We've been driving by this place for years & have never stopped in. We finally did for happy hour [M-F 3-6] recently & it was well worth our while. We ordered the Coronelitos, Ceviche Tostada, & 3 street tacos, & it all was very tasty. So was the salsa, refried beans & chips they came with. $5 wine & $4 beers. They have 5 beers on tap & I ordered the Ballast Point Sculpin IPA, the best of the bunch, & 1 of my favorites. We'll be back again & order from the regular menu next time. read more

This is a wonderful restaurant!! It is so bright and cheerful inside. The food is marvelous as well!! They give you a delicious bean dip and a little plate of nachos when you sit down. Talk about service!! They give you a luscious fried flour tortilla with strawberry and whipped cream after your meal. Wow! Now, the meal itself is yumtastic!! To die for shrimp enchiladas, fajitas, and chili rellenos. Sometimes they'll have a short wait for a table but nothing too tragic. Order a drink at the bar to pass the time. read more

Went there for dinner with 4 kids and my hubby. The staff was very nice and attentive. I had the chicken and steak fajitas which were really yummy. My only complaint is that I asked for the onions and bell peppers to be cooked really really good and they weren't. No biggie. It came with retried beans, guacamole, rice and sour cream. Plenty of food for myself and my daughter. We got the combo appetizer that came with nachos, taquitos, flautas, quesadilla, and a tamale. Sadly enough everything lacked flavor. I was expecting the sauces to pop but my taste buds were sadly disappointed. My husband order the 3 combo with a tongue burrito which he really liked. All in all it is a really good restaurant although sometimes it misses the mark. I will go back because it's close to home and is usually pretty good. read more

my chorizo and al pastor burrito was good but a bit salty. my grandparents ordered a vegitarian burrito and loved it.However, they said that the enchilada sauce they put on top of the burrito tasted cheap, canned, and not spicy enough. OMG, we have lived in Forestville for 8 years, and have NEVER eaten here. Thank you YELP for giving them 4th on your rating system, however, for a Mexican restaurant, they should be #1. After a wonderful Mothers Day in SF, very tired and sunburned, we decided to have a quick dinner and margarita. Boy were we impressed. We tried the steak fajitas and the steak taco salad. Stopped by for a late lunch after seeing the place passing through town a few times. We were seated right away and service was fine through out the meal. The food was good, but the enchilada red sauce had something that I could not quite figure out. It was good, but different. We noted that on the front of the menu there was a peanut warning stating that the enchilada sauce may contain peanut butter? Never heard of this but it was the joke throughout the meal. Will have to give the place a try again some time and see how it goes. read more

I'm surprised someone hasn't written something negative about this restaurant not being "authentic"! (Maybe someone has.) WHO CARES??? My wife and I eat here every time we're in Sebastopol. She's the queen of cheese enchiladas and pronounces them perfect. I've had a variety of dishes, but I really crave their fish tacos. Everything is good and reasonably priced. We both love the bean dip and mini-nachos they serve, and their chips are fresh. Yes, the service can be a little dicey, but everyone is very nice, and who cares when you dine on Mexican food this good. read more

Today was my third visit to this restaurant. The previous times the restaurant did not have many customers and the service was fine. Today they were very busy and the service was slow and very unfriendly. The food was just okay.My son ordered fish tacos and he said the flavor was fine but the tacos are tiny and the price too high for the serving size. The bean dip they start you with is good, their salsas are not. If I go again, and that is a big IF, it will not be at a peak time. Just downgraded to two stars because we tried to go there for dinner the other evening at 8:35 (their posted closing time is 9:00). When we opened the door to enter the restaurant they quickly informed us they were closed! No problem, won't be going there any more! If they don't want the business, we won't give it to them. We jumped back in the car, drove to Himalayan Tandoori and Curry House right down the street who has the same closing time and they gladly served us! We had another great meal at Himalayan Tandoori! This is a nice place to stop and get a great Margarita at a decent price, but the food is just so so (average). We've had a number of dishes including the steak burrito and cheese enchilada, and these were very tasty. Also a star is the salsa and the warm bean dip given along with fresh chips. Atmosphere is nice and easy going. Very vibrant and bright. Initial dipping sauces are tasty. I'm so hungry this will inevitably be slightly biased but the mole burrito was off the charts. Try the bbq anything. That took me by surprise. read more

What a mess! ambivalent service cold mystery meat mixed in with order hard to get check good margharitas though...so I suppose if you drink enough you can forgive all that. The waiter seemed to be distracted when we sat down, hence brought me a salad that had half of whatevermeat was on it before they realized I ordered the beef taco salad...and scraped it off:::shiver:::....glopping tasteless cold beef on top. ..I can go on and on... I asked for no beans, no sour cream, and both were there. My dining companion thought his salmon was good, but portions, of salmon and sides were really small. (odd because most portions here are generous) Our drinks were pretty good, but no one ever came by to ask if we'd like a second, or if our food was OK. So, when we were waiting for check, I felt like leaving... it was so long I felt like they simply didn't care if we'd paid. (we paid..but it I had to flag the airhead waitress down twice to do it- I hate being made to look like I'm high maintenance when I'm simply trying to do the right thing) We've been here several times, its known to be not great...but this time was just the last straw. For your catering needs you've got to try this restaurant! We used them to cater our wedding rehearsal dinner for 40 people. Their service is wonderful. I started emailing the catering manager and we worked out the menu. I'm a very detailed person and she never tired of answering my questions. I felt the price per person was extremely fair and they even provided the 5 chafing dishes at no extra charge. The day of the event, the owner of the restaurant came a few hours early to make sure everything would be suitable - he reviewed where the food would be placed, and he delivered the chafers explaining to me when to add the hot water. When the food arrived (exactly on time), they were very unobtrusive and extremely polite, making sure everything was explained to me and that it was to my liking. The food itself was fabulous. Rice, beans, beef fahitas, chicken fahitas, cheese enchiladas were so fresh and our guests absolutely raved about them. Also included were two kinds of tortillas, tortilla chips for snacking and huge bowls of pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream (all packed in ice bowls to keep them cold.) The quantity of food was much more than for 40 people, and everyone was able to have 2nds (and we still had leftovers.) What a feast! I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough - they made our party fabulous! read more
