Just had dinner. Still love the wings!! However, I always add a side salad. It used to contain Croutons, cucumbers, chees etc. Now it is just a sad bowl of Salad, a carrot stick and a celery stick. Please charge more and make it a salad or take this option off the menu. All our food was excellent as usual, but this change to the side salad is a fail. read more

My only gripe (yes, I use the word gripe now) is the lack of seating at this place on weekends. Otherwise I think they have pretty good food and drinks! I even had the chicken curry dish (based on a rec by the waiter) and it was surprisingly really good. Surprising bc it's an Irish pub... but hey, they pulled it off! I also tried the ghost pepper and short rib poutine. I liked the flavor but I wouldn't call it spicy (for having ghost pepper in it). Drinks are also pretty good, though a bit pricey. I had a few of the BlueGrass Burro that I liked. I did try the C&D's Bufala Negra and that was no bueno... the balsamic really throws off the flavor profile for me. This spot is no joke ! The Buffalo wings are the one and the two ! Best wings I've had from the crisp to the sauce not to mention the fresh veggies on the side . The chili is on point as well . Came here to watch the Copa America semi-finals. The inside is cool with AC considering it has been so hot. The ambience is very nice, a more "chill" bar with older locals who come to have a drink and watch some sports. The drinks and beers were good. We got the carne asada nachos but they were very bland. I would *maybe* try another item on the food menu, but definitely not the nachos. read more

Stopped by here for lunch with my sister and a friend. I haven't been here in almost a decade (went on a few dates here with a guy I knew from HS just before my move to NYC in 2011, that's how I know it was THAT long ago!). I had so many fond memories and I remember the food and drinks were good because we always stayed for hours. The spot is different than I remember, obviously expanded and redecorated. The food is just as good as I remembered it. The clam chowder is VERY good and the crunch bread (sourdough maybe?) it was served with was even better than the usual oyster crackers that accompanies this soup. The wings were AMAZING. Never had the Carolina BBQ flavor but it's now my favorite. The fries were also good. We got it with bacon option and that was a great decision. Isn't bacon always a great decision? Hahah. The nachos were probably the only thing I didn't really like... and most of it was left untouched on the table. So the only downside was the service. Our waiter was a super nice guy who made really good recommendations (as we were super hungry and indecisive due to being hangry)... he recommended the Carolina BBQ which was a hit at the table. The only issue is that he left in the middle of our meal. Like, he just disappeared. I guess he had to go home or his shift was over, I don't know... we didn't find out until we kept looking around for him for refills. One of the guys behind the bar saw us looking and came to ask us what we needed. When we asked for our waiter, he told us our waiter had left! We were kinda shocked because he seemed so nice and attentive when we ordered. Usually when servers have to leave, they will introduce us to whoever is taking over for them... but our guy just vanished and didn't say bye and didn't even leave us in the capable hands of one of his coworkers. The same dude from behind the bar got us out drink refills and our check when it was time to go. We tipped 10% because Covid was such a b*tch and we didn't want struggling businesses to have a bigger burden... but damn, that was really disappointing. Might still come back one day because that Carolina BBQ sauce was amazing... but I'm less enthused with the idea of coming back due to the service. read more

We have been going to EJs for years. The service has always been a bit slow, but tonight was terrible. We sat at the bar and were basically ignored the whole time. Had to flag a person down for everything, including when our wings took 40 minutes. Then when we went to close out our tab, we had to let them know how many beers we had. Awful. I had the Reuben Sandwich with Grilled Vegetables and my son had a Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries. Everything was fresh, hot, and tasty! The service was excellent and the vibe was very much like a neighborhood pub should be. We will be back! read more

Earlier today a friend stopped by my house with some fried pickles. She was lucky that I already ate lunch so I only had a couple. As the evening progressed I started craving fried pickles. I went into the pub and looked at the menu and it was not on the menu. The waitress told me that it is not listed on the menu so I order led it to go. HONEY.... these deep fried pickles are AMAZING! While I was waiting I was looking at their daily specials and decided that I need to come back. If you are in Bixby Knolls definitely give this pub a visit. I'd give them 3.5 if I could, but 4 is going a bit far. Fine go to if you need a basic pub but the variety in their beer selection is lacking big time. I find the prices high considering the quality. On August 3rd, 2025 I visited the establishment from around 1:30-4:30 and around a 4:10 I witnessed a waitress busting a table when a napkin flew to the ground. The napkin was on the ground for about 5 'minutes when the waitress came back I called her over to ask her to pick up the napkin, for safety reasons. I know people sue for anything so I was trying to protect the establishment. When she picked up the napkin she made a mean and snarky remark "who's going to slip and fall on this." I heard the insulting remark and asked her to come over again, this time she yelled, "I don't know what you want me to do, I have customers to serve." While I was explaining she walked away, I went to talk to the manager on duty, he said he would have a conversation with her. The waitress was a blonde with a tattoo behind her left or right ear. I will never visit this establishment again, due to her poor attitude. read more

