Had the worst experience today. Ordered the enchiladas rancheras with beef. After eating a bit I realized the meat was not cooked all the way. Told the waiter and he said he would go see what he could do about it. After 15 min of waiting for him to come back we got up to leave. Saw our waiter sitting and playing on his phone.. we paid and left. It should have been made right but they didn't care. read more

We won't even discuss the slices of vienna sausage in the charro beans. I mean, damn. But the tacos al pastor? Let's talk about that. Around the beginning of the summer, the pastor started tasting a little gamey....like maybe the hog wasn't so much "butchered" as "run over." The first time I got food poisoning from it should have taught me a lesson. Had the mini tacos what a disappointment may be a spoonful of meat in each taco then I ordered the ground beef tacos, same thing maybe a teaspoon of meat in the tacos. The salsa that came with the chips was basically tomato sauce. When this place first open, the food was hot and plentiful. Every time I've been here it's steadily gotten worse. Do yourself a favor. This is our go to 10/10 best food in town. Whenever we come here my toddler actually sits down and eats without acting up and playing with his food. He's extremely picky and also only likes to eat in quiet, normally restaurants are too overwhelming for him but this place is just perfect. It's quiet and the food is sooooo good. read more

My wife and I tried this place. The salsa tasted like tomato paste. The plate was no better. I won't return. We are cooking tacos and cheese dip and it's better than they ever thought about making. I gave it one star but they don't deserve that. read more

The tortillas and chips were great, but everything else (soft taco with ground beef, beans, and queso) was mediocre.

I've traveled and eaten all over the US and Central America and this is hands down the best and most authentic Mexican food I have found in the US. I feel like I'm back in Mexico City or Guadalajara every time I eat here. Prices are unbelievably reasonable. We had excellent service and food was at our table within 10 minutes of ordering. I've had the fajitas and street tacos and both dishes were awesome. They just added barbacoa tacos, tacos Al pastor, and a few other items to the menu. You even get a free scoop of ice cream for dessert! Strawberry is delicious! read more

Growing up in California Arizona and living in Laredo Texas for too many years may skew my opinion. This food is NOT good. The fajitas were decent but the enchiladas were terrible covered in nasty cheese sauce. The childrens enchilada was incredibly spicy. This has become our "go to" place for good Mexican food in or around Jasper. Great service and the food is plentiful and excellent!! We eat here at least weekly and everything is fresh made and delicious. They don't serve beer or margaritas yet but have apply to do so. Will just be a matter of time! Don't let that stop you!! I've lived around the Austin/San Antonio area for many years and love Mexican food. Really nice to find such good food in Jasper! We showed up in a rainstorm about thirty minutes before closing and they graciously welcomed us in. To be honest, the salsa they brought with the chips had no heat at all and a strong tomato taste, but the chili sauce they brought with my tacos was the real deal! Beef on the tacos was tender and nicely seasoned. 4.5 stars because of the salsa, but 5 star all around otherwise. Oh, and I forgot to mention, the meal included ice cream for dessert!! read more

Simple great food with friendly staff. The food was quick, hot, and tasty! A hidden gem in this small town.

Not sure about the Jasper location but I do not recommend the Newton Texas location when making a pick up order. This was the third time we tried and three strikes and they're out. All three times they have found a way to not get the whole order right and this time when I took the food back to get them to fix the order the gentleman insisted that the way we ordered the food was wrong despite him reading the order back us word for word. They still managed to get the order wrong twice on the same order. The only reason I'm giving two stars is the fries are damn good and when you dine in it's worth it. Like I said don't call in an order and think it's going to be right. read more

We were in town staying from staying at the state park and saw this place was open. We had the Flamingo Fajitas for 2 and my daughter had the quesadilla. The food was excellent and so was the service. The ice cream after was a nice treat. read more

We were just driving through jasper and found this place. It doesn't look like much on the outside but the food was amazing! I had chicken quesadilla and the cheese inside was delicious. My husband had the beef fajitas and there was so much meat he almost couldn't finish them. Definitely would go back if we ever drove through again read more
