But what you WILL find are bagels, tons of bagel choices. Gourmet Bagels. Signature Bagels. Classic Bagels. Twenty-five different bagels. Actually, twenty-six if you count there beef-flavored Doggie Bagel (not for human consumption). We skipped the bagel/egg and bagel/deli sandwiches and went with two bagels and cream cheese. I went with a toasted Green Chile Gourmet Bagel with a schmear of Jalapeno Salsa Reduced Fat Creme Cheese. It was delicious, with a melted blanket of green chilies and cheese on top and a spicy spread of savory cream cheese in the middle. My wife ordered an Everything Bagel with Garden Vegetable Cream Cheese and she enjoyed it a lot. We didn't let the lack of in-house seating deter us, ordered our $9 lunch, and enjoyed it in our vehicle. read more

Abiance was pretty terrible seeing as there was no actual seating. They were clearly very understaffed so it took a few minutes of waiting to get to the front of the line then stood at the front for 5 minutes before my order being taken which mind you they somehow messed up. If I don't specify what flavor cream cheese just assume plain rather than obsessing over it and forgetting 2/3s of my bagel. Asiago bagel, creme cheese lettuce and tomato. That is what I said. I received a toasted Asiago with creme cheese. Did I say toasted? Did I say blueberry crème cheese? No so put plain on and don't toast is if I didn't specify. How difficult is it truly ? I hadn't been to Einstein's in about a year as I moved away. I was very disappointed to find that I would have to eat my bagel in my car. All of the tables were gone. My bagel sandwich was good, but the coffee was cold. I told the server at the register my coffee was cold and he told me that they just finished making a new pot. He turned around, walked away, and did not offer me a new cup. How I was supposed to put fresh, hot coffee in my cup is beyond me! It's Monday so I thought I'd drop into Einstein's and see if they still had their Monday half price bagel special. I didn't realize the store was under new management. The manager did not greet me and was nasty to me from the moment I walked in. She also did not understand what I was saying and just said "yes, do you have the app?" After I said I did, she asked what I wanted and proceeded to put bagels in a bag without slicing. She seemed annoyed I asked to have them sliced. At the checkout she asked again for the app and then told me I didn't have enough points for free bagels. I repeated several times that I wasn't looking to use my points. The woman then got nasty with me and charged me full price. I only regret I didn't walk away and leave the bagels. I was shocked. I've never been treated that way in any business. After being an every-Sunday customer for over 20 years, I won't be going back. read more

The local muffin house ran out of cream cheese (how do you do that you only sell bagels,muffins,and drinks) so I decided to go here and it was great. Fast service and friendly service and a reasonable price, tasted great also they weren't cheap with the cream cheese and the overall experience inside was great with a lot of chairs. This is one of the dirtier restaurants I can remember. The coffee area has old coffee on the drains and counter. The holder for the sugar and creamer is dirty with old sugar on the bottom of it. The tables are really dirty. There are boxes of utensils, coffee sweeteners and cups right in the dining room. Even the cash register had some gunk on it, and I didn't want to put my hands on the card swipe. I've never seen a franchise look like this. They must not have a manager or someone is really cheap and won't hire a cleaner. I imagine the kitchen is something we wouldn't want to see as consumers. The food was still fine. This used to be the best bagel place in town and every Saturday morning I would drive clear across town to get bagels and coffee for my wife and family. Einstein's used to be a Wayland gathering place where friends would meet for breakfast and families would eat bagels before sporting events. Not now, apparently new management (we liked the former people running the store) has decided that a barren floor sitting there with no purpose, is better for its patrons. Their anti-friendly atmosphere goes quite well with the stoic impersonal robotic people behind the counter. And you can tell that the bean-counters have made their mark as well. Brooklyn Water Bagels has ruined all other bagels for me. It's not that Einsteins is a bad bagel, it's just not as good as I know a bagel can be! Went to this location In the late afternoon and the place was completely empty including the bagel inventory. Boo! Seriously, there were maybe 6 bagels left in the whole store. The staff was vey friendly and pleasant and the store was nice and clean. Parking lot is shared with other businesses so limited spots available. Be careful of the spots closest to building, there is a dip in the ground and you'll scrape your fender. read more

This place is so close to my house. I must drive by this place 10 times a day. So when a coupon arrived in my mailbox for a deal on 1/2 dozen bagels, I started thinking- why don't I come here? Why do I drive all the way to Wellesley to go to Brueggers. So I tried the place. And not sure I will be back. 1). Parking. It's not just that the parking is limited. But something about that parking lot - people drive like idiots. And people stand in the middle of the parking lot having conversations, blocking traffic. 2). The lines are slow. 5 people in line in front of me. 5 people behind the counter, but still takes 10 minutes to get some bagels. 3). No inventory. On a Saturday morning, they were out of so many bagels. Unless you want blueberry or cinnamon raisin bagels, you're kinda out of luck. 4). Then the product itself. Light and fluffy. The bagels are like wonder bread. Full of air. So is the cream cheese. The cream cheese had the consistency of mousse. It was like eating air on air. 5). The bagels come in a paper bag. So when you get home you need to find something else to put them in. Lest your air gets stale. read more

I have not been to this location before but my wife sent me out for a dozen bagels. I was there right when they opened at 6:30am. They had every bagel available on a Sunday too right as they opened. It was $18 for a dozen and 2 tubs of cream cheese which I thought was a good price. The man who opened the door for me I think was the manager who was very nice. We will be back. read more

