Food is spectacular! They have several different options at all a reasonable price; perfect for Brunch. I tried the crabcake appetizer and the breakfast tacos, the latter of which I highly recommend since it wasn't too filling and it came with a side of fruit; the fruit was also great since it came with not just berries or melons, but also pineapple. They also have a wide selection of drinks ranging from specialty coffees, to cocktails, to juices. I had just a normal Cappucino but you can also get it with Vanilla, Cinnamon, etc added. I love this location SO much more than the EC location. The number one reason is that they offer the lobster omelet, whereas EC hasn't in a while (and not sure it'll return). The service is just so much better and the food is good too. They do add on gratuity to all checks, but we didn't mind at all and gave them additional for their attentiveness. read more

I finally tried the newest brunch place in Crofton and it didn't disappoint. This is a true brunch spot as they serve alcohol even though I didn't have a drink. Went Thursday morning around 9:30 after a medical appointment and there was no wait. It's in a former Bob Evans but was was tastefully redecorated in black and white. There's a mixture of booths and tables. Our server was friendly and be forewarned that they automatically add an 18% gratuity to the bill. You can always add more to the tip if so inclined. I don't mind that and support restaurants that make sure their hard working crew get fairly compensated. I was starving because I had to fast the day early so I ordered a big breakfast that included a little bit of everything. Normally I would order eggs Benedict or a breakfast burrito which they call tacos here. I think it was called the eggs extravaganza or exuberance whatever comes with French toast. Everything was delicious. I especially liked the potatoes in that they crispy on the outside and tender on the inside and came with just a little sautéed sweet onions. I didn't need ketchup. This place is ridiculously expensive, but almost worth the price. The coffee was the best cup of coffee I've had in years and the French Toast Flambé was AMAZING. My son's bacon was flaccid, which is gross. They really should serve crispy bacon. At $7, his tiny smoothie was overpriced by A LOT. The hostess wasn't very friendly, but maybe she has social anxiety; I don't know her life. She did seat us in a booth, which was nice. Our server was fantastic, even though he was crazy busy. I am so glad that we finally have a good breakfast spot in the area! My 10 year old daughter looooooooves the pancakes here. The kids meal is kind of small for her so she orders from the adult menu. I love that this restaurant offers turkey bacon and turkey sausage. The staff is really hospitable. The manager came and checked on us during the course of our meal and even cleared a few dishes off the table for us. I ordered the old bay wings & calamari for our appetizers. The wings were fried to perfection! Looooved the crispiness and the inside of the chicken was still juicy. Unfortunately, we did not like our calamari at all. There was absolutely no flavor on them. The breading on the calamari was very light and fell off as soon as I touched them. For our main course, I had the shrimp & grits with turkey sausage. It was okay. It was pretty soupy and kind of bland in flavor. I ordered mine with scrambled egg on the side instead of runny side egg on top of the grits. My daughter had pancakes with egg, turkey bacon & potatoes. She really enjoyed her food. I am giving this restaurant a 4, when it really deserves a 3 because I didn't remember to post a review a year ago when I had a great meal and great service. We arrived as a party of five at 10:30am on a Sunday. My expectations were probably a little inflated since I had such a good experience last time I ate here, so we had made it an annual tradition for old friends to meet up. It will no longer be an annual tradition. We were seated immediately at a table in a back room near the bar and given menus. Had plenty of time to review menu, took twenty minutes for server to acknowledge us. I used to serve so I took note of how many other tables she had. She acted like we had ruined her day when she came to get our drink order and asked for our food order at the same time. We received our drinks in a timely manner, but without our requested waters. Ok fine, maybe she forgot. Half our food order arrived immediately after the drinks by a food runner. Ten minutes later another food runner brought the rest on plates with something resembling cheese melted on the bottom of a few plates. No waitress came. I waited fifteen minutes and went looking, found a food runner and asked for syrup, hot sauce, and waters (he asked if we needed something). He did not bring any of it. Half the meal was gone when the server finally came and we asked again for those things. She came back with syrup and hot sauce and no waters. Meal was finished when she brought waters, mind you I could see in the kitchen that several servers were standing and chatting for a while. Food was bland, espresso served in a messy sticky cup without a saucer, much less a lemon. No refills offered on juice, eggs cold and unseasoned, potatoes cold. Received check with the tip section circled four times. No joke. Great start to the new year. Never going back, worst service I have had in a while which is a shame. read more

I went this, morning for brunch and was immediately greeted by the friendly bar staff (Ian). Lemon ricotta blueberry pancakes were soooo good! For sure the best I've ever had. Chesapeake Benedict was tasty but I feel that it had very little crab. Old bay wigs were tasty and nice and crispy. Mimosa flight was decent I would order it again. We were lucky to find seating at the bar because they were so busy, but the staff was very friendly and suggested the pancakes which I truly I appreciate. The place was clean. I used to dine at Eggspectation when I lived in Montgomery County years ago. I was delighted when I heard that Eggspectation had opened in Gambrills, MD. The menu has changed. I came during peak hours on Saturday. There were lots of people waiting. Since I was alone, however, I was able to find a comfortable & quick seat at the bar so that I could watch the March Madness games. The place is very welcoming inside. It was packed & filled with laughter & conversation. My server was Liam. He was very nice, accommodating, & took his time with explaining the menu. He also was quick to spot me when I needed something & quick behind the bar. The food was also great, fresh, & didn't take long to come.