This place is just too loud. Went there with family (all adults) and could hardly here one another. Service sucks too! Waited quite a bit for a waiter to take our drink order then another waitress comes asks us for our drink order. Then a couple of drinks arrived but the other four took forever. Waited 20 minutes for someone to come back and take out food order. We all ordered something different and no one was happy with their meals. I ordered the fish sandwich and they chop up whole lemons (peel and all) and add it to the dressing. The sandwich just tasted awful. My husband ordered the Shepherds Pie and only ate a couple of bites. He said it just didn't taste good. Another person in our party said theirs was too salty to eat. I won a $50 gift certificate to this restaurant about a year ago and decided to go before it expired. It's a sports bar that's located in Bixby Knolls, about 40 min away from where we live. We went on a Sunday around 5pm, and it wasn't crowded at all yet. Parking was easy to find right out front. As we walked in, we were promptly greeted and told we could sit anywhere we wanted. We sat at a high booth in the back, and the waiter brought our menus out right away. The service was outstanding! I had read previous reviews indicating that it's hit or miss, but the service we received was spectacular! The bar has a lot of sports TV's all over. It's a medium-sized bar that was apparently recently renovated. It looked great and clean, including the bathrooms. For drinks, I got the "Garage - Marshmallow Milk Stout Nitro" and it was fantastic! Very smooth and it tasted like s'mores. They have a pretty extensive wine, beer and cocktail menu. The beer menu alone consists of 27 drafts! It'd be hard not to find something you like. For food, I got the fish and chips, because after all, we were at an Irish pub! You can get the halibut for $19 or cod for $14. I chose the cod, and the fish was soft and flaky. I didn't care for the batter too much, as I typically like it more crunchy, but it did the trick. The fries were hot and crunchy. My husband it the onion rings and those were even better! You can also get half & half for $1 more. For dessert, I got the Ghirardelli brownie, which they heat up for you upon request, and it came with caramel & chocolate dipping sauces. The brownie was huge and moist! They ran out of ice cream, which I was kinda bummed about, because a scoop of vanilla ice cream would've been the cherry on the cake! While I typically wouldn't come here since it's rather far from where I live, I definitely would frequent it more often if i lived nearby. read more

I recently moved to the Bixby Knolls area after living on the West Side for 23 years. I have passed by EJ's a thousand times and finally tried it and I was pleasantly surprised. It's a full on sports bar but with a neighborhood feeling. Lots of food and drink choices and great for catching up on your favorite sport. I'll be back. read more

I've been here three times in the last two months. Staff is very friendly. Even during chaotic play off games..... the atmosphere is friendly. The Turkey club sandwich is amazing and well as the nachos. I've also tried the IPA beers which are pretty good as well... if it's too packed you can always wait around for a bar seat which is just as good. I will definitely dine here again. read more

Wandered into this place one day and so happy I did. The hangover burger is by far the ultimate in breakfast/lunch mash up. Bacon, eggs, with a French toast bun...oh my. This is not for the faint of heart or anyone watching their calories. We loved it and thought about it the rest of the day...we also didn't eat the rest of the day because it did fill us up. We also had the pub philly. Very tasty and the French roll was a perfect combo of soft and crunchy. The Gorgonzola fries are bomb and the tater tots are nice and crispy. Definitely going back. For a bar that serves food, this place is great. It's definitely more of a bar feel, but that's alright because this is a pub. Their drinks are pretty standard and cannot complain. The food was also delicious. I had one of their regular burgers with a side of chili. My partner had a turkey burger which was also scrumptious. The service was quick and the pricing was appropriate. For the past 14 years I've never had problems with this restaurant. It used to be my extended families place to go for celebrations, usually birthdays and big promotions. Food has never been a problem, but management and how they treat their customers is appalling. It must be the new management cause I've never had service this bad in decades. The wings were amazing, other food on the menu is really a hit or miss. I ordered the parmesan patty melt and it had no flavor and was full of grease. The service was good, they didn't realize bother my table too much. They checked on us twice and then let us be until the bill came which in my opinion was great because the game was on. The ambiance was really good, it's a cool little spot. It could feel crowded depending on where you sit but I had a really good table with a really great view!!!! So In 2018 I brought 2 of my nieces and my nephew here to get some Buffalo wings on a challenge and they loved them, so we come here all they time. I love that even though it is and adult atmosphere they allow children to come and enjoy a little coloring. They have even went so far as to turn one of their tvs to cartoons for the babies. I love this place everyone is friendly and on point plus the food is bomb.
