Wow. Just wow. My family and I were on the way to queens to catch a Mets game and we knew we have to pick up some dumplings. When in flushing, right? We wanted a place for a quick grab and go and this restaurant fit the bill. It's very small and they move quickly. We ordered the steamed shrimp pork dumplings and pan fried pork and cabbage dumplings. These are the best dumplings I have ever tried. My husband is still talking about it a week later. I will definitely come back next time I'm in the area. Give them a try!

I usually get my dumpling fix whenever I'm in Chinatown, but today the line was out the door due to social media and tourists, so I decided to try a new place out in Flushing instead called Handmade Dumpling. The place is tiny and had a small table with 2 seats. There were two workers in the front making wrappers and folding the dumplings. The lady taking orders and working the cashier was very nice. She could speak English, but mainly spoke mandarin and limited cantonese. I ordered the boiled shrimp and corn, and boiled pork and chive. If you pay in cash, you receive 15-16 pcs for $15 on various filling options, and frozen dumplings are $30-$35 for 50 pcs. The price is a little pricey, and the wrapper is a little thick (which probably works better when frying), but the filling is pretty good. I would be back to try their other filling options or a fried versions.

I came here to try their dumplings, and had an overall great time. Inside is incredibly small with basically no seating. I went when it was rainy, and the ladies were kind enough to let me eat inside on their singular seat. There was a language barrier, but we got my order across. They were out of some flavors I wanted, but it was fine. The dumplings were 15 for $15, which is a bit expensive. However, the dumplings came pipping hot and it was perfect for a cold day. The wrapper is thicker, and the filling is generous.

Huge and high quality. Pretty awesome place. The wrapper and filling are top notch. It's on the more expensive side but worth.

The steamed dumplings here might be some of the best I've ever had. I usually go for steamed dumplings over fried and these were the softest and most pillow-like morsels that exist! I was also so happy that they were very juicy too. We tried the steamed pork, shrimp, chives and the pan fried pork, shrimp, cabbage and we literally inhaled them in 15 minutes between two people. They were more expensive, $16 for 15 but they were worth every penny. The dumpling skin was amazing, not too thick and the texture reminded me of handmade noodles. Every bite just kept getting better and better.

Dumplings were really good, just mad that I didn't get what I ordered because some jerk took my order as his. But whatever, what he ordered was pretty good too, got the pork and chives. It is a hole in the wall takeaway spot. I'll be back to try the pan fried ones.

I have had a lot of dumplings From a lot of people including Chinese grandmas I've even made my own dumplings These were the best dumplings I've ever had These are the best dumplings I will ever have This will also be the only yelp review I ever write

To be completely honest, I stepped inside just to stay warm as I wait for a friend. The prices while not cheap, is also not expensive. 15-16 pcs for $15 on various filling options. Frozen $30 for 50 pcs The ladies are in the front folding these dumplings. There's only 1 sit down table. Very nice staff but they mainly speak mandarin and some broken cantonese. Dumplings are soo good though. Absolute must, and not having to go into new world mall or the congestion zone of Main street

Cuisine: 6 Service: 7…read moreDecor: 4 Value: 7 I have not been here in a long time. Maybe because the prices are no longer considered cheap eats. Or maybe because my taste buds have evolved over the years. Or maybe it's just not as good as it used to be. The answer is maybe all three and somewhere in the middle. I have never came here, or any other Latino-Chinese restaurants in NYC, for service or decor, so let's set that aside. The value is still somewhat there, but the food did not hit that nostalgic note I was looking for. I wanted to get the Fried Pork Chops (Chuletas De Cerdo Frita), but our server suggested the "juicier" Broiled Pork Chops (Chuletas De Credo Asada) instead. Sorry to report, if that's juicy, then how dry is the fried pork chops? I shutter at the thought. It was also under seasoned. I substituted the House Fried Rice for my side at an $4.50 additional fee. It was just okay and not worth the upgrade. Boneless Crispy Fried Chicken (Chicharron De Pollo) was also a disappointment. The batter was more hard than crispy, but the idea that boneless dark meat isn't more juicy simply tells me that the chef over fried the pieces. It came with Fried sweet plantains, which could have been a but more ripe but not bad. I'm not sure how I feel about the Beef Stew (Carne Guisada), which had relatively tender meat, but the sauce was so weak and lacked any real flavor. The black beans and white rice that came with it was decent. What might bring me back to this restaurant sooner rather than later was the Shrimp Egg Foo Young (foo Young Con Camarones). I felt that the eggs were cooked extremely well, but the star of the show was that delicious brown sauce full of umami. Having this over white or fried rice made this meal much more acceptable. I'm not sure when I'll have another craving for this type of food. If I do, I'll definitely get the egg foo young again. However, the other dishes were misses for me, so maybe I'll try the Fried Pork Chops and Shredded Beef in Tomato SayceRopa Vieja.

Food is good, quiet and clean…read more Service is impeccable. My fiance and I drink water like fish. Our glasses were never empty. Warning to all with a pineapple allergy like me: do not eat the duck sauce. If you like spicy ask for hot mustard instead. Orange chicken was crispy and flavorful. I did not find it spicy, but my spice tolerance is very high. My fiance had the chicken with broccoli and it looked amazing. Try the cold noodles. They are chewy and delicious. For me the fried dumplings were good, but not great. Worth a try but nothing to rave over.

The menu here is split into two sections, classic American Chinese take out and Sichuan cooking…read more Seems to be a fairly popular take out spot, as they were fulfilling many delivery orders while I was there, but the interior is comfortable and elegantly decorated unlike a standard take out only spot. I ordered the cured pork with garlic shoots and dry fried green beans. The cured pork was quite salty, and paired well with the buttery, tender leeks it was cooked with. The dish was not overly oily, and was pleasant over white rice. I enjoyed the chewiness of the pork which allowed you to experience the complex flavor. The green beans were well fried, with characteristic texture signature to this dish. The seasoning was very well balanced and not overpowering to the natural sweetness of the green beans. I would recommend either dish. They were both slightly toned down iterations when compared to the times I've eaten these dishes at other Sichuan restaurants in flushing, but still well seasoned and well cooked. The service was very warm and friendly, and many other customers seemed to be returning regulars.
