It is with a lot of sadness that I write this review with only one star. I have been coming to this restaurant for years and today we were not sure of what to have for dinner so we decided to look at happy hours in Bixby Knolls and saw on the website of EJ's (because it is one of her favorite restaurants) that their happy hour was until 7 PM. When we arrived and asked for the happy hour menu, we were told that it had finished at 6 PM. I informed the waitress that their website state 7 PM, she went to management only to come back and tell us that be happy hour menu hours are posted on the outside of the building and on their menu. Therefore they would not honor it. So for all of you, who are looking for a good happy hour. EJ's has the best wings, but make sure you don't rely on their website to decide where to take your business. What is really sad is that the cost of food is relatively low for a restaurant And they could've honored their pricing instead of making us pay for their mistake of not updating their website. Omg!!! They have stepped up their breakfast game. I stopped going years ago because it was the same old tired food. Not any more. I can't believe all the fabulous breakfast choices. I had the abc omelette (avocado, bacon, cheese, spinach and added onions. Delicious! Has Browns were fabulous. Substituted biscuits and gravy (beyond fab) that didn't last long enough to take a pic. Ejs is my go to spot. If I don't feel like cooking dinner, I go to EJs. I know I will enjoy something tasty. If I just want to hang out, I come to Ejs and grab a beer or drink. The wings are my favorite item in the menu. Lemmon Pepper and Hot are the best flavors IMO. I also love the Cajun fries. As for the beers there are plenty to choose from. I usually get Smithwicks. The employees are super friendly, shout out to Vari who has been the best over the years. We were there recently and the service is always amazing. The chicken wings are worth every penny. My favorite is the Buffalo & Lemmon pepper. $15 for 8 wings. Only bad thing is that you can't mix and match but if you have a friend I would recommended for your friend to get one flavor and you get the other one. They do have happy hour M-Th till 6pm. I've been here many times and never wrote a review (I don't know why!) but yesterdays service pushed me too. Our waiter was awesome (didn't catch his name) super attentive, very friendly and overall really good. I've only eaten dinner here but yesterday we had breakfast 10/10! Highly suggest the mini breakfast sliders. Will be back for more during football season after noticing how many TVs they had! read more

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Dependable pub eats with a comfortable, casual atmosphere. Man it's been a long time since I've been here! Back in the day when I used to work in Bixby Knolls this was definitely one of my favorite spots. Now that my studio is in this neighborhood and I'm spending more time here I thought I'd pay them another visit. Since it was a pleasant day, I decided to sit out on the front sidewalk patio for lunch. They have dark mesh "walls" around that area so it's semi-private, which was nice. I got their vegetarian burger with a side of gorgonzola fries, which I was glad to see was still on their menu! That's really what I came for, and they did not disappoint! Still the same creamy goodness, but the fries could have been a tad crisper. The vegetarian burger had an old-fashioned bean-based veggie patty, which was tasty but didn't knock my socks off. We've eaten here before. Tried again today. It's a bummer cause the food is solid and the vibes are good but the service takes FOREVER! The teammates are nice and friendly but spread too thin. This poor girl was all over the restaurant and we didn't see her for 15 minutes to get our food. The food does take a while too so we just decided to pay for our drinks and leave. Ordered food to go, fish and chips with a pub salad. Anticipated wait time was 20 minutes but was ready sooner. Fish and chips were yummy and the salad was fresh. A western cheese burger was ordered and was also good. Overall I would give this 4.5 stars read more

