My dad and I came on Saturday around 12:30 PM and got seated quickly. It was pretty full so if you have a big party I recommend calling ahead. EXCELLENT service, I wish I caught the name of our server because she was absolutely amazing. I've never been so politely "yes ma'am"'d in my life and I appreciated it. When I asked for hot sauce she asked which one, and then said she could bring all of them and I was delighted! The menus looked a little worse for wear, which I found funny. No big deal as we knew what we wanted from looking at the menu online anyways. The food itself was good. My dad's breakfast burrito was delicious and he got a side salad along with it. I ordered the chicken fried steak and honestly it didn't have too much flavor - it was as if they'd forgotten to season it, or at least salt it. My dad's side of ranch for his salad helped a bit and the texture was great at least. Also, just fyi they use cream gravy and not sausage gravy for their chicken fried steak (I asked as I saw sausage gravy for their biscuits and gravy dish). They have fruit OR berries as a side so I got both. I picked up a raspberry and noticed it had mold so I didn't end up eating the berries. Easy to overlook so no worries about a single berry, it happens. read more

The manager was very rude! My waiter Justin was awesome as always! The manager was acknowledging certain people and certain people he was not acknowledging. Just stay off the floor if you are not going to be kind to everyone! He even called my waiter away from speaking with me. When my waiter was speaking with other tables longer than he was with myself. I've been coming here 4 years and never once felt so uncomfortable. To the point I got my food to go mid way through my meal. The new owners definitely need to correct this at least I hope they do because it affects the representation of the restaurant. Had it not been for the manager Gatsper I believe his name was I would have given 5 stars because Justin and the other waiters are so friendly and kind. The food is good but the manager absolutely not a match!!! I was sure to pray for that man before I left because he needs it, his heart needs to be softened. Tried to over charge us for multiple orange juices, and coffees. The sausage patties were really dry and hard. The hash browns were completely burnt and not very edible and were charged 4$ for 5 slices of strawberries. read more

This visit was my second. I came on a weekday and this was my first visit on the weekend. I met the manager or owner during my first visit as he was visiting tables to check-in. He was a very nice gentleman. This hidden jewel is a must for food lovers especially those who LOVE breakfast foods. The omelettes and hash browns here have FLAVOR. It's beyond the regular taste of potatoes and eggs you typically get from most restaurants. Now if you get your eggs scrambled, you will taste your typical egg. Presentation looked good, but... This place use to be a rare find, now seems like everything is drowned in some sort of gaging preservative, Yuk! How hard is it to serve a fresh egg no preservatives! Eggsquiste atmosphere was very friendly and attentive. Got seated right away. Food came out fast. I had the veggie skillet and sub the hashbrowns for sweet potato fries.. Top tier skillet. Over easy egg was cooked to perfection. Vegetables were seasoned and grilled, Monterey jack and cheddar cheese gave the skillet the cheesiness that every skillet deserves. The pancakes were cooked perfect dusted with powder sugar and served with hot syrup.. Bacon was crispy. This was really a great place for breakfast. read more

The Resturant was crisp and clean. It feels open and inviting. The menu selections were fantastic. There were tons of options. The staff was helpful and responsive. Loved their coffee! My wife had the Avocado Benedict and I had the Combo with the Cinnamon French Toast. We were both very satisfied with our selections. We took advantage of the "Waiting List" on Yelp. DELICIOUS! Definitely a must try in Rockwall, TX. I've had this spot saved for almost a year now and my partner and I finally stopped by. We came on New Years Day and there was a bit of a wait. The hostess was sweet but she seemed a bit overwhelmed with the rush, which is okay she handled everything very well. We met the manager Gasper (pronounced Yasper like Casper the ghost lol) he was super sweet and amazing. I can't remember our servers name but she did an okay job. I ordered the crab cake benedict. Delicious but I wish there was a little more of a crunchy element or bite to the meal. He got the traditional breakfast: eggs, bacon and pancakes (cinnamon toast pancakes). His pancakes were waaaayyyy to sweet for me but perfect for him. The food came out super quick like 7-10 minutes after we ordered it quick. But I mean it is breakfast lol. This place is HOPPIN on a Sunday afternoon (1pm) but we were seated as soon as we walked in and I already have a warm cup of coffee in my hands. Hubs and I are both going for veggie omelets, and he's got a berry yogurt bowl coming, too. Service seems fast and efficient- tables getting cleared almost as soon as the leaving patrons push in their chairs. The rest of the restaurant world may be having a shortage of servers, but not here! They are all hustling and bustling around in a team effort and it shows! Wow y'all, this is a feast of food! The grits are super lite, the eggs in the omelet are sooo creamy and TH roasted tomatoes are a delicious juicy addition. Seriously, this is a damn good omelet!! Hubs has commented twice now, this is the first time he's been able to enjoy grits without having to doctor them up with salt pepper and butter. And the hash browns are the right mix of crunchy on top and soft underneath and not even the least bit greasy. And hub's fruity yogurt bowl? It could easily stand alone as dessert! Tbh: I'm sad I saved the pancakes for last because they are the flavor of vanilla cupcakes and barely need any syrup. Everything was SO good! I'm stuffed!! This is the best breakfast spot in the Rockwall area. Our family (with small kids) comes once a week, it's tradition now, and everyone loves it. From picky toddlers, my wife's high expectations, to my clean dietary choices, everyone has great options. The food is to die for, and you don't necessarily have to get the heavy stuff to be satisfied.
