I really prefer to support local as much as possible but for a good quick bagel.. this really is the spot. i will say, the removed star is for the different menu changes/removals on their menu over the years.. i feel personally targeted lolol (kidding).. but the quality has stayed constant throughout all this time. i wouldn't say the ambiance was go-to though. when i went in this location was pretty busy & loud. The staff have little idea how to fulfill a simple order. I ordered six bagels, to go, and paid for them (the staff forgot my order, so I waited in line a second time), and two of the bagels were the wrong flavor; they forgot my coffee that I paid for (so I waited in line for a third time). The bagels tasted okay, as expected. Go anywhere else, this location is extremely unprofessional and rude. I ordered some breakfast through the app and was in the drive thru for about 20 minutes. When i got my order my drink was watered down from the melted ice and i didn't receive my sandwich. I called on my way to work asking if there is anyway i could get a refund or something and the rude hormonal boy who answered the phone had no idea what he was doing, actively asking what he should do. He told me the manager would fix it and hung up. I called back again and he said the manager would not be there until 9. I called once again to see if anyone competent would answer but unfortunately the kid with the voice cracks was still answering the phone. Stopped by to pick up some bagels for the weekend and what a pain. The line was around the parking lot, the lobby is closed so you can't just park and go inside. This is very inconvenient especially if you are handicapped. They should have big signs up that say "Drive-Thru only" because people kept parking and walking to the doors only to go back to their cars because they were locked. The line took forever even though there were several employees working inside. The girl taking orders was extremely hard to hear on the speaker and I had to repeat myself several times during the order. My order was correct and the person at the window was friendly, that is the only reason for 3 stars otherwise it would be 1 star. Do not think I will be going back there anytime soon. Especially now that the other bagel shop opened up in Rio Rancho. I would rather go there instead of dealing with this hassle. read more

Sunday, February 27, 2022. I never really eat breakfast anymore. After starting intermittent and longer term fasting, breakfast and sometimes lunch are no longer on my radar. That being said, I made an exception this morning to try Einstein Bros. Bagels breakfast sandwich. I'd seen pictures of their wonderful breakfast sandwiches a few days ago and had been dreaming of trying one. I used to love bagels a long time ago, but honestly can't remember the last time I ate one. This Einstein Bros. Bagel location is the closest to me and it is a forty-minute round trip. Einstein Bros. administration, if you read my review, please consider building an Einstein Bros. in northern Rio Rancho, near Rivers Edge III. When I drove up to this location, the drive through line looked backed up like twenty cars. I went inside and only two people were in the takeout line. All the tables had a sign that said the dining room was closed. I waltzed up to the cashier and ordered a Texas brisket egg sandwich for me and a Classic Breakfast sandwich for my wife. My Brisket sandwich featured a jalapeno bacon gourmet bagel, two eggs, smoked brisket, cheddar cheese and a smoky chipotle aioli. Hers had a six-cheese bagel (mozzarella, provolone, cheddar, asiago, parmesan, and Romano), turkey sausage, an egg, and cheddar cheese. For these two breakfast sandwiches I paid a total of $16.35, $8.49 for mine and $6.63 for hers. By the way, the staff were super friendly and very busy. It looked like they had about twenty employees working, and they all looked happy. As I waited, I enjoyed the art on the walls, please see attached photos. Alas, by the time I got back home with the sandwiches they were cold, so we had to nuke them. My wife, who doesn't like bagels gave her sandwich an 8/10, and told me she would have given a 10/10 if she could have eaten it fresh. I concurred, mine was an epic breakfast sandwich. Much better than McDonalds or its ilk could offer. I just wish we had an Einstein's closer to our house! read more

