They put Freon in my vehicle cause my air conditioner wasn't working. Charged me $145.00 and a couple days later the air was hot again !!!!!!! Obviously there is a leak somewhere and they should hve noticed it when they were putting in the Freon but they of course didn't say ANYTHING! I tried to go back to hve them fix it or at least refill the Freon to last me a couple more days till I took it to a PROFESSIONAL SHOP but the guy said he couldn't do anything!!!!! That it was just gonna leak again! But I was like ok yes precisely there is obviously a leak and I diiiiiiid PAY YOU $145.00 so you should at least refill me to last me a couple more days till I get it professionally fixed !!!!! Mechanic named Jaime was super rude and sarcastic. I'm a women so I am always nervous taking my vehicle to a mechanic in fear that I will get over charged. This guy did exactly that. Told me it would be a little under a grand to fix an oil leak but would not show me where the oil was coming from. I decided to get a second opinion from a shop up the road and he charged me $500 less and showed me exactly where the oil leak came from. read more

I try to support local business and especial Mexican establishments in town but I have to warn my people to stay away from this shop if you don't want to regret getting rip off by this place. The prices he quotes are reasonable because some people dont have enough money to pay expensive mechanical repairs done to their cars, its understandable but you are just short changing yourself for an ugly outcome. This week I stop by to get a quote for my truck the water pump has be replace and I had previously bought the part myself, I ask him how much do you charge to replace my water pump off a 2016 he said I charge an hour $305 for replacing a water pump,I said how many hours is that, He said Im not sure, he had a small computer he started to punch the keys, still didn't give me an answer for a long 5 mins, You think by know he knew, its his shop, not to be rude, I ask him where is your training mechanic certificate that shows you are bond and certify to charge me that much an hour, he go all hot head, by the looks of it none of his mechanics are certify in the shop most of them just change tires but he has them doing mechanical work with no proper training which is why he has many cars that return back from their own failure crap work they do on people cars, after I layout some facts him about be going to other professional shops for a quote, I told him I just drove from the dealership who are certify and train their labor fee per hour are $170 and hour, it takes 2.5 hrs. He walk out. They story is much longer but the bottom line. DO NOT GO THERE save yourself a headache pay the extra to certify mechanics shop, but this Jamie and his shop with all the deceptive scruples shade ripping people off will soon catch up to him. someone will eventually take him to court and shut his place down for good. His clients are mostly Spanish speaking folks I not racist I m myself Latino but they don't know any better, when they hear how cheap it is to get it fix, they will let them do the work without asking the shop, if he is train or certify to do mechanical repairs. I had a window in my car stuck down in the door, I was told by an overpriced shop (*cough Firestone*) that it was the motor and would be $350 to repair (in addition to the $75 to check it.), and that they could do nothing to raise the window at the very least while I wait for the part. I found the part online for a third of the price FS mentioned, and took that part I ordered to El Gato to have it installed. They quoted me $95 for the work, called me later to say the motor was indeed NOT the actual issue and offered to just leave the window up for me while I wait to order the other part needed. They even offered to put in the new part for free since they already charged me for the work. They ended up only charging me $65 to raise the window (and are still offering free service when I get in the correct part). The El Gato employees I interacted with were friendly, helpful, quick to service the vehicle (and raise the window even though FIrestone claimed they couldn't), AND WERE HONEST about the work my car needed. Would recommend them to anyone. Thanks again guys for the help, it's amazing how much you can change a person's day by just being genuinely helpful, and they really saved me that day! read more

Not sure what other people are talking about, but I had GREAT service from 3 different technicians. Went in to get a tire checked and an oil change on a different car. Technician changing oil came to me during service communicating as he went along and recommended me to get a new oil drain plug for $4 next door. Other 2 technicians with tires communicated as well and showed me issue. Took care of cars, handled with care, and charged me $25 for oil change, $20 to fix the one tire, and $5 each other three tires just to ensure they were good to go. They are open Saturdays AND Sundays!! As well as weekdays. My battery died and I was able to purchase my battery at the NAPA across the parking lot from them and they walked over and installed it. My 2014 jeep Cherokee decided to break the day I was supposed to travel out of town (Thursday) . I would give this place a 0 if I could. The people who work here are the most unprofessional, inexperienced, disrespectful jerks I've ever met. I took my mother's car here for them to fix 2 problems. After almost 2 weeks of them having the car, they fixed the original problems HOWEVER they created new issues. Her airbag light is on, half of the buttons on her steering wheel don't work, and the horn is broken. We paid El Gato $600 and ended up having to pay another $600 to have someone else fix the issues they created. Basically, Martin (the mechanic who worked on the car) broke the clock spring. The person we hired to fix their mess could only fix a small portion of the damage they created. Now we have to take it to a dealership and the diagnostic alone is going to be $270 maybe more. When I brought this up to the manage Jaime he claimed he wouldn't contact the owner of the shop and when we told him about the new issues we found before we even drove off of the lot, he said he would charge ANOTHER diagnostic fee to find the issues that his staff created. My mother is on a fixed income and is disabled. They target old people and women to screw to over and create problems ON PURPOSE to get you to spend more money. My brother was given a 65.00 quote but charged 200.00 for a clutch cable repair. The owner of the business told her daughter she didn't remember what she quoted and conveniently was not there. When asked when the owner would be back "shes gone for the day". Also they performed worked that was not requested!!!! Cut his exhaust pipe then charged to repair it! The woman at the counter told him she thought he was going to get some leaks fixed(therefore they cut the pipe w/o permission) then charged him to weld it back on. I would suggest avoiding this business but if you choose to get quotes in writing. It would appear that amnesia is a recurring illness here! read more
