Okay. Did not take a pic of the stir fry that is on the summer menu. It was fabulous. I think it's the best thing on the menu ever. Good job to the chef!!! Beer is always top notch. Love this place. The staff is amazing. Friendly and always welcoming. Great job Hoppin Frog !!

They have good beer and good food! Can I stop here...sure, but you would like that. It is a little odd of a place to find since it looks like it is in a whole bunch of storage sheds. I kinda like the charm that it gives the place. Always a nice selection of beers. The apps were a little on the lighter side, but times of food to choose from. Come hungry!

Love this hidden spot. Hoppin Frog has always been known for great beer. Now there is a place where you can go to sample not only their collection... but rare and hard to get beers from other breweries. The food is great. My fiance would shoot me in the face with hot lava if it got her free panini sandwiches from Hoppin Frog. The place is small and there are no TV's showing the game. But that is the point. It is all about the beer. It is all about trying as many as you can. And they make that easy by offering 5 oz samples at a few bucks a piece. Now you can sample 8 different beers without worrying about waking up next to the sasquatch that has been giving you googly eyes from accross the bar all night. Highly reccomended. (The spot... not the sasquatch.)

Working in Akron, the tasting room at Hoppin Frog is a regular after-hours meeting spot for a good drink. The brewers here have been doing their thing longer than most other craft breweries in the area, and you can definitely taste the difference. My favorites are: Gangster Frog, Karminator, and the Turbo Shandy in summer.

Best beer in Ohio & delicious food to top it off! We went for the Barrel Aged Beer Dinner on 13 January 2014. It was well worth the $100 per person price tag! The "welcome" beer was Barrel Aged Outta Kilter Scotch Red which was aged in special barrels previously used to age scotch. It was amazing. If you get a chance to go to the brewery and get yourself a bottle (or case!), you will be pleased. The first course was French Onion Soup made with bourbon instead of wine and paired with Barrel Aged BORIS Van Wink Imperial Stout. I have to give it to them, the French Onion Soup was actually better than mine - and mine is an actual secret French family recipe! However, I "politely cut" the onions for my soup and they do not, so I could still give them a few tips! The second course was Chicken Satay Salad paired with Barrel Aged Frosted Frog Christmas Ale. The beer was the best Christmas Ale I've tried, hands down. The salad was very good, I would rate the salad a 4-stars and the beer 5-stars. The third course was by far my favorite. This is when I began taking pictures of the food because I knew I would want to write a review. It was Beer Barrel Smoked Salmon (en Croûte) paired with Barrel Aged Naked Evil Belgium Barley Wine. This was my favorite beer, as well. The fourth course was Osso Bucco paired with Barrel Aged Doris Double Imperial Stout. It was tasty, however, the Osso Bucco was a bit too fatty for my tastes. And I am not the hugest fan of stouts. This was my least favorite course (but my husband's favorite course!). The fifth course was Lemon Berry Tart Dessert paired with Barrel Aged Turbo Shandy Citrus Ale. The tart itself was delicious, and then they took it a step further by drizzling a fruity sauce over top that had habaneros in it! Epic! The sweet, tangy, and spicy flavors were absolute heaven. I want the recipe for this so bad! All in all, I highly recommend this brewery and the food! I will absolutely be back! If you like IPAs, try their Gangster Frog. It's my favorite beer they brew by far. It wasn't included in the meal, but I must make a mention of it in this post!

The bar employees were quite rude when we asked for high chairs, snarking they don't have any available here. Looking around there were multiple families who both young children on their laps. Hard pass on this place. Used to be good hangout without kids but we won't be back if they cannot have basic accommodations for families.sad because we like the beers here and food is not terrible for bar food.

Not sure why we've never been before, but we finally checked out Missing Falls Brewery this weekend…read more-- and we're glad we did! The building was easy to find, and while the parking lot is large, it seems to serve several nearby businesses, so finding a spot took a little searching. Once inside, we grabbed seats at the bar and were greeted quickly. The bartenders were friendly and got us menus right away. I ordered a flight and tried Golden Zip, Mango Rx, Nice Pear!, and Get to Steppin'. Nice Pear! was the standout -- a super crisp, light cider with a ton of flavor. Mango Rx came in second for me: great flavor, smooth, and not too heavy. For food, I chose the New Kind of Kick sandwich, which features a spicy garlic crispy chicken breast topped with beer-battered jalapeño slices, bleu cheese, and peppered bacon on a ciabatta roll. It was absolutely delicious. The fresh-cut fries were great, too. We also grabbed the mozzarella planks after seeing several tables order them. They were definitely tasty, but the marinara sauce didn't quite match the quality -- pretty basic and a little disappointing compared to how good the planks themselves were. Overall, we really enjoyed our afternoon at Missing Falls and will definitely be back soon!

Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday. Partner ordered wings…read moreand I opted for the chicken sandwich. Both were very tasty. The huge portion of fries was too much (but delicious nonetheless!) It's worth noting that they share a space with Magic City Brewing and when walking in, it wasn't immediately clear what we were supposed to do. The only bartender on staff wasn't particularly talkative/welcoming in the sense of explaining what was going on or how things worked ...and the Cult Kitchen staff are behind a window past the bar. (I dont necessarily blame CK for the MCB bartender, but they're choosing to share that space and it's part of the experience so it seems like it's relevant.) We sat down at a booth and realized was a small table sign with a QR code for the food and drink menu. Below the codes is a small line of text that explains to go to the Cult Kitchen window for food and go to the bar for drinks. This isn't necessarily a bad setup, just had to adjust our mindset as it's more casual and in line with a food truck experience. ...like going up to the window more ketchup (it's in little lidded containers) for all those fries ...and cleaning up after yourself, as there is no one busing tables. Again, the food was very good but the overall experience was just lacking. It seems like it could be something really special if the hospitality and service was there!

Despite the positioning on their website it's not a traditional sit down place. It's an order window and then they bring food to the table. They share space with the Brewing company so a bottle of soda is what you get from the order window but anything else you go over to order at the bar separately. Two of us went for an early dinner. We opted for pretzel app which were tasty and a very big portion resulting in us not finishing them. I would say that app could easily serve 4. Slider special was tasty but considering the heavy portion of fries not everything on my plate was finished and neither was my coworkers meal. Eyes were bigger than our stomach. Place has about 10 (?) tables/booths and then folks sitting around the bar at the brewery side. I imagine on a popular day of the week (we went mid week before the dinner time rush) it could get crowded and loud. Feel of the place is grunge/biker though clean and well kept and without feeling 'theme restaurant'. I would say it has its only unique personality. Had we been more prepared from the restaurant's website for what the place was we might have more enjoyed things. It's just feels more 'out drinking and getting the nibbles' than a destination meal.
