It's easy to park outside and walk into El Chupacabra. It's a little dark inside so bring a flashlight (that's humor...). We got a table right away and had a drink order in fast. The service was great! The guac was a little small for the price, but it was full of flavor. I got a trio of different tacos. Each one was delicious, but the fried fish was definitely my favorite. The batter was nice and light, the cabbage was fresh, and the sauce was amazing! I will happily eat here again! Great food, great service!

Dive looking but family friendly. Great drinks, better bartenders. Margaritas are a must here and bloody Mary's are always an option

El Chupacabra is right along Alki Beach if you're looking to grab a bite to eat. They have a mix of outdoor (but covered!) and indoor seating. The menu is very basic with Chipotle style bowls and some taco options. I swung by for dinner on a Saturday around 6:30 PM and they were at 40-50% capacity the whole time. Overall, not mind blowing but the food was solid if you're looking for something convenient. Beer Battered Fish Tacos (4.25/5): Fish was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and super tender inside. Everything was exactly as you'd expect and done well. The slaw was crunchy and fresh, tortilla chips were salty and harder crunchy. I just wish the limes were a bit juicier.

This place was phenomenal. Me and my family of 4 came here and got sat down instantly. We ordered our food and maybe 15 minutes later it came out and was probably the best Mexican food i've had in quite a while. I ordered the Carne Asada tacos on the soft corn and they were delicious. Our server Jenn was absolutely amazing at her job and she was just a whole vibe and we loved her. Will be coming back when I come back to Seattle!! ‍

I really wanted to love this place, but the food quality could have been better. The location is so perfect, though, that I already know we'll definitely be back. FYI, this place has two levels: an upstairs and a front area for seating. If you want to get a good buzz and eat something to balance out the alcohol, then this place can work for you. If you're looking for quality, it's not the place for you. The service was good for being a divey vibe. The servers were super attentive and friendly. The food and drinks came out lightning quick, too. We came here for Cinco de Mayo's extended happy hour and will be back when we're in the area. The place's affordability is probably what attracts casual diners and folks who just happen to be in the area. We saw people from all walks of life here, not just locals.

Food was okay, not as tasty as the reviews I read prior to visiting this place. Quick service and the atmosphere is the best with Alki beach on the opposite side. Poppers were good. Chimichanga wet burrito (chicken tinga meat) was alright, Grilled cod tacos were bland, Crunchy Chicken verde tacos were okay-ish and Chicken verde+tinga Enchiladas was decent. Mexican Hot toddy and Nutty hot coco was refreshing.

This is a great spot. They have indoor and outdoor seating with a variety of drinks. I quite loved my spiked horchata drink. The food was good and very filling. The staff were nice and the energy was good. I hope you enjoy your experience.

This Mexican restaurant/bar with dive bar vibes and punk rock music playing reminds me so much of Austin, TX. It has a great location right across from Alki Beach and serves up delicious food and drinks at a reasonable price. The chips and salsa fresca are amazing and the salsas on the table (salsa roja, salsa verde, chipotle pineapple) are addicting. The chicken tinga tacos are flavorful, juicy, and delicious. The margaritas are on point! Happy hour is worth it and it's 4-6 pm and 10-11 pm every day.

We came by on a Sunday late afternoon for what we thought would be a quick dinner, and it ended up being such a lovely meal. We ordered the pad thai, pad kee mao, banh xeo, and the mango trout. Even though the restaurant was fairly busy, everything came out in a timely manner and tasted so fresh and thoughtfully prepared. One thing I really appreciated was how flavorful and tender the meats were in each dish. You could tell the proteins were marinated and cared for before being added in, instead of just tossed into a noodle dish as an afterthought like I've experienced at other places. It made such a difference. The mango trout was such a standout. The trout was a great size, and the mango was firm, crunchy, and fresh, which I absolutely loved. The banh xeo was also delicious: thin, crispy, and served with fresh herbs that weren't wilted at all. The nuoc mam was perfect too, not overly sweet, light, balanced, and just right with the banh xeo. Portions were generous, and we ended up taking food home because we couldn't finish everything. That is always a good problem to have. Most of all, I really want to mention how welcoming the service was. Lynda took such great care of us and made the whole experience feel warm and personal. You can tell this is a place with heart behind it, and I truly hope more people in the neighborhood give it a try. It's not easy running a small business, especially in a beautiful but busy area like Alki, and restaurants like this deserve to be supported. We'll definitely be back. Thank you so much, Lynda, for such a wonderful meal and for making us feel so welcome!

I surprised to see there were a few empty tables for a Friday night. We decided not to order the AYCE because a couple of us can no longer eat that much. Our group of 6 ordered the large Mixed Combo and these appetizers: Do Si chicken, crispy chicken and the corn cheese. Everything was very good including the banchan. Service was also good too. The space gives off Korean pocha vibes, and the best part of the experience was definitely the location. Being right across from the water with a nice beach view made the atmosphere really enjoyable. Service started off well, but once it got busier, it became a lot less consistent. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the price point. The quality of the meat was disappointing, and both the kimchi stew and corn cheese were lacking flavor. Even the side dishes tasted like they had been sitting for a while and weren't very fresh. They also don't offer a lunch menu on weekends, so for what you're paying, the food quality just isn't worth it. Overall, the only standout for me was the view. I really wanted to like this place because the ambiance has potential, but the food and overall value were underwhelming.

After many attempts I finally get her to try a Pork Quesadilla. She really liked it and I think we may have won her over a little bit. However, when we first arrived the hostess sat us at our booth and handed us two menus and left. I opened my menu and the inside was covered in salsa. I had to get up and find somebody to exchange it. With that taken care of, I ordered the Super Burrito Manadero. I got it with Chile Colorado Beef. To me the beef was a little dry, and it seemed like it was the beef that they may use for the shredded beef, they just didn't shred it. It fell apart in my mouth and tasted good, but was a bit dry. And they were cut in huge meatball size chunks, down to smaller bite sized chunks. I still enjoyed it, but the two previous Mexican restaurants that I got this at, just hit it out of the park with one place using filet mignon steak chunks, and the other using waygu beef. It's hard to compete with that (and they were only $2-3 more). For dessert I bought the fried ice cream. I LOVE Fried Ice Cream! This was pretty good, nice portion size, and they use a raspberry sauce on top of it. I've never seen that before. They didn't use corn flakes (my favorite) but it was nice. Overall, this is still a great place if you live nearby and love Mexican food and don't want to drive to Edmunds or Lynnwood. Definitely give them a shot.
