Normally I don't leave reviews for chain places, but I was so over and beyond thrilled with the customer service and the quality of the food, and I am a tiny bit enraged that they don't have a higher star meter. The staff was so helpful and it gave our family such a fun time when we were going on a hike for my birthday. We get the bagel and lox, the blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese, and a muffin for my daughter. They have homemade orange juice and good coffee. I've been coming to this location for years, and the same husband and wife couple has been running it all this time. The bagels are consistently good, and the quality of their lox is a thumbs up from me. Their everything bagels have all the goods on top, no shortage of seasonings! They also have a big menu of bagel sandwiches. The sausage breakfast sandwich is that greasy savory breakfast perfect for a hangover. Service is great, bagels come up quick and their coffee is pretty straightforward- nothing fancy. I often like just a simple hazelnut coffee and Manhattan delivers. He received his order within 10 min(because we were not there any longer than that and he got his order before we did) and was ridiculously rude to the people working there. Super condescending and a big ol bully! He was not there for even over 10 min, yet he threatened the owners with a poor review because it took 20 min. I ordered two of them and additional bagel that was different. I can't believe they are charging $11 for this bagel and skimping on the ingredients. I mean totally disrespectful. I wish I would have opened it in the store I would have immediately ask for a refund if they couldn't make it right. The bagels are not good. Let's start there. Nothing like a real NY bagel, and no where as good as an L.A. bagel, like Western. Not even as good as Noahs. Next there is the service. The service at this location is grumpy. Plus, maybe I had a language barrier thing with the owner. We don't need to single her nationality out, where she is from should not be a problem, however the woman does not know her own products or understand English. I think it's the former...I was looking at their Veggy sandwich....it said it had an avocado schmear or something like that. I wanted to confirm if the "schmear" was traditional cream cheese or if it was just an avocado spread, because I did not want cream cheese. She said it was Avocado spread. Then I see the guy put cream cheese on it and ask about it. He was really unhappy with it. I asked the owner about what she just told me, and how they just put cream cheese on my bagel, and she said, it's ok, he will just change it. Yeah, but he's already mad at me and it wasn't my fault. Came here to order a egg and cheese sandwich and the menu says $5.19 but they charged $6.19 when I told the cashier (a girl with bright red hair not sure what her name was) it was cheaper on the menu she continued to argue, first saying that was the tax and then said they changed their prices. I got the $11 Lox and Cream Cheese on an Onion Bagel. GOOD, however, when I asked for a cup of hot water (improves digestion) I was told I had to give them $1.79 for the hot water. Was it from the hot springs in Yosemite Park? The staff is wonderful, but the management makes you feel like they're doing you a favor by even talking to you. There is enough hostility in the world without having to feel palpable animosity when ordering a bagel. And they have NO lemons to squirt on the lox. read more

Steve and Tina, the Korean couple ran this place for 25 years and just recently retired. They were absolutely wonderful and ran an efficient bagel place. They recently retired and Peter is the new owner. I went in twice since Peter took over and my husband went in once as well. Their CC machine would not take our Amex card. They said they were having problems with it. We come here 4 times at least a week. But probably won't be coming back. One time when they were having the trouble with their CC machine, I was trying to buy breakfast for my daughter. How is it the customer's problem that their CC wouldn't take my Amex? And today on April 1, I went in to get my daughter her breakfast and again, they were having issues with their CC. The girls who work there are so rude and one of them said something nasty about me in Spanish to the other female worker. She obviously didn't know I am also fluent in Spanish. The only nice employee is the guy who has been there forever. He is always so courteous and so kind and makes the best breakfasts. I wish the old owners were back. So happy to finally have an Einstein Bros in the valley area. I went here to redeem a free app reward, but their systems aren't set up yet just as a heads up for anyone looking to redeem the rewards. They've only been open for a month, and the super sweet Asian cashier was willing to accommodate the reward anyways, but I didn't want to cause any negative impact on their stock or business since they just opened and told him I'd come back at another time to use it. Decided to finally try this place this morning on the way into work. I've been working across the street over at CBS Studios for about 10 years now. I called in my order & I order a cheesy hash brown bagel & a French toast bagel with everything that usually comes on it. I get there to pay and I notice just two bagels in the bag with nothing on them. By that time I knew my order was messed up and I did not have the time to wait any longer so I didn't bring it up, but I did ask for cream cheese. The older Oriental Gentlemen working goes on to berate me constantly repeating "YOU SAID NOTHING ON IT!". I didn't even bring the situation up, I just asked for cream cheese.
