One of my favs!! The different locations have different options but its still good. Comfortable and cozy. Nice family spot or date spot.

I hadn't had anything to eat all day because of any earlier meeting, so on a whim I stopped at this restaurant which I hadn't been to before. I was seated in the bar area (I assume because I was by myself). Server came fairly quickly with a menu and took my drink order, then came back a little while later to take my food order. I had the French toast, which if not the best I've had, was pretty close, with strawberries, bananas, walnuts, and very good and plentiful syrup. Now the down side: I never saw the server again during the entire remainder of my meal, except when she whizzed by once or twice going somewhere else. I practically had to trip another one to get my check brought to the table. I give the food a 4 and the service a 2. Ambiance? That isn't why I came there, but there was none. read more

Would love to rate this place higher because the food is really good, but the service this morning was horrible. Restaurant was not that full, fairly quiet, and had plenty of waitstaff, but who we were assigned (booths in bar area) it was like pulling teeth to get anything. Never got drink refills, visibly annoyed when I asked for condiments, and when my husband followed up after 10 minutes we were met with a snarky "I have to wait for them to put it up in back" - understandable, but we were waiting an additional 15 minutes for you to even come over because you were having a HIGHLY personal conversation with a coworker behind the bar! It was making myself and other patrons visibly uncomfortable. Again, food was good, but service needs an overhaul on what's appropriate. read more

We've been here twice and both times it has been decent. Couple of complaints....a big one is how inconsistent the food is. We had ordered their peri peri wings once and the had an amazing sauce and chimichurri dipping sauce. The second time they were dry and had ranch dipping sauce. The waiting staff are not attentive at all. Each time we had to flag down the staff when we needed something. We also requested my son's food to come out with the appetizer since it takes him long to eat and it help keep him occupied. Food is always great! It's usually a favorite brunch spot for my mom and I. Dad and nephew joined our last trip and they raved about the food! Our server was Liam this time, he was fantastic! Full of smiles, super attentive and had us cracking up laughing. The Toluca Poutine has me in a chokehold, it is my favorite item. The shrimp and grits are next level. The wings were fried to perfection, so hot, flavorful, and crispy! If you're diabetic, I'm so sorry, but the gooey bread is the best way go! read more

So I visited this location for the 1st time today 4/21 to place a to go order. I first encountered a male hostess who was extremely polite. I was told to order at the bar. So my experience went from 10-0 really fast!! There was no one at the bar, I didn't have to wait long as a woman approached seconds later and threw a menu at me (didn't think much of it at the time) I politely told her no-need I'm here to place a take out order - in the process of trying to finish my statement she abruptly cuts me off "DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT" .. to which I reply yes (I looked at the menu online before going in) then I continued to give her my order, she rang it in and took my payment. All was well- signed and asked for a time estimate, she replied 10 minutes or less. I walk away for 2 mins and back to sit at the empty bar and surf on my phone while waiting for the to-go to come out (she had already taken the signed cc copy back when I returned) I was brought out of my daze n phone surfing once the bag of food was literally thrown at me "Thrown"!!! By the time I looked up in a state of shock her back was already turned and talking to another employee that came out of the kitchen, that employee was also shocked because she saw it happen. I could see her whisper to the woman bartender "what was that about" to which the bartender replied to her with a whisper. The only thing I could think was I did not leave a tip! Well Ma'am ( I say that with the little grace I have left for u) I COULD HAVE CONFRONTED YOU AND MADE A SCENE BUT DID NOT! I shouldn't have to tip you for taking my order you did NOT DO anything outside of your scope of work that warranted a tip! I did not employ you, Eggspectation Gambrills did! I do not owe you a thing. Your attitude was rude and unprofessional! My biggest pet peeve is unwarranted terrible customer service behavior! Find a new job! I shared my experience with the manger, whether or not he chooses to speak with her is his choice but I will never ever patron this specific location again! Went here for breakfast and everything was very tasty. The only exception was the cheese grits. They were a huge miss. I didn't even have more than 2 spoonfuls. Also it's a busy place so be prepared to wait during peak times. read more

