    French toast 10/10
    Marlisa S.

Great food! Everything was fresh and delicious. I got the French toast it was perfect. Not too sweet or eggy, you can add toppings to it like fresh fruit or whipped cream. Great coffee too. Also you get a free Swedish pancake with your order! Which they were so delicious! Service wise they were super nice and attentive, constantly coming over to ask if we needed anything. Friendly attitude. No issues. Locations has a private parking lot but there are other restaurants so it does get crowded. Not tons to do around the area, small shops, but mainly other food places. I still liked it though! Nice place to eat!

Came here with my little one to have a little date. Such a brunch vibe and love it. Waitress was very friendly and considerate for my son. When I ordered asked what fruit did I prefer mainly to know if I was sharing with him and what he would like. Food was good! I enjoyed the Italian omelette. They have a really good garlic hot sauce or something on the table. Never had that before. My son had the kids chicken tenders and gobbled it up. Overall enjoyed the experience. Close to home so will come back!

Brunch with friends on a Monday morning. No problem getting a table at 11 AM. The restaurant is located in a strip mall just off Las Posas. Lots of free parking right in front of the restaurant. Catherine, our server, came by soon after we sat down to get our beverage order. Service remained very good throughout (coffee frequently refilled and reheated). I went with the Italian omelet with a side of fruit and a plain bagel ($16). Very tasty. My wife got the California omelet with a side of potatoes ($16). That one was outstanding! Clean restaurant with fair prices, very good service, and very good food. Great place for a casual brunch.

It's always a great morning at Eggs n Things. My go-to order is one biscuit with sausage gravy for $6.50. I deducted a star because the ice water tasted like drinking from the garden hose, but the Santa Barbara Cold Brew was a pleasant surprise.

Where do I begin? Although the customer service was decent, the food was awful! Very disappointed with it. Details: My hibiscus mimosa was not tasty. I ordered the chicken fried steak. My husband, the NY steak and eggs. I asked for over hard eggs. They seemed like flat crepe eggs. The potatoes tasted a week old and were over cooked and burnt. My chicken steak was very salty. My husband asked for a medium rare steak. It was over cooked. The waitress took it back only to bring him an over seasoned, extremely salty steak that was very tough to chew. He sent it back and decided we go to McDonald's instead. The only good thing was the complimentary crepe they bring. Don't recommend this place.

The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was enjoyable and very clean. Although they were pretty busy, the wait was worth it. Our waitress, Charmaine, was attentive and friendly. She ensured our coffee cups were always full and frequently checked in to see if we needed anything. Our food was delicious, and we truly enjoyed visiting this restaurant after our little guy's softball game. It was a wonderful treat for our family.

Eggs were the highlight, but the things were not bad either! Very classic diner vibes, so nothing too unique to report, but just solid quality execution. Very friendly vibe too!

Omg! This place is absolutely adorable. The food was delicious and our waitress was the sweetest! Her service is unmatched! Super friendly place. I will definitely be back with friends for more.

My 1st visitTo this place.. simple tables & chairs but neat. A little tight in some areas of the dining room fast service. My only concern is the morning Joe is a bit weak for my buds. Other than that food was hot & served fast Do visit.

    Dirty smelly bathroom

Service. Ugh, sorry not good news! Specially after we drove an hour looking forward to have breakfast here. We have not been here for a few years so we don't know when these negative changes happen. The server told us the good coffee they had is not available either Food tasted good. When it comes to the Bathroom it matched their service! Not a good experience there either. See picture. Special: look on the floor under the counter: A Pair of Black Gloves their servers were using How do you think it got there? Who "missed" dunking it in the trash can ?

The menu is super customizable, which is perfect if you're not into typical breakfast plates or just want things your way. Everything comes out hot and the flavors are both classic and unique. The Eggs Benedicts are a must, especially the Baja-style version with chorizo, avocado, and that smoky chipotle hollandaise (drooling thinking about it now). The bacon sriracha burrito is flavorful without being overly spicy, and the chicken fried steak is tender, comforting, and exactly what you want it to be. Do NOT skip the mojo potatoes or the hash cake, they're both top-tier sides. Food is definitely the star here. In our experience the drinks are just OK. The lattes don't quite feel like cafe craft quality, but they do the job. They do a good cup of regular ole joe though. Service is friendly, welcoming, but not efficient. The staff tries their absolute best, but if you're in a hurry you'll need to waive them down each and every time. Weekend waits can be as long as 45 mins to an hour with you constantly having to check in on your status, guess that's a good thing! If you love discovering hidden gems with great food and a cozy neighborhood feel, Old Town Cafe is absolutely worth the stop. Breakfast done right.

I figured we would get something that I could tolerate and it would be okay - generic dining. I did not expect to actually have something to write about. But I was wrong. The grilled chicken they serve with the Chaufa is very nicely seasoned. It is bits of breast meat, grilled with a little char and adds depth to the otherwise mild flavor of the rice dish. My husband had Chaufa with shrimp, which I didn't sample but he ate the entire meal without complaint. We ordered the pork belly bites to start. They were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I enjoyed this appetizer so much that I know I will order it again. If I have the chaufa again, I would definitely have it with the pork belly. I ordered the lemonade and was puckering in a good way. Honestly, it tasted more like limeade than lemon. I was happy it wasn't too sweet because I could really enjoy the refreshing citrus flavors. I would go there just for a lemonade. They serve it icy cold in mug style, mason jar glass. Our friend ordered the iced tea and when it arrived. I was pleasantly surprised by the look of the fresh fruit in the clear glass, frosted over from the cold and ice. So nice. He said the herbs and fruit were a good combination. The wife of the owner waited on us. She is understated, friendly and efficient. We didn't have much of a wait as it looked as though we might have just missed the breakfast/brunch rush. I was impressed with how quickly we received our food. If we hadn't just eaten there a couple days ago, I would have gone to Azafran for dinner tonight. For instance, if you order the eggs Benedict, they come on waffles instead of English muffins; if you get a hamburger, waffles replace the hamburger buns. Our table ordered a coffee ($4.50), a strawberry lemonade ($7.00), a mimosa ($14.00), Benny Caught a Little Sam ($21.50), the Gravy Train ($24.00), and waffle bites ($13.00). With tax, the total came to $84.00 before gratuity. Benny Caught a Little Sam is a twist on "eggs royale". (Eggs royale is a variation of eggs benedict where the Canadian bacon is swapped for salmon.) In this version, brioche waffles are topped with a poached egg, smoked salmon, fresh tomato slices, spiced onions, and hollandaise sauce, then finished with a sprinkle of fresh chives. The Gravy Train is this restaurant's take on chicken and waffles: a Belgian waffle is topped with fried chicken breasts, smothered in gravy. The plate comes with side options, and I chose potatoes and fruit. Waffle bites are six mini waffles, similar in size to silver dollar pancakes, served with Nutella, whipped cream, and fresh strawberries. I didn't choose this restaurant, and I'm not a fan of "breakfast foods." That said, I found the restaurant's interpretations interesting and the presentation on the plate appealing. And I was able to find something on the menu that I felt tasted good.