The bagels and sandwiches are pretty good, but the place is run poorly. The second time my mobile order has "not been received". The first time, the manager was apologetic but the second time it happened staff was defensive and questioned us even after being presented with proof of order and payment. Not the customer's fault if your mobile app doesn't work well. Own it and make it right and fix it with corporate. Especially when you don't even offer in-store dining anymore which is silly at this point. read more

I can't believe I have to write this. I've been going to this Einstein's location for at least a dozen years. Even during the height of the pandemic they did a good job. Sadly the Wayland Einsteins hasn't just jumped the shark, the shark grabbed it in mid air, chomped it in half and dragged its mangled carcass to the briney depths. Under the old ownership they produced good, tasty bagels that were light and fluffy. Sadly the bagels you can get in the frozen section at Stop & Shop are better now. Back in the day you would order at the counter, and watch as your order was made. You got to know the staff, and they got to know you. Now you're just a number. The new system requires you order with someone and they put the order in the computer and you wait. And wait. And wait. During a recent visit the crew behind the counter spent more time figuring out the computer ordering system than they did making orders. After spending 35 minutes in line I left. Sadly the crew had no idea what to do, other than one lovely woman from the old days who ran the register, made coffee, and ran circles around the newbies. There are two or three hold overs from the old days, who care about their customers and doing a good job. I feel very sorry for them. Sadly I think today will be my last visit to this location. The quality, service, and customer centric focus is long gone. I might have to drive farther to go elsewhere, but I'm done waisting my hard-earned money. read more

This Einstein is very dirty and lacks customer service. When I walked in, no one greeted you or even acknowledge you. Their set up is very confusing to place an order. There are no sign or line showing where to place it. I went to the register and I placed my order, two people were there (one the manager) and they both told me to go to the other counter to place my order but then the man told me to come back and pay. They were both very confusing. I then asked then why did they have me walk to the other counter to place an order when they already took my order. They both were very clueless and didn't even apologize. Then the person that was doing my bagel showed me the bagel (the bagel was toasted black, smoking and smelling burnt) and asked me I wanted it toasted dark. I told her I wanted it toasted but not burnt and I even said don't you see that it's burnt. I guess she must have had a stuffy nose not to smell it or maybe the smoke on it maybe hazed her eyesight. Then she (with a very sour face) tried again but this time it was not even toasted. Then, the manager (with a sour face) redid the same bagel but this time it came out over toasted (at least it wasn't burnt). Then, I said I'll just take it but he insisted on doing another one but I just said let it be but he just redid it because he wanted to make me happy. This time it was very lightly toasted and I just told him to just forget it that I wanted to leave. All in all this place is one the worst Einstein I have been to and the employees don't listen to you and ignore you. 2 stars for my breakfast yelp so heres the dealio. 2 stars goes solely to the black russian, you ever have one? basically its pumpernickel with sesame seeds, pretty tasty imo, if you like that sort of thing. so whats with he rest of the place? location, i guess is fine, its right on 27 and 30 on the way to lameingham, so if i want it, i go, if not i can keep driving. its way expensive for a bagel and schmeer, maybe 3 bucks or so, thats pricey in my book chiefy. its not nyc bagels for sure, hell its not even montreal bagels (whose with me yumm) and how about that lovely staff. staff infection maybe! oy, so slow and lackadaisical. hello, its the morning, you think you can take the phone in the back or get with the program. i think thats the owner/manager, whatever, use your dome and if you see a backup, get moving, customer service should be #1. coffee isnt very good, the buck is right next door, how many stops you gonna make buddy? anywho, as i was saying, if you have nothing to do or nowhere to be, get the black russian and enjoy, if not, pass! read more

I've never been to an Einstein Bros before, even though it's a fairly large chain. I am a big fan of bagels so it's my kind of place. This one is in a plaza with a few other places, but there is plenty of parking. In addition to ordering, they have drink and food items you can just grab and not wait for. It's a clean place, the employees were friendly, and they prepared and brought the food out quickly. As soon as I saw they had a bagel dog on the menu I HAD to get it. It's a hot dog encased entirely in a bagel, kind of like a corn dog, which I also love. I went with the asiago bagel dog, they also offered plain. It also came with a side of chips, potato salad, or fruit salad and I got the potato salad. It was good, not too much mayo. Plus a pickle! I decided to try the blackberry lemonade, which looked pretty, the top of it was normal lemonade color and the bottom faded to a darker purple color. It tasted mostly of sugar, but I wasn't expecting anything different, it was still good and refreshing. The prices were also great for the amount of food you get. My friend got the pizza bagel which also looked delicious. I will definitely be coming back, where else will I come across a bagel dog? read more

I've been getting bagels every week at Einstein's because of a promotion for a baker's dozen they've been running. Their bagels are not the best bagels I've ever had, but are certainly much better than others. It definitely helps that they were half off on Mondays. What finally prompted me to write this review was my most recent experience. I had gone later in the day so they were pretty much out of bagels. The employee asked if I could wait 2 minutes for fresh bagels. Uhhh...definitely yes! I ended up waiting about 10 minutes, but it was so worth the wait! The bagels were still so hot and soft by the time I had gotten home that I couldn't even cut it with a knife. I ended up ripping the bagel apart with my hands and dipping it into cream cheese - a way I had never eaten a bagel before. It was soooo good! Everyone raved about the bagels that day! They were the best bagels we had ever had. I am almost afraid to return to Einstein for fear that the bagels will just be the regular ol' bagels we had always gotten. I wish there was a way to find out when they are made as nothing beats a piping hot, fresh bagel! read more

This place was so cool when they first opened. There was really no place that was close enough to grab lunch when we were in high school and this place opened up. Bagels (and the sandwiches they make WITH the bagels) are delish and their Chicken Caesar salad was scrumpdilliyumpcious.
