    Mango margarita

This place is awesome!!! Very casual, small town bar and restaurant. The customer service was amazing, i wish i could remember both bartenders name (both ladies) They both were on top of things with a smile and very friendly. We ordered an appetizer combo and we loved it. Drinks were really good too. Order a mango margarita, long island and vodka soda with lime. Cant wait to go back!

Steak and Shrimp Picata with El Diablo sauce!

We have eaten here 6 or more times this winter on our way to our Duck club in Gustine. We have tried numerous items with favorites being Chile Verde, Chili Colorado and the Picata dishes with Shrimp , beef and Chicken using the fabulous El Diablo sauce( not on the menu- a local recommended we try it). Worth asking for it! The servers are always pleasant, efficient and courteous! Combine this with reasonable prices and it continues to be a winner- at least with an Fart like me! A family of any age would enjoy this place!

We've been coming here regularly for the last 3 years. The service is hit & miss and unfortunately, do use the food. Not crowded tonight, five tables including ours. We sat ourselves; 4 min before or server took our drink order and brought menus; from the time we got our drinks to the time or server decided you get off of her phone and take our order, was 9 min! My husband has ordered the El Campestre burrito on numerous occasions and ALWAYS orders carne asada and adds shrimp (w/ $2 up charge, which is standard). Tonight however, the waitress and cooks said that the charge is $.75 PER Shrimp, and asked us how many did we want... 37 minutes later, (see pic) our server MIA again and our food sits getting cold. I had to holla for someone to bring out food. My sons nuggets are over done almost leathery. (See pic) Overall, terrible experience and I think it's time for us to look for a better Mexican spot. We don't mind paying good money but its just not worth it for OK service, and/or so-so food.

Combo dinner chicken tostada and Chile Colorado burrito

Had an 1 1/2 hours to kill in Newman before my daughters basketball game, so I went into the most bustling restaurant/bar in town since I hadn't eaten all day. Greeted by friendly server who gave me a menu and asked my drink preference. I asked what beer on tap and was told, but nothing excited me. Bland tap beer like coors light, bud, shock top, blah blah blah. How an establishment can have no REAL craft beer on the menu (like Stone or Anchor) in this day in age, is beyond me. Opted for a bottle of Carta Blanca. Served cold with a lime. Put the lime in my water. Chips and Salsa presented. Good salsa, very mild. Menu was as extensive as any Mexican restaurant. Ordered combo dish with chicken tostada and Chile Colorado burrito. Came with ample rice and refried beans. It looked beautiful. It looked delicious. But, IT WAS SO BLAND. No flavor. Served with a salt shaker, and I was tempted because of the flavor deficiency. Added salsa to the rice but helped little. Too bad, because the dish looked promising. It all just needed something. At least the beer was cold and the service was friendly.

There is not much to brag about the food here. They serve standard and very average courses here. The service is polite but lacking. Going just down the sidewalk to one of the other Mexican restaurants may turn out to be a better option.

Used to go here every other week but the prices have noticeably increased. Make it worth driving to Turlock or modesto. Food here is great and convenient but like I said prices are too high. Charging for chips and salsa that you don't ask for isn't cool. Hopefully they get their stuff together

Theyve messed up my orders lately. Last nachos I picked up were soggy . My horchata was so watered down. Never again....

Love my veggie burrito. There are times that there are complaints while dining but we like to order to go and enjoy the food at home.

Best restaurant in town, and I love the bartender! You can tell she's full of experience, and the margaritas ROCK! Great salsa too!

This trip was no different except I'd begun in a different city than usual which changed the time and place that I stopped. While filling the gas tank at the Arco in Santa Nella I couldn't help but notice the taco truck (with shaded seating area) on the far edge of the property. Any plans for In-N-Out evaporated when I walked over and checked out the offerings. 6 tacos later ($2.86 each; 4 carne asada, 1 al pastor, 1 carnitas shared between two people) we'd both declared this place a winner. Had it not been so hot out I'd have also purchased a burrito for later. Or perhaps the 3 enchiladas for $7. Or maybe some quesabirrias. You see where I'm going. I thought the tacos here were declicious and was pretty certain I'd find the rest of the menu no different. Fresh and spicy salsas as well as a plop of grilled onions made these tacos as enticing as any In-N-Out burger and that's a compliment to both places. If you find yourself looking for very good Mexican fare in Santa Nella, look no further.

The chicken tacos was probably one of the best that ive had and i love when we get grilled jalapenos and onions with the tacos! Salsa was also good and flavorful. We didnt wait too long and there was not many people ahead of us, not much else to say! Great chicken tacos & good vibes obviously they are a food truck so locations will vary!

My son also specifically requested Alfredo so it's great that they have that on the kids menu! If you're tired of fast food, I highly recommend making this place your lunch or dinner stop. Food comes out fast and service is great. Highlight of our night was when staff handed my kids a small cup of koi food so we could feed the fish before making our way home. The kids really enjoyed that. We will be making this our pit stop coming home from SoCal every time from now on.

We were initially told there would be a 20-minute wait, which was totally fine. Then things got a little... interesting. Two different staff members told the greeter at the front that our table was ready, but we were still asked to keep waiting. About 15 minutes into our wait, a party of 7 walked in and was told they would have a table ready for them. At that point, we decided our party of 3 had apparently been moved to the "please continue waiting indefinitely" category and we left. What made this especially strange was that there were five tables for four open. We understand that restaurants get busy and that seating can be complicated, but this situation just didn't make sense. If a table is available and staff are saying it's ready, why keep guests waiting while a much larger party is welcomed in? The food may be great, but the customer experience left us scratching our heads. Every customer should feel like they're important -- whether they're a party of 3, 7, or even just one person. Hopefully management can take a look at what happened, because this was a very unusual experience.
