My first experiences here (several years ago), were mediocre at best. But lately, I've had reason to be in the area and grab a quick lunch here, and things have improved. The employees have been far more cheerful and friendly. I cannot say that the drive through is speedy, but it's okay. These are not New York style bagels at all, but they are fresh and tasty anyway. I honestly found Einstein Bagels to be a mix of both good and not so good food. My friend brought me a apple cinnamon bagel thinking that I would like it because I enjoy apple pie so much. The bagel had far too much of their smear on it, something that was easily fixed by simply removing some. And I really liked to apple pie type filling on top. What I didn't like was the fact I could taste both garlic and onion in my bagel. I found pieces of onion from a everything bagel stuck to the bottom of my bagel. Whether that was because the bagel was next to that type of bagel in the case or because some stuck it in the same bag as my friends everything bagel I don't know. It made my bagel very unappetizing. On the other hand, when my son ate his chocolate chip coffee cake two days later, it was still so incredible. If I do go back, the coffee cake would what I would get. But unless I am at that end of town, I doubt I will. It wasn't enjoyable enough for a special trip. read more

No wonder they don't allow google reviews. Horrendous customer service. Drive thru orders are prioritized, if you're in the store and place an order, staff doesn't care about you. Waited 1 HOUR for a bagel on a non crowded day. After approaching the staff since folks before me received their order, I was told 'it's too bad'; I can either get a refund, wait or find another place to eat. I let them have the money and walked away without the food. I don't care how good the food is, I'd never support a business that operates like that. Never again. read more

Won't be back! While standing in line waiting for my bagels, we observed the employees using their mid section areas to move the bagels down the line instead of their hands. Their shirts at belly button level were covered in a mix of different cream cheeses and who knows what else. They were also touching salmon and then making other bagels without glove changes. When I alerted the person who I was supposed to pay, she looked at what I was talking about, observed the same things we had just observed, and then told me "I've never worked that part so I don't know if that's normal" Well I am not the health department but I do know that's a big cross contamination issue. The drive through is always at least a 20 minute wait in the morning..... ugh, I don't have time for that on my way to work. The drive through blocks the parking lot and poses a problem. The pizza was over cooked and had tough texture. They don't have bagel hotdogs available. I'll keep trying. read more

Just tried Einstein Bros Bagels for the first time and definitely will be the last time. The wrapping for my sandwich was covered in sauce and messy. On top of that the blueberry bagel I received in a different bag had avocado all over it. Extremely dissatisfied with the my order. Also I placed my order for pick up, so i wouldn't have to wait via the drive thru. The doors to the buildings are locked and customers are not allowed inside...I ended up having to wait in the drive thru line for 20 mins to receive this messy sandwich and a blueberry bagel with avocado on it! read more

Was in the area one morning and had a serious craving for a bagel so I decided to check Einstein bros out. I wish I hadn't. I ordered the nova lox and bagel. It was nothing special. I was the only one in the drive thru and for some reason it took them almost 30 minutes to make my order. From what I could tell it wasn't busy at all inside either. On top of that the service wasn't good. The person running the drive thru was quite rude. When my bagel was finally ready he very aggressively shoved it in my hands without even looking and just turned around and disappeared. I was very underwhelmed with my food. The bagel tasted stale and the ingredients on top didn't seem fresh either, especially the tomatoes. What definitely didn't make it worth it was how expensive it was. For the price and the quality I got, it definitely did not match up. Very disappointing. There are plenty of other bagel places to go to which are local and actually good. I would not recommend coming here. Truly a waste of money and time. read more

Was still on my antibiotics for pneumonia and was running around doing errands that morning when my medication alarm when off and I was not suppose to take the medication on an empty stomach - seeing Einstein down the street, I parked and walked in. The place is clean. The staff was super friendly (and I believe this was a very early Saturday Morning). I ordered a toast Jalapeno Bagel (no cream tea) with Chia Tea, both where tasty. It's a Bagel shop - not fine dining. As long as the staff are friendly and the place is clean, I'm happy. read more

Here it comes the review we went there for breakfast after we took our sweet dog on a walk. We thought we would try it. Cars were lined up around the block not really but that's what I'm saying., we never been in the place because it had been closed for months, so I ordered it little sandwich breakfast sandwich with it had the egg and cheese on a plain bagel. My wife ordered one with the same thing except it had bacon on it, it come out to our table before I even paid, the egg was like so awful looking and like it come out of us holding area the cheese oh my God process, my wife had the same with bacon, the bacon you could not believe how thin it was, would I ever go back again not really, and that's my story sorry bagel lovers. Love their bagels. My favorite is the Asiago cheese bagel with garden veggie cream or salmon cream cheese. Bagels are large, fresh and chewy. They have a large selection of bagels and toppings. If you have an extra hour on your hands to wait for you food then this is the place for you. Every single time I have been here, wait times are 30 minutes or more for a singular bagel sandwich with no modifications. Let's start with the good: The wait time in the wait time in the drive-thru is generally under 5 minutes, and in the mornings this is a huge win. Also, the bagel selection is pretty good and they are decent bagels. The bad: Over $5 for an anemic looking pumpernickel bagel with egg and cheddar. I'm a tiny person, usually, half a bagel sammich fills me up. Not in this case. I just wolfed down the whole bagel and I could probably eat another half. Other, local, bagel shops are in the same price range but you get way more (portion size AND flavor). When Einstein first opened they had GREAT food and it felt fresh. We stopped by here twice during our stay in Reno - bagels really fuel you for hikes and snow sports! Both times, we ordered a half dozen and schmear for 3 people. First time, we got smoked salmon schmear with: - blueberry - 3 cheddar jalapeño (our favorite!!) - sesame - everything Second time, we got plain cream cheese with: - 4 cheddar jalapeño - 2 cinnamon raisin I generally love having one savory bagel and one sweet one. The blueberry bagel was pretty good on its own. The cheddar jalapeño was key to our return - the bagels are made in-house with 5-6 jalapeños bundled in the center. These bagels don't have holes in the middle but they're so good (even not toasted!!). The smoked salmon schmear was a bit underwhelming. On some days, Einstein's offers curbside pick up when the line gets too long. If you're craving bagels, I'd advise to check their bagels out for a quick and easy breakfast/lunch. read more

Came here late around 1pm bagels were limited which is understandable. Ordered 2 bagels with plain shmear. Got the bagels they looked over toasted. The employees are slightly loud about what they are out of. They are out of tomatoes which being limited on bagels and then the ingredients for a bagel sandwich is ridiculous. Their bagels are okay at max. Only thing here that's really got my attention was their salsa schmear (spicy cream cheese) can't really find anything like it anywhere else. Everything else here is just about as average as you can get. Nothing I can really recommend to be honest their breakfast sandwiches aren't anything to come back for. When they have their flavors in stock, they are delicious. That said, even earlier in the day / morning they are already out of some of my favorites like cranberry.
