My friends and I stopped in on a Friday night to check this place out. I had no idea it was located here and that parking was a bit challenging to find. After lucking into our spots, we were worried that there was a huge line. The line was actually for Neki Sushi (next door). When we went in it was only 1/4 full and we were instantly seated. I love the decor and it was so cute and decorative, reminded me of being in Japan. We got a booth and were immediately handed some menus. I had no idea that everything was so affordable--half off on their standard offerings for a total of $10 or $11, and $5 off on some of their signature offerings. They had the option of adding more toppings for an additional $1.50 each also. You're able to choose between Tonkatsu, Shoyo, and Miso broth. The $10 or $11 ramen features standard offerings and also 1 option for spicy. For the features that are some of their most popular, they had a Spicy and a Chicken ramen to choose from. For the other part of the menu, BOGO appetizers where you can choose from Deep Fried or Baked Rolls or Grilled options. Their drink menu features tea, soft drinks, sake, soju--with 1 free soft drink valid with Yelp check in. I didn't use this option since I'm more of a water fan, but it's good to know that it exists. We got a Baked Lobster Roll and Truffle Fries and Shimp Tempura and Baked California roll. For entrees we got the Eki Jumbo Chicken Ramen, Umami Black Garlic Ramen, and the Spicy Volcano Ramen. We also opted to get more spice on the side to add on to our orders. The broth we chose were Shoyu and Tonkatsu. First off everything came out pretty quickly and the staff was very attentive and kept checking on us. The spice wasn't super spicy and I'm glad we opted for the additional spice. Well this is a small hole on the wall place next to Neko sushi and Neko supreme. Kinda confusing at first. Saw a sign that said Neko ramen. And kept waking back and forward a few. So ordered a few dishes. And a bunch of inari as I wanted to see what it was about. It was a happy hour special so it was 1.99 a piece Wanted to warm up a bit with some soup. It is 55 degrees outside. And it felt like 60 inside. Food got cold really fast. Like come on guys. Can we turn the heater on? They have a microwave on the side counter. Wonder if I could have just heated up my food myself. Lol Handroll wasn't made like the traditional hand rolls see have been accustomed too. If you look at my pics it looks like a square piece of seaweed folded on half like a taco and put inside the holder. Now this doesn't change the overall taste of it (which was good by the way) but some inconvenience for some. See I didn't eat it right away as I was eating my ramen. So by the time I got to the handroll (5 mins later) the seaweed was soggy and sticking to the wooden holder and fell apart. I just scooped it out onto a plate and ate it with my chopsticks. Inari actually exceeded my expectations. It was overstuffed and lots of toppings. Double the size you would normally get at an ayce location. I recommend the creamy lobster. And eel. For some reason they ran out of anything salmon. Kinda weird. Wonder why they just didn't go get some from there ayce sushi stores literally nextdoor lol. Just saying. Lots of improvements could have been done yes. But overall experience of the food taste and flavor is good. Side note. I asked about doing a yelp check in and he mentioned the free dessert. Incredibly cute and delicious ramen shop in Chinatown. Eki Ramen is styled after traditional quick but delicious ramen in Japanese train stations and the vibe inside is so well done. Service was excellent as well and everyone was very friendly and prompt. I got the original ramen which was genuinely the best ramen and broth I've had yet. The Addicting Cucumbers were very Oily and bland. not much flavor, lots of crunch though. The Umami Black Ramen didn't have hardly any flavor, more noodles than veggies. I finally got a chance to try Eki, and had a hard time deciding between Volcano Ramen with tonkotsu broth and Jumbo Chicken Ramen with shoyu broth (not that into shoyu) both are recommended by the chef. I'm glad I chose Eki Jumbo Chicken Ramen. It was very good, decent size with flavorful broth. I like hoe the chicken is oven grilled, so the meat is very soft not dry and delicious roasted skin. Today was grocery shopping day and Asian groceries were on the bulk of the list so needless to say we were in Chinatown. As is our custom, we usually have lunch somewhere along the day as well. I've been seeing a significant amount of social media traffic for EKI ramen lately so we decided on lunch there. Well Eki is just the new name/brand and in the same space as Ramen Neko, the place has been spiffed up a bit more Japanesey items etc. they also added a grab and go section which is probably a good move for the late night crowd. A whole slew of tables outside would lend to the neighborhood casual eatery effect. By the way, EKI means train station in Japanese and urban train stations are really community hubs especially once you are a little farther out from downtown areas. There are usually department stores, restaurants, bars etc. surrounding many popular train station. Ok Japanese culture lesson aside. The menu has changed a bit but still ramen-centric with a few app's and maki and onigiri.. We ordered the fried gyoza (three) and the addicting cucumbers as apps . My dining partner had the eki signature ramen (basically a tonkatsu style ) and I had the Umami black garlic ramen (tonkatsu style) . I also ordered a tuna mayo onigiri as an app. Now for those of you who have never had one of the pre-made in some commercial kitchen torture treat, these puppies are like the rubick cubes of food. They are wrapped so the seaweed sheet is sealed separately from the rice and it is a three or four step process to get the seaweed free and wrapped around the triangle of rice. I basically murder mine every time I get one of these pre-made monsters. The gyoza were crispy, ok, nothing special but good. The addicting cucumber was really tasty. A sweet and moderately spicy (level 2-3) crunchy chili sauce. We enjoyed them to be sure. On to the ramen. ..... both bowls filled to the brim with broth (I like my broth super hot and I forgot to tell them to heat it more as the ramen noodles always cool the broth down). The noodles were excellent with a good tooth feel and were plentiful. Other ingredients were typical, chashu (pork) half of a soft hard boiled egg etc. mine was definitely garlicky .... We were definitely full by the time we finished. The bill was $35.49 out the door. Didn't ask for a military discount . Will I be back, for sure. Definitely a different vibe from Sora and some of the other ramen places around Chinatown read more

I am writing to share a disappointing experience I had at your location today. I am a regular customer and usually enjoy coming here, but the service I received from the server (red hair/facial piercings) was very unprofessional. When I first arrived and asked for napkins to clean a mess off my car, I was met with an immediate attitude. Later, when I tried to order, she insisted that all your ramens have the same broth, even though I was pointing at the menu which clearly lists Tonkotsu, Shoyu, and Miso separately. When I asked to wait for my friends, she was very dismissive and told me I should just cancel the order rather than trying to be accommodating.
