I brought my nephew and his girlfriend, from PA, to Eggs Up Grill on a Sunday morning. ( I do this for any of my friends/relatives that come visit from out of state) it was busy-as usual- but only waited about 20 minutes to get seated. Once seated we got our drinks and then gave our server our order. Then we waited, and waited, and waited. At 30 minutes we inquired about our meal, mind you we didn't have our server stop in to say it was coming or anything........no drink refills no anything. We were told it should be just a minute. And we waited some more. At 35 minutes I called the server over and asked to speak to the manager which she said she'd go get. I waited AGAIN....no server no manager.....I then called over ANOTHER SERVER and asked for the manager and she said she was in the kitchen trying to help them out to get food out. So...there was an issue IN THE KITCHEN.....OK at least I knew something was going on. She said she would go tell her that I wanted to speak to her. I watched as she went about her area refilling coffee and getting people's orders, but never went into the kitchen. By this time we were there 47 minutes, SEATED, and I had just about enough ( yes, I know you're asking yourself " why didn't they just leave WAY BEFORE this" the place USE TO BE GREAT....and I really like the food there... I was giving them a chance to come through ) so at 47 minutes I told my husband to take our guests outside cuz I was gonna talk to the hostess and tell her how DISAPPOINTED we were with the whole experience. THEN I found out that EVERYONE IN THE KITCHEN IS NEW and they were having issues getting food out so the manager was in helping get orders out!!!!! #1 WHY WOULD YOU PUT ALL NEW PEOPLE IN THE KITCHEN ON A SUNDAY MORNING???? Evidently the manager has no clue how to manage. #2 WHY WOULDN'T YOU GIVE PEOPLE A HEADS UP THAT THE KITCHEN WAS BACKED UP????? Let people decide if they want to wait or NOT. #3 MY FAULT FOR WAITING THAT DANG LONG!!!!!!!! So we wasted almost 2 1/2 hours between being there and DRIVING THERE. So my guests left town with no breakfast cuz they had a 10 hour drive a head of them and had to get on the road, I apologized and now I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT EGGS UP GRILL and I'm so pissed cuz after all the COVID BS this place is the best choice in Anderson....oh how I miss how things USE TO BE!!!!! read more

I've only been here once, but I won't be back. The people working there are just fine, but on this side of town on a Sunday morning it's like a pre-church fashion show breakfast (some of the largest and oldest churches in Anderson are very nearby). It's loud, busy (packed), and to be honest - the food is not extraordinary. It's the same stuff you can get nearby at Waffle House or closer to the mall near Denny's. If you want to get dressed up and think about repenting for not being vegan, this is your place. Again, the food and service are fine - although you're going to wait to be seated longer than what's considered normal elsewhere. read more

Had brunch here the other day and it was soo good! I had the waffle and it was so delicious. My one year old also loved it, my husband had the French toast and bacon that was to die for!! So yummy. Wish I would have found this place before today! Servers were great, food was great, menu is fantastic - we'll defiantly be back. The corned beef hash is made in house, from scratch and is excellent. I just can't believe this place hasn't been reviewed yet but I'm glad to be the first. Everything about Eggs Up Grill is spot on and exactly as it should be. A bright, cheerful, clean, welcoming, friendly place. We have been to Eggs Up twice now and both times it has been a super experience. Our first server was Sam. She was great. Super friendly but not all up in your business. Our next server, I wish I could remember her name, but she was super as well. The food.....Ok for me if I'm going for breakfast the first thing I look for is Eggs Benedict. It just speaks volumes for what their other food is going to be like. Sure some think, eh no big deal, some poached eggs, ham, english muffin and hollandaise sauce and done. Ohhh not so my friends. There is a very fine line on great Eggs Benedict, good Eggs Benedict and then just so so Eggs Benedict. So for our first go at Eggs Up the Eggs Benedict was spot on perfect! The eggs were poached to perfection, english muffin toasted perfectly, Canadian Bacon perfect amount placed upon the english muffin, the hollandaise, again perfect and as it should be. The second time, well there was the ever so slight over cooked eggs. It lacked the runniness of a perfectly poached egg.....BUT they made up for that with extra hollandaise so who can complain really! My boyfriend, on our first try at Eggs up, got the Corned Beef Hash and Eggs. I believe the hash is made in house and it sure as heck tasted as if it was. It was excellent. Eggs were over easy and were spot on. The next visit he ordered the Mason Dixon. 2 sausage patties on a biscuit, a side of sausage gravy, 2 eggs and potatoes. I only tasted the sausage gravy but it was really really good. Oh and to top it off, they are open on SUNDAYS. I can't tell you how many times we are looking for a breakfast place open on Sunday and can't find one. Well now we have. AND for you early risers, they are open at 6am read more

