Today's special was beef brisket $5 and each side is $2 each (there are 2 veggie sides/servings here. The total was about $10 after taxes.

I was here for a medical appointment and had to wait longer than expected, so I decided to get something to eat in the hospital. This cafeteria/bistro is located downstairs from the main level. Take the stairs or elevator downstairs across from the lobby/reception area. There is a small coffee shop right in front of the cafeteria. Reasonable prices for a hospital food bistro. They seem to have daily specials and an omelet station for breakfast. Items are mostly a la carte. The main protein is about $5-6 dollars, and each side dish is around $2. They also have pizza slices for about $4-5 and an assortment of bottled drinks, chips, cookies/sweets, and fruits. I got the daily special beef brisket and 2 sides of veggies (total about $10 after taxes). Brisket was surprisingly tender and soft. Better than expected for hospital food. Nice perk is that there is an indoor/outdoor courtyard in front of the cafeteria and someone was playing the piano during lunch today.

Husband is in the hospital for a couple of months. I am so thankful that the food here is really good. The prices are also low which helps when you have a loss of income due to an illness. It gets busy during lucnh but they are so organized I never have to wait. I wish they were open on the weekends forf breakfast.

The pizza here is great. That's why I'm walking across the street later after working out at the Y.

Decades later, it hasn't lost an ounce of its charm, and I truly can't recommend it enough. Don't let the classic cafeteria-style setup fool you; the moment you reach the counter, you're greeted by an amazing, welcoming staff and a vast spread of delicious comfort food. My absolute go-to is the hot turkey dinner, it's like having Thanksgiving year-round with all the fixings. My sister usually opts for the hot roast beef sandwich (or dinner plate), which is just as incredible. To top it all off, they have a fantastic bar and a great outdoor patio. A total classic that never disappoints! Highly recommend

Parking was fairly easy to find, we immediately found a spot on a Saturday afternoon. They operate cafeteria style basically. You get in line, you order what you want from the carvery, and pay. We stood off to the side to study the menu before hopping in line as it was our first time. I ordered the roast turkey sandwich on dutch crunch bread, which they dipped in jus for me. They also asked if I had a preference for white or dark meat, which was very nice. I chose a mix. After I opted for all the toppings, the carver complimented my sandwich choices. So I knew I was in for a good meal! My boyfriend opted for a half roast turkey sandwich on white bread, mac and cheese, and the soup of the day. We found a table pretty easily and I liked the assortment of mustard at the table. Decor was very charming and old fashioned, but I liked it! Workers were bussing tables around us and working very hard. We're both looking forward to our next visit, very enjoyable experience! Service was great from start to finish!

My friend bought the fried chicken sandwich and finally heard chicken sandwich was burnt, but the sauce was good. So for a blue door restaurant, we give them 3.5 stars with a potential to be a 4 star if they didn't burn the fried chicken sandwich. I noticed a lot of retired folks eat here, but I see families as well sometimes. I'm pushing 50 and have two young kids, I work in the morning most days but every now and then I have a day off where I can have breakfast with my wife and this is always our go to spot. I'll be frank. There are a lot of breakfast spots that seem to be frequented by retired folks and most of them to be honest or not that good but are reasonably priced. This place is not that. The food is not cheap, but it is excellent and you get a lot. Cannot recommend this place enough and I hope it never ever goes away. For specifics, they have the most amazing oatmeal which I always get with skillet potatoes which are delicious. Everything here is just really good, even the coffee, and tea, and lattes.

For the amount of people working they could probably have servers take your order. Still not a problem as this is much quicker than having to wait. This place has a large seating area inside and a decent size outdoor patio. Everything is self serve, get your own water, napkins, condiments. The only thing missing was silverware. I had to ask the counter where the silverware was. She stated that when they bring out the food, they will bring out the utensils. Kinda confusing since everything else was already out at stations. We got the French toast combo and the blueberry pancakes that were on special. The French toast had a great flavor. Orange zest, cinnamon, mixed with butter. Bacon was crispy but not burnt. The pancakes tasted fine,it said it came with bananas and blueberries. I could see the blueberries, but not the bananas. Thought I could taste banana. Not sure how they cook the pancakes, but they stayed hot and took a while to cool down. Normally most pancakes come out luke warm at best. Food was good but the vibe was off.
