I only visited because I got a coupon for a free egg sandwich and was pleased when I arrived 10 minutes before they closed (even though the website said it was open for another two hours) and they were still able to make eggs. The guys were very nice and personable. I ordered a small hot chocolate - good flavors, but not exceptional. Also got a bacon, egg, and cheese on honey wheat bagel. I was disappointed as there was little to no flavor. Look I understand I went there at 230 in the afternoon but if they're going to serve bagels this bad they might as well close at 11 in the morning. Probably 1/3 of the selection of flavors were out. The bagel was VERY soft like a roll, made the toppings on it very hard to maintain while eating. There was a tiny teardrop of cream cheese on my bagel. My daughter and I are always in the Louisville area and we stop in to this Einstein Bagels and we have never had problems but this week was a different story. 1. The a/c was not working and it was a 90 degree day.. 2. Our food was wrong I asked for no bacon and yet it was on my sandwich my daughter ordered a cheese bagel pizza and they gave her pepperoni. 3. Everything was burnt. 4. There was a lot of customer complaints. The only thing that was still good was the girl who took my order she was very nice and on my receipt my order was correct. For a bagel place, you cant believe how long it will take to process your order. They simply have no clue how to handle a queue, especially when theres a rush. They have a drive thru AND a phone in service, which reduces the effectiveness of the staff. I waited 15 minutes on the store for a toasted bagel. ONE bagel. My husband and I love Einstein Bros, but the woman working the register with a septum piercing was the rudest employee I have ever met in any circumstances. My husband ordered bagel dogs, but they were out. She just shrugged and said "Nope." Another employee had to explain that they were out of them. My husband ordered a fried chicken breakfast sandwich, and I know she heard him correctly because e it comes in a hashbrown bagel, which they were also out of , which she rudely told us. The restaurant was dirty, which we overlooked, the menu was impossible to read, they didn't have many of the menu items, the staff was rude, but we over looked all of that. When we got the order my husband received the chicken lunch sandwich and not the breakfast sandwich he had ordered. Due to dietary restrictions, My husband could NEVER eat that sandwich, so he definitely didn't order it. He politely returned the sandwich and asked for the correct sandwich. He went to the same woman with the septum piercing who originally took his order, it instead of being apologetic for her mistake, she literally threw the sandwich so aggressively it was frightening. She barked at my husband that if that was what he wanted he should have preserved that. He was polite and restrained himself, but when she continued to complain that he had the mistake, my husband and I walked out. I would rather waste the money on foods we will never eat than have either of us loose our cool over such a rude, hostile server. We will never eat at Einstein Bros again. read more

Yikes. I love Einstein's so I've been hesitant about actually doing a negative review. This location, however, is the worst! I always order a bagel, toasted with butter. It's a two-point to-do for them to fulfill this order: (1) toast the bagel (2) butter the bagel. I understand this is unskilled entry level work that probably pays minimum wage, but when you can't get people to consistently produce a simple order, it's a management problem. 60% of the time, my order is NOT toasted. 10% of the time they use cream cheese instead of butter. A couple months ago they just threw a bagel in a bag. Not toasted. Not buttered. And only cut half way through. It's started to become a joke. I check at the window when I'm able, but that usually means I have to dig through a mountain of crumpled napkins they like to shove into the top of the bag. We all laugh about Einstein's in Lafayette and try to guess what they got wrong this time. Once, I tried to politely hand my bagels back while at the drive thru to ask for butter, but from the way the staff chatter exploded, let's just say I didn't bother eating that bagel that day. Someone should tell them that sound can travel through open drive thru windows. I also called them a couple times to let them know they got it wrong, not to complain, but to make sure they know. I hate it when people complain on Yelp! But never gave the business a chance to make it right. The person answering the phone is usually put out, but not rude. Last time I called, she put me on hold and then laughed about it with her co-workers. I guess she forgot to hit the "hold" button. Incompetence runs deep with this crew. If you're going to use this location, do so with a sense of humor and no expectations. It's probably also a good idea to travel with butter and your own toaster. ;) read more

There's literally always an issue when we come here. Sometimes they are out of coffee, sometimes out of common bagel flavors, but at least we can always count on terrible, rude service! I've never experienced a more unenthusiastic staff. It's literally insane that corporate Einstein headquarters is a short drive from this location and yet does nothing to improve the customer experience. I know other customers are appalled by the service at this location as well both by the other Yelp reviews as well as the gentleman behind me in line this morning who had to restrain himself from yelling at the "manager" when he was told by the cashier that if he left his phone number the manager would call him back to deal with an issue... the manager was literally two feet away and would not even turn to face the customer to address him!! I was really excited to go here because I love bagels but it wasn't as clean as I was expecting. The employees weren't very friendly and neither were the other customers. They forgot to make my smoothie and when I reminded the order taker (the only person who would pay attention to my husband or I) she showed the receipt to the manager who said "who is this for? Her?" And then pointed at me. He did not apologize, he just make the drink and yelled out my name when it was done. He also took my receipt and never gave it back. The only reason I continue to visit this place is because it's right next to work. But 2/3 times I order any type of food here, it is made wrong and/or poorly. Espresso machines are either down or out of caramel or chocolate. The customer service is terrible and half of the staff is completely rude. I almost feel as though it's a burden to order anything. I can stand there waiting to be helped for 4 minutes without a single employee acknowledge that I'm in the building. This place either needs new management, all new staff members, or a huge reality check to fix their attitudes towards the public. read more

I'm killing time here at the store and am observing as I write. Service is friendly enough. Brandon, the asst. manager is delivering food, cleaning tables, and checking in with people. But, the rest of the staff moves with no sense of urgency. 6 people chit-chatting behind the counter but only one seems to be working. A person at the table next to complained about the meager amount of shmear on her bagel and got some more. The employee blamed it on portion control, but my bagel had the right amount. Zero stars if I could. I just stopped my for my weekend treat, a toasted PB&J bagel. I had a few more others too. First impression wasn't too good, the store was dirty. Crumbs on the carpet everywhere (looked like it hadn't been vacuumed for days) , and not one single table was clean, I had to get my order Togo and eat in my car. Girl that took my order was just okay. A young man with blue or green hair made my order and started handing them to me in separate jackets, one by one. I asked him to keep the sandwiches in their jackets and put them all in one bag, i would rather have them all in one bag (which I assumed was the norm) than carry them all in different jackets, no bag. He muttered under his breath and proceeded to hand me the bag, almost like he was tossing them at me, and turned his nose away. First time at this location and probably the last. Other locations in the Westminster area are cleaner and have better customer service. read more

The drive thru: I go to this Einsteins because my kids like getting bagels quickly. Unfortunately it never fails that our order is not quite right. Today the bagels were prepared incorrectly and there was scant amount of cream cheese on them. The pickle was smooshed and the size of a french fry. The order takers seemed irritated with me asking them to repeat the order, but from experience I have learned to do this at this establishment. I really hope another bagel shop opens in the area so I don't have to deal with them. read more
