touch to use a neighbor's ingredient. I cant remember why is has a red tint given the ingredients, but it must be the combination of the coffee and grapefruit liqueur. I think i remember them saying they clarified some combination of the ingredients, but i cant remember. Regardless, it was delicious ams you should definitely try it. You don't need an excuse to go to MHB because it's one of the best restaurants in Dallas and is Michelin recommended. I would go@back for both of these cocktails like we do for the world famous garlic noodles. Go try these beauties and visit our hood because it's one of the best joints we have to offer in Dallas.
