I prefer Einsteins to the other bagel places in town. Their bagels are softer and more delicious. Today, I had the mushroom, spinach, and Swiss breakfast bagel. While, usually, this bagel is almost perfect, today the spinach and mushroom were lukewarm. I was disappointed. The vanilla hazelnut coffee was great though. The restaurant was busy from 9-11:30, when my friend and I left...I think that indicates they're doing something right. I just hope my bagel is better next time. read more

I have HAD IT with this place! EVERY time that I have visited, they are out of a particular type of bagel and the staff there is...well, distracted to say the least. During my last visit (probably the last ever) the tables were dirty, several customers were waiting in line (and no body was attending to them. One got disgusted and left), and there were flies everywhere (including in the case and on the food). BUT, I was hungry and had my heart set on a bagel with lox. Not only did I NOT get it how I ordered it, but the portions were so inadequate and paltry that I almost sent it back. If you're going to pay $9 for a bagel, then make it worth it! This restaurant has gotten worse since the last time I was there. My wife and I went their around 8:30 am. We found the restaurant dirty. Crumbs and trash like straw wrappers all over the carpet. The men's restroom was dirty. Plus the lock is still broken to the men's restroom. The tables were dirty and the excuse by a male employee was they had an $400 order early that morning. Okay I get that you were busy but that is no excuse to have an empty coffee pot. We ordered on door dash, got two iced teas when I ordered to iced caramel macchiatos and got one sandwich when we ordered two. We tried to call four times and no one answered. We had to drive down there ourselves and when we pulled up we tried to explain and they cut us off told us to come to the window and then proceeded to not open the window or ask what was happening or greet us at least they were just standing around hanging out and when they FINALLY opened the window to talk to us we explained what happened (partly cause we were cut off once again) he brought us the drinks we ordered and then said "the rest of the order was right though, right?" And we said "wrong! We need another sandwich" and they would have known that if they would have stopped cutting us off when we spoke. We were the only ones in the drive through line and no one was in line inside either. Then while making the sandwich they were all staring talking and LAUGHING at us. We didn't get an apology or any compensation for having to drive there after we DOORDASHED FOR A REASON AND PAID EXTRA FOR IT TO BE DOORDASHED FOR WHAT?! I wasted my gas and clearly my money on this place. The owners or managers or whoever need to take a step back and raise the standards for employees and the way the place is ran. This place has a 3.7 star rating with 357 reviews for a reason. The customer service and professionalism is some of the worst I've experienced, I recommend a reevaluation of this establishment and maybe the ratings would go up. I am usually a very understanding person and I don't usually leave bad reviews and this might seem harsh but we were not rude to them at all even after THEY got OUR order wrong and they were terrible towards us. There is no excuse for the behavior or the employees and also they weren't wearing name tags so we don't even know who to complain about. We Loved this place until a couple of months ago when they got new management. This place is a mess now. Two of the managers moved to another city, and the new management is horrible. She has no idea what she's doing, and apparently chasing all of the good help away. The food isn't as good and the help is slowing starting to go downhill. The owners might want to get this in check before it's too late. We've spoken to a half dozen of the other customers who said they feel uncomfortable there now and don't go as often. The person that took my order had a sweater on that covered her hands and was sick. She was wiping her nose with her hand covered in her sweater sleeve. I thought she'd be only taking orders because she's sick and it keeps her off the food line. I go to the next register to pay for and pick up my order. I see the same girl finishing up my order and her sleeves rubbing the inside of the to go box that my bagels are now touching. When I said something to the lady ringing me up she looks at me and said "so what do you want me to do? Remake your order"? I nicely said "yes please"! Einstien's bagels are delicious, but anyone who knows real bagels knows their products are not real bagels. They are more like dinner rolls. They contain a lot of air and cave easily when you bite them, in part because they are fresh but in bigger part because they are not the honest, sturdy, dense, real bagels that we know are real bagels. That said, the service here is okay, the food is tasty but they are certainly not the expensive-range restaurant someone ranked them. Einstein's tends to be out of the bagels we want a lot of the time (onion, pumpernickel). They also run out of chocolate chip cookies a lot. Their nova lox sandwich was pretty skimpy, with the bagel thinly and only partly covered with cream cheese and a fairly small serving of lox. Ugh! Where do I start? I have been going to EB for years in different cities. I have never had the issues that I have had with this one. A couple of months I went in and the place was just infested with flies, everywhere. It was pretty disgusting. I did get in contact with their corporate, who addressed my concerns and said they were fixing that issue. Okay, great! Went in again, the service was so slow, it wasn't even crowded, but it took several minutes for them to even acknowledge the three people in line. The lady in front of me gave up and left, as I did shorty after. Again, contacted their corporate but did not receive an answer. I tried going over there today, through the drive through this time. Big surprise, they were out of 6 cheese bagels, which is the only reason I go there, but more than half the time they are out of them.
