Located in a former raspados store. It's been remodeled and it looks great. We were welcomed right away and sat at a booth. The decor, chairs, and plates are decorated with the restaurant logo. I ordered the taco ala carte. I had the tripe, carne asada, and chicharrón tacos. They were all delicious. On the side was a mild green sauce and a spicy red, it had a kick but not too spicy. Thanks to the handy dandy Yelp app, I was able to find this place in Tucson. Apparently, this restaurant was formerly a taco truck and recently built their own brick and mortar at this very location! Their grand opening of the brick and mortar according to their IG was in February, so they're still relatively new. The prices compared to the ones that I've seen in reviews and in photos here on Yelp have gone up a bit, but totally understandable. We got a bunch of different items to try. To start, we were given chips and salsa. The salsa was delicious. For our food, we got the tacos arabe, taquitos, gorditas, and pozole. Hands down, my favorite dish was the chile colorado gordita. It was amazing! I could've easily had three of these. The wait wasn't too bad. We only waited about 15 minutes to be seated. Would definitely recommend this to anyone coming to Tucson looking for delicious Mexican food. read more

The food was really good. I had the mole chicken enchilada's, the mole was so good! The restaurant is small but very authentic Mexico and cute. They had a woman singing, so the live music was nice but really loud so it was hard to talk. The only thing that wasn't great was the service. They brought our food and never really returned.. we had to ask for more water, which came late.. we had to get up and ask for the check.. but we had hoped to maybe get dessert, but we waited and waited to ask for the menus, but the server never came back, so we just paid and left. I wish I had seen that they are BYOB... because I was looking forward to having a margarita.. but no margaritas! :( boo... overall we liked the mole.. and would probably just get takeout because the service was so bad and no alcohol. read more

So this was my first time here, and since the yelp reviews rave about the môle, I decided to give it a try. The mole was ok, but lacked flavor (I am a mole connoisseur) Im just used to a different kind of mole, I guess. The service was also, lacking as the cashier was also the waitress, and our glasses went empty without so much as a visit. When the meal was done we had to wait for the check and the server appeared annoyed for us bothering her about refills and the check as she was walking by without checking on us. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but give it a solid 3 stars. This place could really be great, with some minor improvements. They also only have one kind of salsa for the chips, and didn't offer a spicy option. They did bring a spicy red sauce to my buddies who ordered a carne asada burrito, but the server made it a point to tell me, the basic salsa is the only thing you get with the chips. How about letting me pay for the spicy one .. just give me the option. . Now for the entree..: So the mole enchiladas had shredded chicken on the inside, cotija cheese on the top, with white onions garnished over the mole sauce. There was no cheese on the inside of the enchiladas, and was disappointed with the basic taste as the chicken was dry and bland inside. One plate of enchiladas $18, one lemonade $5, taxes and tip $28. Lastly, this place doesn't offer any lunch specials so would only recommend for dinner. read more

I've been in love with this place ever since they were a food truck. I have had many moments of chalupa cravings and can't go anywhere else but here to satisfy them. Delicious meals that our whole family enjoyed! Very family friendly. Two of my kids are preeeeeetty picky, but we were able to find something on the menu to satisfy everyone (sadly the nopales were not enjoyed by the kiddos but more for mom and dad!). I had the mole and it was divine. We actually had pretty slow service but will chalk that up to an off day since the majority of reviews say the opposite. Service and food were terrible. Once they brought my huarache de adobada, which was mostly lettuce (can you spot meat in the pic?), they did not even bother to check on me once. We ordered pick up/take out and only received one chicken thigh. The chicken flautas were bland however the salsa made things much more palatable. The salsa is definitely top 10. I can't speak to the service or ambiance because we did take out. The agua fresca jamaica (hibiscus juice) was VERY delicious. I will be back to eat in house and try some different options for sure. hate to be that person to start bad rep on a name but they treat takeout orders with zero urgency , and prioritize walk ins over orders put in way before them. It's very inconsiderate. I'm a grub hub driver and the order was small wt only 2 small taco orders and 1 soup. It took over 30 minutes to bring to me... mind you, when i get there , goal is to have it out for driver in time. They did not and you can tell they prioritize dining above and beyond it. others also waited long for orders.. i guess i snapped when i saw it was a very small order too. did 2 orders and came back to this one and still wasn't ready. Some of the best cactus tacos and mole of my life!! Got the nopales (cactus) tacos, huaraches, and chicken mole. Ordered to go and everything was hot, and it was ready within 15 mins. The decor of the restaurant was very cute and it's a family friendly place!! Cactus tacos- sometimes cactus can be bitter but not here! It was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and had a bit to it without being too crunchy or too soggy. Huaraches- got this with adobada, and every part of it was amazing!! Meat was good quality, flavorful, and left me dreaming of it!! The corn based tortilla on the bottom was nice and thick to soak up all the yummy juices. Mole- I was blown away by this mole, it was the plate licking sauce that got me!!! The chicken was sooo tender and the sauce had the perfect balance of cacao, sweetness, and savoriness!!! Last night I had dinner at El Antojo Poblano. This restaurant was obviously planned for the long term Mexican plates bearing the name, El Antojo Poblano. On perusing the menu, the Enchiladas Suizas immediately caught my eye. They are a favorite since I first enjoyed them at the Hotel Playa Mazatlan in 1968. Well, I ordered the Enchiladas Suiza and they were the absolute best I have had since 1968. I will be returning to this W. St Mary's Rd restaurant again soon and highly recommend that you give their wonderful non-Sonoran Mexican food a try. read more

Always on the lookout for good mole and doing errands nearby, husband and I stopped in 4:30 or 5 in the afternoon. Our waiter was the grandson of the lady who makes the mole and freeze dries it in I think he said Puebla, Mexico. Absolutely distinctively delicious! Hubby had a chimichanga smothered in salsa verde that he enjoyed also! Beautifully decorated w bright colors of Mexico and a large foto of Popocatépetl. We just found our new favorite place! I make mole that takes a day or two to make, and these guys make it even better! If the restaurants that have mole, most of them have boiled chicken in it. This chicken was delightful in their wonderful sauce. I have been craving it again ever since I had it. My DH had the enchiladas rojas with cecina. He licked the platter clean :-). We have eaten twice at this restaurant, a dinner and a lunch. It is just down the street from St Mary's hospital which makes it convenient to eat at after a doctor's appointment. We were fortunate to arrive just before the crowds came to the restaurant. We were seated quickly and the waiter took our drink order when we sat down and left us with a very enticing menu. For dinner I selected the mole dish and it was wonderful. My daughter and my wife had different dishes that included the chile relleno and chicken enchiladas. Their rice side is perfect and the entire meal was rich in flavor. For lunch I had a pork burrito and Kathy had a tostada topped with nopal. The tostado was perfect and the cilantro sauce added a refreshing finish. For both meals the portions were large and I brought home half of my dinner and lunch.m This is just a small restaurant in a strip mall. The place is very family oriented and families made up more than half the tables. It is a noisy as everyone was having conversations with each other. They do take out and use DoorDash for deliveries.
