The owner seems to confuse a food allergy with a food preference. I have a dairy allergy. The owner berated me for "attacking" the waitress when I complained that I ate half an omelette before I realized it contained cheese. I'd explained my allergy and asked the waitress to "Protect me from the cook". Usually that works and I tip accordingly. Not here. I was the bad guy. I've eaten here since it opened and have been satisfied with the food and service until today. Maybe it was just the one waitress and the one owner. To update the owner: I had to cancel a trip to Greenville in anticipation though the Diarrhea and cramps didn't come til evening. Cramps were gone by next am the Diarrhea by next noon. Guess I made too much of it. Huh? Never had a staff that couldn't handle a "no cheese" request. The owner's right. I should have gone into the kitchen, talked to the cook. As far as breakfast goes this place is great. My niece is attending Anderson University and I look forward to visiting because I know we will breakfast here. There's always a bit of wait, as it's a popular local eatery. The menu is extensive and I try to get something new each time. So far I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered, but I have to say that the Hash Benedict has been my favorite so far. read more

I am in love with this place. I'm not from the area but I'm in town quite a bit visiting my boyfriend. We always have to take a trip here when I'm in town. The employees are all so friendly and super fast. The food is delicious. I've tried a wide variety of things on the menu and I haven't tried anything I didn't like. I've never had any of their lunch options but they all sound delicious. If you go on the weekends be prepared for a wait. I would recommend calling ahead of time to see what the wait is. The food here has always been decent, but after today, we will not go back to this location. We arrived just after 10am, and there was a wait (which we expected and had no problem with). We went outside to sit at one of the empty tables to wait (which is the only reason anyone is ever outside at these tables that we have seen). The last time we were here, these tables were empty and we asked the host if we could just sit out there. He told us yes, but we would still have to wait. Keep in mind, the tables were empty and nobody else that was waiting apparently had any interest in sitting out there. So we just waited for an inside table. Jump back to this trip. While we were waiting outside, the host came out and asked if we wanted to just sit out there, and we said sure. We were sitting at a two top, but the sun was in my eyes, so we moved to a four top where I could sit with my back to the sun. Right away, a lady comes out and asks if we have four people (she could plainly see that we did not, so the question was just so she could transition to the next part). We told her no and she told us that they like to save these tables for larger parties. Normally, we would understand that, but they had a crowd of people waiting, and NOBODY was sitting outside. I have to assume that they had the option and declined. We moved so the sun would not be in my eyes. When I told her that there is never anyone out there, she just repeated that they save those tables for larger parties. Being that this was asinine since there was nobody wanting to sit out there, we left, and we will not be back. ***Editing to respond to Donna. We did not REQUEST a table for four and you also did not seat us outside. We put our name on the list and then went outside on our own and sat down to wait, where all of the tables were empty. Your host then came out and asked if we wanted to just stay outside. We said yes, and then moved over to a table where we could sit without the sun in our eyes. I feel certain that had a booth opened up inside, you would not have hesitated to seat us there, despite a booth being for four people. Please tell me why it is ok for two people to sit at a booth, but not at an outdoor table of the same size. read more

Polite and friendly wait staff, pretty good food, fun atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Pancakes were a little overcooked and the orange juice tasted funny, but these are forgivable, overall. If you're traveling through Anderson, like we were, and you need a place to grab breakfast but don't want all the grease and mediocrity of a Waffle House, this place is exactly what you're looking for. I've been to this location periodically over the last few years and found it to be very good to excellent about 30% of the time. The other 70% of the time I consider it to be mediocre at best. I normally go here for breakfast, not lunch. So, my opinion applies to breakfast only. If not for the nicer seating and atmosphere I'd probably go Waffle House or McDonalds. You know, when you're spending about $10 (including tip) for breakfast it should be right. It should be good, but when it's not good it's usually because the scrambled eggs have been overcooked or (rarely) left on the counter too long before being brought to the table. I know it's a group effort to get things perfect, but having an expert cook who knows how to cook eggs properly is an integral part of the process. I notice most of the reviews are complimentary. Very dissatisfied with my experience. Had eggs Benedict with poached eggs that were actually more like hard boiled eggs. One server came by and asked if everything was ok. I told her the eggs were over cooked and she said ok and walked away. Our server came up a while later and asked if everything was ok and I told her eggs were over cooked. She asked if I wanted another order but my mother had already finished her meal so I declined. She gave me a voucher for a free meal and the bill. Bill was for the full amount. Manager came over and told me that I could use the voucher for this meal. Using a voucher for a free meal to pay for the bad meal that you got the voucher for makes no sense in any world. Since I can not reply to your post. Your solution of allowing me to pay for the bad breakfast with the voucher that you gave me for the bad breakfast is just reprehensible read more

Tried this place while in town visiting family and meeting a friend for breakfast. I had the Three Deuces. 2 perfect pancakes with 2 eggs & choice of meat. My bacon was tasty and my scrambled eggs with cheese were cooked just the way I like them. We were seated quickly and immediately greeted by our server. Coffee was perfect!
