This is the only place I come to for my burrito de lengua and horchara. This place looks like a small run-down, hole in the wall but it is worth it! I have never waited in their drive thru and am always promptly greeted. Staff is nice and pleasant. Their lengua burro is very filling and they do not skimp you out on lengua. I was in the area and was looking for a good taco spot. I came across El Asadero which is a fairly simple mexican restaurant with a decent menu. Inside the place is very clean but also pretty limited seating. I ordered the pastor tacos as well as the cabeza and was surprised on how good they came out. The tortillas tasted like if they were homemade, the meats were cooked good and contained a lot of flavor. The salsa bar was also a plus with the red being the hottest flavor. I walked in, the lady/cashier was very rude. Asked if we were ordering or not. On 06/24 at about 1:30pm. Ordered about 6 tacos & burrito and the meat was VERY hard. Look like they gave us old meat. When my mom told her the meat was very hard and if we can get new ones instead of apologizing and just getting us fresh meat. she started giving us attitude & making faces like if it was our fault. We go all the time and get the family 1 lb meal of carne asada and it is bomb. Our kids - toddler age up to 10 years old - all inhale the little tacos (they just skip the spicy stuff. It comes with salsa, grilled jalapeños, tortillas, chopped cabbage, and chopped onion/cilantro. The whole family loves it. My husband and I sometimes get it and hide it from the kids. Place doesn't look like much when you see it. It's pretty clean, has 4 booths that seat 4 each and 3 small 2 seat tables on the inside. Ordered the asada plate, beans and rice were good. The meat was flavorful not like the cheap meat they use at filibertos. Also tried the Al Pastor taco and the meat was super flavorful and very good, they cook the tortillas and make them a bit crispy with a tiny bit of oil. Good salsas only red or green. Horchata was good, could taste the cinnamon but not too much or too sweet. The strawberry churro was really good! Overall this is a good spot for authentic Mexican food.
