Our tour guy Alex asked us if we wanted authentic Mexican food from a local spot for lunch or to go to somewhere commercial. Everybody on the tour answered authentic Mexican food and so we ended up here. When we arrived the locals, police and crowd of people were there eating and Alex explained to us that it can get a bit busy at lunch time. This to me meant the local people enjoyed this spot so I knew it had to be official. We managed to get a seat and that was great because my wife wanted to take a dip in the water at the little private beach. My wife loved the water and she swam for a while or fake swam for a while since she can't swim. Lol. I had ordered our food which came around that time. We ordered nachos with beef, chicken and guacamole. I believe she also had some shrimp. The food was orgasmic. The flavors were robust. I mean this food was on another level. My mouth is watering thinking about it now (5yrs later). Every time I eat Mexican food I think about this place. The food was just that good. The staff were very polite and also spoke English. That was excellent for me since I spoke a limited amount of Spanish. They kept the drinks coming and checked in us regularly to make sure we were enjoying our experience and had everything we need. I could not have asked for better service. They even brought us some things off menu that we desired drink wise. After all our food was done they helped us back to our ATV and we rode out with Estigo Tours to finish our excursion. Until today I had not known the name of this place to leave a review. Drinks were consistently refreshed, time was given to take sunset photos, and everything was presented and explained. The food and drinks were all phenomenal. We had two types of margaritas (Jamaica and Mango Passionfruit), and both were refreshing and sweet. The Bone Marrow appetizer was rich and hearty. The Confit Suckling Pig and Beef Filet were cooked to perfection. And the Memorias dessert was a unique mix of flavors. This is a meal experience not to be missed. The dish came with chimichurri sauce and fresh guacamole and a side of asparagus. The flavors were on point for every single item on this platter. To end, Pedro suggested the coconut tubi, which we tried. It did not disappoint. They also brought us an extra chocolate moussse heart for our anniversary, which was very thoughtful. They even brought out a heart balloon and put it on my wrist. The whole setting, the staff and the food made this night unforgettable. We loved every minute of our visit and would definitely return. This restaurant is known for their seafood and boy was it fresh. They don't have a specific menu, but rather they bring out a tray of their fresh selection of the day. Everything was beautiful and the shrimp was gigantic. We opted for the red snapper, lobster and the large shrimp. Everything was cooked to perfection and was absolutely delicious. Oh, and I have to make a point of mentioning their margaritas. Fresh fruit margaritas... So yummy. We tried the mango margarita with fresh mangoes and strawberry margarita as well. I just love drinks made with fresh fruits. I think it was my favorite margarita of the entire trip. I do highly recommend you check this place out. The food is phenomenal and the service is wonderful. The 20 minute Uber ride cost about US$15 so well worth it, especially if you do a beach day and make a day of it.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like honored guests. Servers were plentiful, professional, humorous and attentive. Our primary server was Alexis and his service was stellar - not only did he attend to our every request with a smile - he anticipated and was proactive. We also had a table side mixologist whose name escapes me (sorry!) but he was wonderful as well - making suggestions and creating specialty drinks on the fly. The staff made us feel like the only customers in the restaurant. Five of us succumbed to "eyes bigger than stomach" and ordered way too much food. We found the extensive menu both challenging (because *everything* sounded delicious) and exciting. Our favorites included (but were not limited to these because every dish we tried was outstanding): the Ceviche de Coliflor, Queso Fundido, Queso Quemado, Ensalada Verde con Vinagreta de Aguacate, and Beef Tenderloin for 2. You can book the water taxi when you make your reservation online. There is a small fee to go rt. Be sure to have your plans in order as they charge a hefty cancellation fee if you cancel the whole reservation. Two of our party dropped out and I was worried they worked charge us for that, but they didn't. It was a quick water taxi trip over, about 5-10 min. The view was so beautiful as the place was perched up on the cliff side. I got the Alpastor grilled octopus . It was delicious. My husband got the catch of the day which was Mahi Mahi. He said it was the best Mahi Mahi he had ever had. Compliments to the chef and the freshness. The toilet above the restaurant does not have a door or walls, really, but has a great view of ocean. We decided to work off our lunch and hiked back to Boca. It was a fun hike. Steep uphills and down hills. A bit rough terrain but stuff you could hold onto in case you need the help. Be sure to wear sneakers, not flip flops (unless you're 20 and agile). It took us an hour, but I think if we were 40 years younger we could have done it in 35-45 minutes. Some folks that were older than me and less mobile were really really struggling so make sure you feel like you have the physical capacity to climb up a short ladder to get on the dock. It was probably my favorite fish of the trip. The octopus tostada was also delicious, fresh and good quality (not chewy). The service was attentive, the food was well I priced.