Came here to catch up with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time. We made the apparently unforgivable mistake of sitting at the bar, talking, and laughing like paying customers who were enjoying themselves. Without any warning or attempt at basic professionalism, the bar manager decided to start yelling at my friend, accusing him of being disrespectful. This was extra confusing considering we were only speaking to each other and not causing any disruption beyond having a conversation. If the establishment prefers silent, joyless patrons who communicate exclusively through eye contact, that should probably be stated upfront. Being shouted at by management for talking to your own friend is certainly... a choice. Plenty of bars manage to serve drinks without scolding their customers. Unfortunately, this one seems to struggle with that concept. Spend your money somewhere that understands what a bar is actually for. His name is Vari.Apparently he does this all the time. My wife and I love this place. The drinks are fantastic. The service is top notch. The atmosphere and layout of the place is perfect. We try to come here once a month. She always gets a michelada and I always get a draft hefeweizen. The beer is the next best thing to the beers at Oktoberfest in Germany. We always order their buffalo wings and their fish & chips. Both of them taste great and the amount of food is above average. The personnel are very friendly and are quick to take care of you. I got the pork belly tacos which was not the best in my opinion. There was a distinct taste to it which I can't pinpoint but didn't enjoy too much. My ratings are still high because the rest of my party enjoyed their food and the service was great. We were immediately greeted and told to pick our choice of seating, it was fairly empty. We sat in the seats at the window in the bar. I ordered an Angry Orchard and Water for Mom. To eat, we had an 8 Piece Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings, very tasty, came with celery & carrot sticks with Ranch dressing to share; Mom ordered the Norwegian Trout Spread and I had the Pub Parmesan Patty Melt. The Wings were hands down the best thing on the table. My Patty Melt was pretty good and Mom enjoyed her Trout. The atmosphere, the Window, all equaled to a good time. I sure have missed this place. My burger last week was amazing. This time it had no flavor and my instructions to have veggies in a separate container were ignored. To make matters worse the driver took the longest route possible and even drove past me. By the time she got here the fries were cold, the burger was cold and the veggies were warm. The bottom bun was so soaked that it fell apart when I picked it up. The lettuce was almost black! Never again, not worth the inconsistent food quality, and DD does not make it any better, but at least the lettuce etc would not have been SO wilted and warm. read more

I used to live a couple blocks from EJ's and would drop by occasionally, definitely on St. Patty's Day and always had good drinks and good burger and fries until I discovered they had other yummy food. I still drive by it often or walk by it and saw they remodeled but hadn't gone in until recently. A couple we hang out with often wanted to have dinner somewhere different and my boyfriend is picky so I was real hesitant and I didn't care to go far so I settled on EJ's and boy was I nor anyone disappointed. Signs that do say keep noise to a minimum and dogs are not allowed. Service was good but wasn't sure who was our server as we were assisted by different people and sometimes it felt longer to be assisted by someone or get everything you need in one visit but otherwise overall friendly upbeat service. Food was very delicious and fresh. No complaints. Portions were large enough to share or make leftovers. Every bite of food left a wonderful happy feeling. I'm not typically a fan of sauerkraut but the Irish eggs rolls must have and mix the sauces! Mac n cheese very comforting and the Buffalo sauce gives it a kick. I've been to EJ's in person before and had never gotten around to reviewing but I definitely remembered that I liked the wings. So sitting at my (secondary) home during these covid times and not in the mood to cook, I decided to order dinner. I was really wanting some wings so when EJ's Pub came across the places available on DoorDash Pass I decided to order from here. I also ordered the Black Bean and Poblano Quesadilla. My food arrived super fast, about 30 minutes and I am less than a mile away. Typically, not fast food, takes at least an hour including about 10-12 minutes of delivery time to this location. The food arrived in paper/cardboard containers with the sauces requested. The containers are important because I would prefer not to have plastic or not easily recycled containers piling up my bins. This includes unnecessary utensils that are usually sent. My food was hot and delicious as I couldn't contain myself to take a pic of the wings before I ate half. They were a little crispy for my personal preference, ie wasted overcooked food, but still plenty of meat on the bones. The quesadilla was bomb! There are so many flavors from the peppers that kept me from usual need to dip my food in hot sauce. I will be visiting again in person if allowed and surely ordering again. Yum! read more
