I also spoke to one of his colleges and he just shook his head and told me what needed be done to fix his work. In addition, when I needed to have stitches removed his receptionist removed them! Dr. Silberg may have been a good plastic surgeon years ago but his last few years was a disaster. I'm not the only patient he took advantage of. I spoke to his wife who was answering the phone and told her he promised to fix his work but now I would have to pay another doctor. She said "well who do you think should pay for it"? I got on this site and read some of these reviews and was shocked! I have lot's of plastic surgeon friends here in Marin, but all of them were twice as expensive! (literally double!) I looked at their reviews here too, some were absolutely horrifying as well!! It frightened me to death...so I waited. Then, I noticed, after several months, once my friends joined Yelp and starting paying the monthly advertising fee, their reviews, (at least the one's that show) were suddenly glowing. Dr. McClure is very established and doesn't feel he needs to be a member of Yelp, nor does he pay the fees. Hmmmm, just sayin' don't believe everything you read! So, I decided to trust my friend and my gut and proceed with Dr. McClure. I couldn't be more pleased and happy!! Not only is my turkey neck gone, but I had a bump on my head for many years that Dr. McClure removed, free! Dr. McClure asked me to follow up about a month after surgery, then a year after. At the 1 year mark I noticed a very small bump. No one even noticed, besides myself. I showed it to Dr. McClure and he said, that's easy to fix, we can do it in 15 minutes without anesthesia and I'll do it for free. I scheduled an appointment. While fixing the tiny bump, he noticed a small portion of my scar hadn't healed to his liking. (I didn't see anything) So, he fixed that too, again, for free. As I was thanking him, (btw, my scars are almost undetectable!!) he said, "I tend to be a perfectionist, if I see something I fix it, even if my patients can't afford it. If I feel it really should be done, I simply include it free". Dr. McClure is an excellent surgeon and truly a very kind man. He volunteers his surgery skills, (several months a year) all over the world, fixing untold horrific scars, cleft pallets and burns. This past few weeks, I had a swollen lymph node beneath my ear drained in a local hospital - a simple procedure - and apparently the doctor punctured a vein and it swelled to three times the size it was when I came in. For two weeks I was in agony as it continued to swell while the hospital staff said "nothing we can do. It will heal eventually." This after CT scans, MRI's, everything. The swelling pressed on my ear canal, my jaw, and I looked like Quasimodo. I went to Keith Denkler in excruciating pain. In 30 minutes he drained 13 cc's of dark blood and relieved the pain - I hardly felt anything as he did it. The next day he drained another 13 cc's - and over the weekend, the massive swelling in my jaw continued to shring to 1/4 of the original side. He did it all with little or no discomfort. I've been able to work, sleep and avoid pain meds - none of which was true for over two agonizing weeks. This is a doctor who cares who knows, and should be teaching the others how to do this work. I called them, I was in their "clinic" 4 separate times - they visually say this wound. Their response was non- emergent. I am now day 3 in hospital. Day 3 of continuous antibiotics- due to this unsafe - in surgery practices. Lift and 100 cc does not look like this and now with the fluid gone they are sagging and implants infected. They will be removed in a few hours and I will have to start again with my desired lift in a year after reconstruction and recovery. Again no apology's, no email, no calls. I called the clinic Friday. She asked me to return I told her it was a VERY UNSAFE PLACE at least for me. No I will never return, no more referrals, no more positive energy. Warmly, Anna Stevens