On the weekends they have a deal where 6 bagels and a smear is $7. We called and told them that's what we wanted. We told them repeatedly. There is NO WAY they didn't get that we wanted that $7 deal for Saturdays. THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED. I got there to pick up our order. There weren't any other customers there. No line, nothing. No distractions. No pressure. And yet they disregarded our explicit order and instructions and required the normal amount for weekday payment on 6 bagels. A few things to know before you go to the store on Wellspring. First, don't go after 1 pm. They close at 2 and anyone coming gets dregs - they don't have fresh bagels, even on Monday Club Dozen day. Nope, you get the leavings, and you'd better be quick about it. Second, don't ask for em to be sliced, unless you want the perennially grumpy and forgetful gal in the drive-through window to curse you under her breath. I'm not going to send my food back to someone who might do harm to it - and she sure doesn't ask, do you want those sliced? More often than not if they do get sliced, they get caught in the machine (because who has time to do this job decently? Not them) and you get a shaving and a whole bagel on a number of them, or they are cut sideways somehow. Last, avoid the drive-through. This gal has been working the window at the Wellspring location for years. Her surly attitude has a new veneer of barest courtesy but even if you ask for the "Monday Club Dozen" - which requires a membership - she will forget and charge you the full amount. Your asking her to go back and put in your code pisses her off. Maybe at herself, who knows. It translates to the customer. I do avoid this store at all costs and go inside to order when possible. Every other staff member is courteous and thorough at Wellspring; some even apologize for the drive-through gal. read more

I normally love Einstein Bagels! My favorite combo is a jalapeno bagel toasted with jalapeno schmear! Alas, I didn't order that here, at this location, on this visit! I ordered two breakfast sandwiches, one with bacon and the other with ham and swiss. I went ahead and got a coffee for myself so I could have something to sip, while I waited for the food. I got my cup and filled it up to stand and wait for my food. (The dining room is closed and all the tables and chairs are removed.) I took and sip and the coffee was not even hot, luke-warm at best. Blast! Coffee should always be hot! Not scalding, but hot, please! The sammies followed suite in disappointment level. The smallest most insignificant slices of bacon and and the thinnest eggs I've seen in an einstein breakfast bagel sandwich! I usually love their breakfast sammies but this location is not doing them justice. The ham and swiss was the same. Quite embarrassing for me because I just finished telling my boyfriend how great their breakfast sandwiches are. I will be back, just probably not this location. I have been coming here for a couple years now , despite this specific location , any einstein I've ever been to has always cut my bagel in half just as standard practice. Last week I came here and when I left my bagel wasn't cut in half but no big deal, that has happened to me once in the past a while back because they were super busy . Today I ordered my usual sandwich and at the window I kindly asked the lady if she could make sure my sandwich was cut in half because I was sharing it with my toddler and she said no because it would be considered cross-contamination and I would have to had asked when I ordered . I said " aren't they usually always cut in half " and she said no. I asked if that was something new she again said no ? Definitely won't be back. I am really disappointed. I've always thought it was a stretch to call their round bread a bagel since it never even saw boiling water. I've been willing to forgive that transgression since their mochas were decent and made with real chocolate. Apparently "were" is the operative word. They now switched to syrup. So mediocre bagels and mediocre coffee at a high price. For a franchise and on Thanksgiving Day, what a wonderful experience. The cashier was genuinely kind, courteous and welcoming. She sparkled with good will and happiness. Very delicious tuna sandwich! Mmmm! I ordered the pretzel bagel, pretty yummy although I may not order that bagel next time as chewing it was more than I was prepared for. They were out of potato salad and fruit cups so I opted for potato chips but only two varieties were available, sea salt vinegaar and bbq. Ehhh still ok I guess. I go to Einstein's frequently because I love they are bagels because they're soft and squishy. It's easier to eat eggs on their bagels when they're soft as opposed to when the bagels are harder. My issue with this location is that sometimes the people that prepare the food behind the counter aren't very pleasant. We had one girl nearly throw food at us I guess because she was annoyed she had to bring it to us. I typically say something to people who act this way but I felt it wasn't worth it at the time. I do wish they would get paid more attention to the orders as they are on a screen and all they have to do is read them we have gotten our order incorrect quite a few times. read more

More than half of the time, the order is incorrect, or they put down the wrong name causing confusion when trying to deliver the order.
