Folded egg with bacon, avocado, mushrooms, onion, ball of goat cheese, and tomatoes. Soooo good! Beautiful presentation. I don't remember the name of my coffee but it was delicious! Only two cons: 1. I felt the waiter rushed us. 2. They have this way to pay online that makes you pay a fee for paying that way. If you have them run your card there's no fee though. Not a fan. Outdoor area available as well if you have a pup.

Service was quick and cheerful from all the staff. I had the fried catfish, baby lima beans, fried okra, and hush puppies. Spouse had shrimp basket, hush puppies, and homemade potato chips. As you can see, multiple fried foods. Fried okra is how I test "country" cooking. This was the best fried okra I have had in years. The catfish, shrimp and hush puppies were all excellent. It seems like they use a very light oil, but however, they do it the results are crunchy, non-greasy and bring out the flavor of the food. The way frying is meant to do. Very light breading but just enough. The baby lima beans were excellent. So many times I've had side orders that tasted just like they were scooped out of a 5 gallon can of Sysco product. I could be wrong, maybe it was the very very mild seasoning, but these did not seem commercial. A few caveats. There was a single catfish fillet and it was quite small. I recall getting the catfish fillet meal at the old Gibson's on the Parkway before it burned down. Two large fillets. But actually they could not compare to this. Hush puppies were excellent, I like more onions in them. But that's my preference. But for me, this does not takeoff from the overall five star rating, which I rarely give on a first visit. If you like country food, by all means go here. We will be back.

I trusted our excellent server (I think her name was Holly) to select the cut of meat for sister and me from the butcher shoppe, Corkshire, and it was beyond excellent!! It was just as good, if not better than the filet I split with my Sorority Sister when we came here for my birthday in February! Sister and I also shared their take on a bruschetta. It was good; however, for me, it was the "weak link" - I like a traditional bruschetta with buffalo mozzarella, balsamic, fresh ripened tomatoes, etc., and this was more akin to a charcuterie board on toasty bread slices. It looked beautiful! The meat topping was plentiful and lovely, it had more fat on it than I care to have. There was a sort of berry relish on another layer and that's where I called it quits on the bruschetta. My sister did enjoy it, though, which is what mattered! We ordered two mac and English cheddar cheese fritters for Sister, and she really really loved those! They were presented wrapped individually in their to go box, to keep each one warm, and again, Sister, loved them!
