A quick stop and go kinda bagel store. I go here mainly for the freshly squeezed orange juice. My family enjoys the freshly baked bagels with a variety of cream cheese and eggs on them! Service is pretty good unless it's crowded. Owner is always on site to vouch for quality and service. You could also sit and eat, there's a bunch of tables and chairs. Parking is in the plaza. But no drive through or pick up window outside. You have to walk into the store and place orders. read more

Management at this store is very rude and not customer friendly. My friend had ordered a begal sandwich with 2 eggs, we got home and there was none. We drove back to the store and told them, they made another sandwich which had half an egg on it. We said something and the Indian gentleman who said he was the manager told us that we are being too fussy and scolded us. I know there is an egg shortage but if you are going to offer a product and take payment for it then you should deliver. I won't go back to this store. I felt like I was dealing with the "Soup Nazi" from Seinfeld. I went to the store on Independence Patkway in Plano and they were so much better. I suggest everyone find a different location. It adds 2 mins to the drive time to go there but they are so much friendly. For example they even asked for my phone number so I could get my rewards. This store told me that was not possible and told me I had to take the number on my receipt and figure out on my own how to add to my account on the web. I would give zero stars if I could. My boyfriend and I go to Einstein Bros. at least twice a week, and almost every time he asks for light cream cheese, they ignore it and pile on an extreme amount. He usually ends up scraping it off himself. This time, he didn't even bother asking since they never get it right. While he was scraping it off in-store, the manager came over and, instead of handling the situation professionally, grabbed the bagel out of his hands and accused him of "wasting cream cheese." It didn't stop there, the manager then refused to serve him, followed him outside, and told him he wasn't welcome back. Completely unprofessional, unacceptable behavior. Employees should never put their hands on a customer's food or escalate things by chasing them outside. We are regular customers, but after this experience, we won't be returning. Whether I drink my coffee and have my bagel in their location, or take them home, unsliced, I feel like there is always a consistency with the service, the attitudes, and the bagels. Don't get me wrong, I do realize there are enthusiast that would knock that these bagels are not as good as East Coast bagels, I've had them and agree. That being said, I'm in North, Texas, and these bagels represent. The place is also always clean, and that makes a big difference to me. The lion can get pretty long, yet the line moves pretty fast. In the grand scheme of things, by location, taste, and Service, this place will continue to be my go to bagel police unless someone from the East Coast were to move around the corner from my house and Henry free bagels. read more

I have been going to this location for many years. as of late, the quality, customer service, and overall cleanliness of the building has gone so far downhill. Today we were greeted with an obviously unhappy worker behind the counter. I have seen her working in the store every time I come, she never has a smile, says hello, or thanks you for coming to the establishment. You are greeted with ungrateful, disrespectful, and an annoyed attitude that makes you not want to come back. The tables, floors, and chairs are always dirty with crumbs, grease, and evaporated water rings from previous customers. It is obvious, this store never gets cleaned. I sat and ate breakfast next to a family of crickets that was also enjoying breakfast under the table next to me. I have never been to an establishment with this many unfriendly employees and utterly disgusting dining area. The older gentleman in the back, I assume is the owner. Is always eating behind the counter, and I have never seen an employee wash their hands. I am surprised I have not been sick from eating at this location. Avoid this location at all costs, they will be closed down soon if management does not make a change. read more

