At least once a week I'll eat here, mostly for Dinner however, El Bracero is open for breakfast as well. El Bracero has been open less than a year but, they are emerging as a very good place for Mexican food. Although El Bracero is small in size, they are big on flavor. The menu is wide, with all your favorite Mexican entrees There's a bar where you can eat and drink if you're by yourself or with friends. Speaking from experience, their Margaritas are very good. Tried this place again and it lost a star for it's food. Called in to order for takeout and service was great. I wasn't too happy about the price, it has gone up and the website doesn't show updated price. Regardless, the food is plenty. I finally got to try the gordita and the lengua and tripas tacos. My husband got their barbacoa plate and we ordered the chimichanga plate again because it was good the last time we got it. Seems like food is not cooked consistently here. Chimichanga was very salty this time. The shredded chicken gordita lacked a lot of flavor. They gave me a lot of shredded chicken which was very nice, but there was no flavor. I was disappointed. Other than that, the gordita wasn't dry and it came very stuffed with chicken. My husband's barbacoa lacked salt, but we prefer it to be lacking salt than to be overly salted. The lengua and tripas tacos wasn't anything special. The lengua was soft, not chewy or tough. Tacos comes with their red and green sauces which are not my favorite either, comes with a good kick, but not my favorite. The tripas was nicely crispy with a clean taste. I asked for extra crispyness too. Basic tacos, nothing to be impressed about, but glad I got to have some lengua and tripas. I probably would order from here again since it is close by, but will think twice before recommending this place. You do get a lot of food for the price so if you want quantity over quality then it doesn't hurt to try this place. read more

Finally got to try both lunch and breakfast at this place! I went as basic as you can to determine whether a Mexican restaurant is good or not. For lunch, I got a carne asada taco and a crispy tripas taco. Carne asada was great! Cooked and seasoned perfectly! The tripas, i felt could have been a little cleaner. But still had a great crunch to them. Salsa was good and plenty of cilantro and onion! Breakfast was a bit of a let down. I ordered on the phone and the order was ready by the time I arrived, I truly appreciate a business that values your time. I ordered a bacon and egg taco and a machacado taco. The B&E taco was an egg taco with a bacon strip. I understand they do this to save time, but part of a bacon and egg taco is allowing the egg to cook in that bacon fat. The machacado was a bit dry, like maybe it had been sitting for a while? Service was great, lace looked very clean and very comfortable and rustic furniture. First and last visit. Dining out as a party of 4 and we all ordered sweet tea. The tea tasted old & rancid and none of us liked it so after one sip we asked the waitress if we could order something else. Placed our 2nd drink order and food order. When she arrived to bring us our 2nd drink choice she informed us that we would have to pay for both drinks because there is nothing wrong with the tea. We told her we didn't like the tea and shouldn't have to pay for it. She said, "Well we've been serving it all day and no one has complained about it and that's a waste of tea for us." So we canceled our order, paid for the $14 tea and won't be coming back. Customer service rule #1. Customer is always right. Just because no one else complained about the tea doesn't mean there's nothing wrong with it, it means Americans are accustomed to poor customer service and accepted the scenario. 4 paying customers all disliked it; now you've lost our business. It was my first visit and I really wanted to like this place, but it was very far off from my expectations. The service was subpar as our server seemed to be a disgruntled minor (13 or 14 years old). Maybe a child of the people who own the establishment? My enchiladas were flat and greasy, the rice was very orange and bland and all was served at room temperature. ORANGE carne guisada lacking flavor and undercooked because it was not soft. The tortillas had an odd scent to them with a styrofoam-ish texture. I really tried to give the food a chance but I couldn't make it through even half the plate. Among other things, they have overpriced CANNED soft drinks and watered down ice tea. You have to walk up to the cashier to pay your check and she is quite annoyed with her job it seems. Let me not forget to mention that they charge a 4% fee for using a credit card. This was the worst place I have ever been too. For it being a New Mexican restaurant I figured it would have been good but it wasn't. I ordered the temale plate and it took almost an hour for them to bring out the food and it wasn't even that busy. By the time the brought it out the food was cold or u could say luke warm. I told them to take it back because for as we had to wait u figured the food would have been hot but it wasn't. When I went up to pay I could see why my food was cold because they only had on cook in the kitchen. In total my bill was $43 and it wasn't even worth it for my family and I. This spot is PERFECT, the food was great! Staff was super friendly and very attentive. My brother and I just so happened to have come in on a Saturday night during their Karaoke and Happy hour. Very fun, even tho neither of us sang LOL. It was a great time and definitely distracted us from all this COVID non sense. Where to begin. This place is hot garbage. An all-around trainwreck. I got a 2 oz serving of ceviche that came on a hot plate that cost 13$. I ordered cheese dip that came out in a tiny styrofoam cup that was still cold in the middle because, naturally, it was microwaved. That cost 8$. The chips were cold. The fajita steak was rubbery, and tasted like, idk, like a member of the great ape family would taste. It was awful. My wife wouldn't even try her's. It looked like roadkill. They tried to charge me twice for my wife's meal. When I pointed out that she didn't order two entrees, they didn't refund my card, they just gave me the difference in cash. It was super weird. My entire meal was like 70$ for two people and a child. My child ordered a plain cheese quesadilla and he wouldn't even eat his, he said it tasted gross. We had a great experience at El Bracero. The service was really great. Our server Max was friendly, engaging and constantly making sure we had everything we needed. Our food was really good too and the portions were huge! Honestly the price was not bad either. I highly recommend the street tacos and fajitas. Both were delicious!