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL customer service! All of our food was delicious. Some was brought out late and some had ingredients that were not listed in the description and our waitress and "manager" were useless. We were a part of about 14 so we were a large party it was a hefty table but we were all all clear with our orders. When we asked for a manager, our waitress sent some guy with a bunch of keys who clearly was not a manager to listen to us. He said "sometime you need to tell us when we are wrong because we are wrong sometimes". We looked at him like .. WHAT!? Never say never but no plans to visit again anytime soon. read more

I was really excited to get back here after visiting when they opened. Today was not their best day (IMO). Eggs should only he cooked soft if asked and this was not my request. I was so looking forward to trying Eggspectation,  I ordered the cajun pasta and it was hair in my food. Called the restaurant and some lady answered the phone saying they don't take out well how did I get my food. Ask for the manager and he said I can remake your food. I live an hour away no sir I'd like a refund.  Only gave me the money back for the pasta and I was charged 18% on the total bill. All the food went in the trash. Stay away from Eggspectation they charge you for everything!  Setting in the restaurant waiting on my food I ordered a drink and it was one of the worse drinks I had in a long time, asked for some Pickels and they had the nerve to change me for them. I am disappointed since they have changed the menu from what really worked. Ordered takeout tonight and the food I received was nothing like what I have received in the past. The lyonnaise potatoes which are normally buttery and crisp were overcooked and limp as if they had been reheated or cooked twice. The omelette was cold and tasteless. I've been to two other Eggspectation locations (love one, didn't really like the other), so I was hesitant to try this one. I am happy to report that I was pleased with my experience. They don't do reservations nor a waitlist that you can join online. Coming on a Saturday for brunch, I expected it to be packed. When I arrived, I checked in with the front desk to put my name on the waitlist but since it was packed, I decided to wait in my car. For 2 people, I didn't think the wait would be long, but when I opened the waitlist link they provided, I saw that we had 26 parties ahead of us.. My friend and I were already looking for alternative places to go for brunch but I'm glad we waited it out! We only waited 30-40ish minutes before we were called. After we were seated, we were greeted by our waitress who took our orders and quickly brought out our drinks. It didn't take long for our food to come out soon after. Food was good, service was great and ambiance was nice (just like a normal restaurant, wasn't too noisy but not quiet). I'm overall happy with my experience! I have given this place a few chances. The food is good. The cold brew is awful, it tastes like they made it months ago. The service has been ok once but is usually terrible as it was today. The waitress took our order and never checked on us again. Dropped the appetizer on the table with no plates and walked away without a word. We had to go find someone to give us plates. Same thing with the meal. She only spoke to us when taking the order and giving the check. read more

This is my new brunch spot!!! On July 23rd I met some friends for brunch at this location. I was actually skeptical because my last experience 3 years ago in Silver Spring, MD was not that impressive. This location has redeemed my tastebuds! The shrimp and grits are amazingly delicious. Of course, I had to add something sweet, let's just say the french toast did not disappoint. Everyone at the table was pleased with their selection: the breakfast tacos with a side of fresh fruit (YES YES) and those potatoes!! OMG!! This place is awesome. Staff are friendly and service was fast. I am a basic bacon and egg guy. Ordered the Banana split waffle and it was delicious. Great ambiance, for a date or for a family outing! I had the parfait bowl for my first visit, amazing presentation, fresh fruit, and was perfect for the non heavy breakfast eaters. The orange juice is a must try! I had it in the Valencia Tequila Crush, and it was life changing. There was so much to choose from, can't wait to go back and try something new! Ordered a dessert item at the end to share, I was underwhelmed with the amount of ice cream maybe bc the waffle was really hot and the ice cream had started melting. I didn't take a picture of it as it was disintegrating before my eyes. It was the best tasting thing for the meal, though, and we ate the whole thing. Mimosa was really small and $10.00. I went with the kids for breakfast yesterday. I was blown away. We were seated immexiately on a Sunday morning. Service by Paola was excellent. Our food was outstanding. I had the breakfast tacos and couldn't believe how good they were. My kids had pancakes and french toast and cleared their plates. Aaand they had a bar. I had two mimosas and definitely left a little more giggly than I arrived. The kids and I are already makimg plans for next week and we might even bring dad.