Last week i purchased combo ( 6 bagels, 1 cream cheese ) + 1 butter side + a coffee. at counter they charged $19.5 when i asked, it should be a combo and the total should be around $12.5, the lady who served was telling me, the order was not taken that way. i am buying here for more than a year now. i have no idea what makes difference in the way the order is placed, though a combo is a combo. Honestly I do not understand the negative reviews? We do not come here often, only maybe once every few months, but when we do we have always had a positive experience. The store is well maintained including the restroom. Staff has always been friendly and wearing gloves etc while preparing food. Our orders have always been correct, and we have never had issues of wanting a bagel that was not available because they ran out. Our typical order includes the Turkey Sausage and egg sandwich, egg and cheese sandwich, the vet out sandwich, and just some normal bagels and schmear. I came to pick up my mobile order. I told one of the workers that Im picking up a mobile order he said "wait" and walked away. He then proceeded to do 3 other peoples orders while my food was just sitting on the counter. I waited for another 5 minutes for someone to help me because the guy couldn't just hand me the bag. I can see why these Einstein bagels constantly get bad ratings. So I am a regular here. Last time I was there they got my order wrong. First, in the lox sandwich I asked for the jalapeño salsa spread. They brought it with plain. When I mentioned it was wrong I was (not asked but) told that I could just take it on the side. I said no and got the stink eye. They when they brought it out, I was busy engaged speaking with my daughter and took a bite and realized it was the plain bagel. So I took it back and the same lady - instead of apologizing said - we make what you order. I specifically told her that I come here every week and get the same thing. Then they brought it out with the right bagel and the correct flavored cream cheese ...only to see that they had just taken the salmon that I had bitten into and placed it on the one bun. Look, I get it - businesses are struggling in this economy and a penny saved is a penny earned. But I think this is a bit much. What's worse is my teenage daughter likely won't be coming there. I cannot in good conscious come here anymore. I will be supporting another small business named Bennys Bagels which is actually much closer to my home. As they say - no good deed goes unpunished. To the owners of this location: I wish you no ill will but best of luck in righting the ship. If it happened once then it's happened before. Often people don't give feedback and just stop coming. Einstein Bros is a lot of money ($5ish) to spend on a single bagel. In college it would be a treat to come for breakfast or lunch, since it's way cheaper to buy a pack of bagels at the store to make sandwiches at home. But if you're on the go then it's worth it bc I've had quite a few of their egg sandwiches here and the lox one and they're good. The coffee here is also decent. This time around I got the egg sandwich with sausage and cheese. There's three counters you go to in this place: one for ordering (the guy here didn't have a clear voice so me and my friend who ordered before me both asked him to repeat himself), one for paying, and one for picking up your food. They package their food well, not only do they put it in a paper bag (like Starbucks pastries/breakfast), they also foil wrap your sandwich so there's no grease or drippage. read more

Nova Lox sandwich makes me want to dance, and I love that I can get a decent bagel with lox with just a little trip out of my way on the commute to work. It comes on a bagel of your choice, with cream cheese, capers, lox, red onion, and tomato. You can leave off anything on that list that doesn't sound good, but it's a damn tasty bagel sandwich! They also have a dozen bagels for $6 on Mondays, just in case you're looking to be the office favorite for the week. This location faces Custer Rd near the intersection of Custer/121 in the same parking lot as Target. The traffic in the morning is pretty gnarly, but it doesn't take forever to get back to 121, and that leaves you some time at the lights to snack! They are pretty quick at this location as long as there isn't a huge line. If there IS a huge line, you may want to second guess your wait. They'll take a few orders and then stop taking orders to fill those, then come back to the register. Anyway, the food is always quality and tasty, and if you've got the time it's well worth a trip. read more

Bagels are about the same that you'll get at any Einstein ' s location. This store suffers from two factors that make it more difficult than I would like to return. The lack of a drive through window means that getting bagels here is inconvenient. The second is that once I make it in the store, the owner - manager often quibbles over coupons. He is always reluctant to take them, even the ones I get from the corporate program. One time i had to break it down that a single dry bagel indeed qualified as "any purchase" for my free coffee. Today he refused to apply my 2/29 $1 off coupon toward two tubs cream cheese because its $6 bagel monday.I should have declined the $6 for cream cheese and used what was already in the work fridge. Isn't the reason to buy a franchise the recognizably for customers and the coordinated ad campaignings?!? I'm thinking about going low-carb. read more

He slides out of the way at this point as the owner/manager comes to the register. So the manager says, You want ham? No, my name is HAM he's got the order right as it is on the screen. The young guy says the same, no thats his name for the order. And I say, that's all THIS TIME. So, THIS TIME should be indication that I'm a regular. Especially, since I've gone thru this Abbott & Costello routine with you the manager directly 2x before. Anyway, I get home 15 minutes later ready to enjoy anddddddd... Why does my 2nd sandwich (the one I was saving the best for last) have ham on it? I dont eat pork and the receipt clearly stated Turkey Sausage on both. I go back but the line is long with 9 people so I explain for refund. He rang up both sandwiches for refund. I said, no no no, just the one sandwich is what I'm about and show him the sandwich and the receipt. Young guy rings up one sandwich and hands me back my cash. I said SO THAT'S IT, NOTHING TO MAKE UP FOR THIS AND TO ENCOURAGE A FUTURE POSITIVE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE? Well, I cant make that call. Ok then, go ask the owner/manager.