Coffee mugs super rough looking so weird start. Waitress was amazing and so happy and bright...made up for the coffee mugs! Food was fair, had eggs bacon and a pancake....with obviously imitation maple syrup. My standards are high on maple syrup and this was bad! Good portion of food, could not finish it all! First time at Eggs Up in Anderson From what I can tell, this is the first and only one in the upstate. The food is good but my scrambled eggs were a bit over cooked. This can be fixed though. Next time I come here, I'll order them very lightly scrambled. The bananas foster pancakes were good. All in all, it's good to have this Beach restaurant in upstate South Carolina. Wife's food came and no silverware at the table. Her home fries were like rocks. They went to replace. My food finally came and my home fries were hard as well. Lost my appetite now. This place used to be the go-to breakfast for us and our visitors. It was delicious and efficient. Well the corporate world took over and decisions were made to cut costs especially on some of their most unique and delicious items like for example Pecan pancakes and/or waffles with cinnamon syrup. They went from fresh roasted pecans to chopped candied pecans from a jar or bag or can which ruined the dish. It became a pancake with crunchy bits in it that was too sweet. Portions got smaller while price went up. Long time staff left because of it. More and more mistakes with cooking. Etc. We went from going there 2-3 times/month to 1 a month and now we haven't been there in over 6 months. Hopefully things have gotten better and we'll try again soon but we kept saying that before. People or corporations that make decisions from somewhere else can't know what the people want. Let the individual restaurant make its decisions about some things because they did not want to change their recipe. read more

Eggs up grill is one of the most homely/tasty place ever. Every waiter is like close family. I would recommend the mason dixon for anyone considering going to this wonderful establishment. The mason dixon has many of america's favorite "fixings" with it. It has biscuits and gravy, sausage, and the option of home-fries, or grits. I HIGHLY recommend eggs up grill. read more

Wow. We finally tried this place after reading all the reviews. I had the corn beef hash and eggs , amazing. Wendy had eggs Benedict and was very Happy with it, she said it was some of the best she has had in years. The staff is very friendly and the cooks knock it out. From order to table was about 10 minutes and cooked to perfection. They outdoor seating, a little gift shop. You can get coffee mugs and t shirts. They are open from 6-2 everyday. Today is Sunday, we got there about 11 or so, we sat , ate and talked before the crowd showed up. Very laid back atmosphere. Right on the money. I think we found a new favorite spot. Loved it. Oh and the prices are very reasonable. If you haven't tried it and your in the area, you have to or you are missing out on a wonderful meal. read more

I agree with Heather P. She does a good job of writing this place up. I went again just a couple of hours ago and really enjoyed it. I tried a bit healthier meal than what I am used to, and I have to say that it was good too. I have never been a fan of Turkey Bacon and I avoid it if I can, but coming back from the cardiologist office this AM, I thought I better start trying to like it. I got something called Apples Raisins and Fruit which is 3 raisin beard slices dipped in apple juice and egg whites, and then grilled like french toast. I had these plain without the low calorie syrup they provide and it also came with a cup of fruit which had grapes, strawberries and melon pieces in it. It also came with a side of 3 turkey bacon slices. I tried the first one and was not real impressed, "hey... its turkey," but i kept eating them and by the end of the meal.... the turkey bacon was not all that bad. All in all the food is very good. This is a franchise and I knew that I had seen this place somewhere before. Well I figured it out... they have a couple in Myrtle Beach, SC also. This is the second time we have had breakfast there. It was very good as we returned for the 2nd breakfast. We are from VA and our son is stationed at Tyndall AFB, so Anderson is the halfway point. Stopped in at the original time it was supposed to be ready and they advised that they hadn't even pulled the order because they had been busy. Seeing the name we thought they were only serving things with eggs. They have a whole variety of breakfast and lunch items. I ended up with a huge omelet that came with toast their signature potato fries or grits.. having never been there I gave the potatoes a try. They had 5 different toast choices you could choose from I chose raisin. The platter came out perfectly and I cleared my plate which is something I've never done going when eating out EVER. I do enjoy eating here with my family. It's clean and the staff are always friendly. I try to get here early because it's usually full on Sundays, and there's really not a lot of seating, so you have to stand. I do like that the coffee is fresh and my fave dish is the hash Benedict.
