Second time I've been to this location. Not a fan. First time I went here I remember the trash can (which is out on the dining floor) was overflowing with trash not hitting its mark. It felt dirty. I was uncomfortable. This time my coffee was served with pink lipstick on the coffee mug (pink is not my color). My breakfast date silverware was dirty. Those are big turnoffs for us. Sets the stage. The meal itself was good. Although they could have served it on a bigger plate. Everything (sausage, bacon, eggs, toast, grits) were served on a too small plate. Very crowded. Not appealing to the eye either. The waitress was sweeping the carpet and then dumping the dust pan into the garbage just four feet from our table. Doesn't anyone have a clue here? I came here at 1:45 pm on a weekday. They close at 2:30 pm. The positives: The restaurant seems clean. I'm glad the syrup container was clean and not sticky. My server was nice and prompt at getting my drink, order, & food. The decor inside is ok. The pancakes looked beautiful. Priced very reasonably. The negatives: These gluten free pancakes were some of the worst I've had. Granted - GF is not always easy. But these pancakes were stiff and definitely had that GF grit. Yuck. The bacon was ok. Not crispy. The coffee was hot. But it wasn't good. Maybe it's been in the pot too long? I love coffee....so this was a disappointment. I didn't even drink half of my cup. I won't be back. However- the other diners have some yummy looking BLTs and food. So maybe this place good if you don't have a gluten allergy. read more

As an out-of-towner, my go-to method for finding good places to go is Yelp. This place was close by, with good review (and pictures of excellent looking food!). After a short drive, we arrived at what I would have first assumed to be your run-of-the-mill breakfast place. Excellent menu, top notch food, and great service. Not much more you could ask for. We were welcomed into the establishment with a smile and a great big hello by Mia. She was so nice and friendly to everyone that came in. Our waitress Vee was the best, she was fast, attentive and was willing to help me customize my meal to my liking. Welll when I say I am absolutely amazed of how I cleaned my plate. I got the two meats(bacon) scrambled eggs and chocolate chip pancakes and some OJ. The pancakes literally melted in my mouth... I gave it a Five because I FEED off energy and the energy was just right. Our waiter was phenomenal and helpful with the menu. I just got off working a 17hr shift and I was exhausted and didn't feel like cooking anything!!! Ever since discovering Café Reveille I've avoided middle of the road joints like IHop. Eggs Up Grill apparently has several outlets, but exudes the feel of an independent eatery. With its lackluster interior -- jazz it up, guys! -- I wasn't initially impressed. But you can't judge an egg by its shell. (Yeah, that was bad.) Linda ordered an egg white omelet loaded with spinach, feta and other goodies. It was very good (though the accompanying wheat toast looked like the cheapie brand of bread you pass over at Kroger's.) I had what's called The Hot Trio, a sandwich on "Tuscan pane" with grilled ham, turkey, bacon, avocado -- hold the cheddar. overkill -- lettuce and tomato. It was filling and tasty -- though the bacon got me a bit queasy. But that's just me. We both had their signature home fries, which were the real deal. Coffee was strong and good, though I prefer my half n half from a creamer, not those little plastic things you get at McDonalds. All in all a good meal reasonably priced, and a place I'm happy to return to. read more

Eggs up grill is one of my favorite breakfast restaurants! You can taste the freshness of their breakfast every time. It never disappoints. Lake is usually my server and he is super attentive and always very patient and recommends amazing options. We went for Easter brunch and the place was packed. Lake was still able to be patient while it took me forever to figure out what I wanted to eat because everything looks so dang good! Overall if there is any breakfast place I'd recommend, it would definitely be Eggs Up Grill!! read more

A very welcome addition to Crabapple! We came on a Sunday morning around 9:30 and ran into a 30 minute wait, but it was worth it. Waffle House prices, but much, much better food. (Home fries are awesome!!). The menu is extensive and has breakfast and lunch items available at all hours. Staff was friendly and service is prompt. One hour and seven minutes from putting our name in until brunch was served. Twenty minutes of that was the wait for seating, during their Sunday prime time. And to be fair, some of that time was spent studying the menu and placing our order. Thankfully we weren't too hungry or the extra long wait would have been painful. Our waitress explained the delays were due to a kitchen too small for the number of diners. But that did not explain the trouble getting drink refills. I ordered the Patty-O-Sullivan omelet with the home fries and wheat toast selection. The home fries could have been crispier and a couple of the potato cubes were a bit too large. I liked that the two slices of toast were pre- buttered so it had a chance to melt. I topped it off with strawberry jelly (versus preserves/jam typically found). I also had the Biscuit-which that came with a tiny side of gravy for dipping in a 4oz. sherbert dish. The grilled biscuit was good, with the cheese nicely melted over the sausage patty. The gravy was chock full of link sausage and was enough for dipping. My wife had the apple-infused French toast, a cup of fruit, and a side of turkey bacon. She enjoyed all of them, but would have liked the turkey bacon to have been crisp. Overall, I would return (if not in a hurry) since the food was good and the prices weren't too high. Terrible experience. I went here to enjoy breakfast with a business partner. We were profiled & received poor customer service. Firstly, we arrive then proceed to order. Once our order was put in we wait over an hour before our waitress comes over to inform us they lost our ticket & have to start making the food. Not only did they not start making it, they had no desire to do anything to better the situation for us. The food arrived to us incorrectly after 1hour & 30 mins of waiting. Also with me having an allergy to chocolate, I was so ineffably upset to see Chocolate all over pancakes that shouldn't have had any of them. We get ready to pay & leave but wished to see a manager there weren't any on-site just the "Owner" a very rude woman. She made us feel small by insinuating we just wanted a free meal out of her. After explaining to her we waited almost 2 hours to receive the wrong food & no one even checked on our table as needed. No owner should ever speak to us the way that she did. Very rude & this "owner" should never work in this industry treating her patrons that way. read more

I'm between 2 and 3 stars on this one, but our extremely warm and attentive waitress deserves 5 stars by herself, so 3 it is. My blueberry pancakes were dynamite. I mean, really REALLY good. The sweet potato pancake was interesting, but way too sweet and dense to eat more than a couple bites. My husband got the hash, which was not good. Do not call reheated boiled potatoes "home fries", they were soggy, undercooked, and bland. Not fried. Had they been named "red potatoes" or even "oven potatoes", probably wouldn't have been SO disappointing. Very mixed feelings on this place. If you want reliability, go to waffle house.
