Came for dinner around 8 pm and we were seated promptly. Servers are attentive here. Food is pretty solid. You get large portions for similar prices in SGV area. Only one we didn't like was the cauliflower with the shrimp paste, it was too salty and not really special. Recommend giving this place a try.

    Afternoon tea special

Stopped by Delicious Food Corner for their afternoon tea special and it was a really solid deal. The set comes with a good variety -- classic Hong Kong-style milk tea, toast, and snacks that hit the comfort-food spot perfectly. The milk tea was smooth and strong without being overly sweet, and the toast was nicely crisp with a generous topping. Service was quick and efficient even during a busy afternoon rush, and the casual cha chaan teng vibe makes it a great place to relax or catch up with friends. Portions are filling for the price, which makes the special feel like great value. Definitely a go-to spot when craving a classic Hong Kong afternoon tea set in the SGV.

    Pork and Preserved Egg Congee

I really enjoy their congee, and I usually get their pork with preserved egg. You can tell it's been slow cooked for a long while to make the right porridge consistency. It's just a comforting dish to have. I love that it comes with a drink and a side of your choice with three options. I usually get the rice noodles. I also enjoy their pineapple and butter buns. It's a nice offset from the savory congee. I also really enjoy their HK coffee and milk tea. This particular location is much louder than the one I usually go to but the food is solid, and the service is good. I highly recommend.

This place was quite loud, but I enjoyed the loudness! Ordering the congee/soup during the times of 9-11:30 is a great deal!! That alone was a large amount of food! This place was great! All the food was very tasty! Id love to come back and try more of their menu! Service was impeccable!

Parking - lots of parking in the area! Service - My family came for dinner on a weekday. I took a point off for service because they are just so slow. There were two other parties eating as we came in and got seated. There were two other tables that were still dirty and needed to be cleaned. There were two employees serving tables. Not sure about the cooks in the back but this place seems to prioritize to-go orders! We were constantly trying to wave the server down to get their attention but he was too busy packing to go orders. Food was also just okay. Good but nothing special. Not as flavourful as it used to be. But still enjoyable! I definitely will come back though just because it's convenient.

The rice roll was a big improvement from my last visit. The food at the other location went downhill and I went back to this Rosemead location. It was a big improvement. The rice roll was delicious and the congee was good too. The hot milk tea has a new tea taste which I found surprisingly good. The service is attentive and easy to find parking.

Service is as good as it can get for a Chinese restaurant. They're diligent in refilling drinks, but when you need them for something else like napkins, or the check, it might take em' awhile. Place was clean and was a good size. Came on a Thursday night and half the tables were filled up They have a lot of specials here: weekday dinner specials, lunch specials, and even "Tea Time special" which is during 3-5 - kinda like a happy hour but with tea! With only a few minutes left before 5, I ordered the Salt and Pepper wings which is a 2/5. The wings were mostly seasoned with salt, and there wasn't that salt and pepper taste. It wasn't super crispy either, so I suspect they weren't made to order. Definitely had better. For 8.99 of 8 wings plus a free drink (your choice of milk tea, lemon tea, red bean ice, and there might've been one more drink I cannot recall)-- it's not bad! Got the Seafood Chow Mein and the French Style Fish Fillet from the 2 for $32 menu -- which also included an appetizer and we chose the Pineapple butter buns. These are full portions.

8oz. NY Steak, French Style Fish Fillet

TLDR: It's good food that's made better if you lean in on the special of the day. House Special Fish Paste (fish ball) and Lettuce Noodle Soup: It's the option for people who want to avoid meat but want something that can be filling. I wasn't the biggest fan of their fish paste that they balled up, but I know people who'll love it. The noodles were beautifully made and the soup was a light broth that's perfect for a cold day. 8oz. NY Steak: Do you trust a Chinese restaurant to make a medium rare cut of NY strip? No, but the deal is hard to beat. They gave it to us medium to medium well. The meat was seasoned with salt and pepper, which was enough for me to not complain about the blandness. The gravy was a good touch just in case things got dry in the end, and the veggies are just boiled, which the gravy would augment as well. French Style Fish Fillet: Easily the best bite of the night. I'm yet to figure out what the flavor profile of a "French Style" is, but all the Chinese restaurants that I've been to have agreed how it should taste, and I am a fan. It's salty, sweet, and generally full of umami. I'd implore people to try it. The fish was cooked well, and the rice was a important since the French Style flavor profile is on the stronger end. Chicken Wings: They deep fried chicken wings.... it's good. I don't mind working with the 4 they gave us as a side dish. It's not the star of the show, nor does it have to be. Ambiance: It's your classic Hong Kong inspired Chinese restaurant with the TVs, higher noise levels, and the general fast pacing. I have nothing against it. Service: It's fine. I know people always have a bone to pick against Chinese restaurant service, but I think the secret is to curb your expectations. You're there to eat, not to get pampered.

Stir fried black pepper udon with beef
    Ivy C.

The food is good. They have good lemon iced tea here and red bean ice. Wonton noodle soup was good, with HK style thin noodles and fresh wontons. The beef black pepper udon was not as big and I am assuming b/c of the afternoon tea menu, but it was stir fried and good. The chicken wings could be better elsewhere, this is because it was garnished with lots of green onion in the end but it wasn't fried along with it. It would be more aromatic if we can see some oil and cooked green onions with the chicken wings. The chicken was cooked well but it was definitely air fried instead of oil fried taste and look. The afternoon tea menu I get that it is dine in, but their dinner specials should be togo too. They did not note on menu that it is only for dine in for the dinner specials, they should update that. I only knew because that was what the server said.

    Seafood Chow Mein ($15.75)

Delicious Cantonese food! We came for a late lunch on a Sunday around 1:30PM and this place was still packed which is always a good sign! Waited a few minutes for a table and the 4 of us shared the following dishes: HK style pineapple bun with butter (5/5): the pineapple bun was warm, perfectly soft and fluffy, not too sweet and the butter wasn't too salty! Deep fried cod fillet with spicy salt (5/5): this was my favorite- crispy and so much flavor. I would definitely reorder! Salty fish chicken fried rice (5/5): a classic well-done, not overly salty and the rice is moist Seafood chow mein (4/5): good but I've had better- I thought the sauce was a little bland. Generous toppings All in all, huge portions, delicious food and affordable prices. I will definitely come back next time I'm in the 626!

We checked out the Rosemead Moon Festival last Saturday, and we bought some food at the festival, but we were still hungry during dinner time. We went to the Delicious Food Corner (DFC), the one in Rosemead. We've tried many DFC locations, and we were satisfied at this location. We ordered their dinner specials (from 3 p.m. until they close), which included 1 appetizer, and we picked Chicken Wings with Spicy Salt (4 pieces). There are 2 options for you to choose from for dinner specials. You can choose any 2 full-size entrees for $28 or 2 full-size entrees for $32. We picked seasonal vegetables with beef, and sweet & sour pork. We also ordered baked seafood with mushrooms in Cream Sauce from the Baked Rice/Pasta menu ($15.95). The service was efficient and fast, and the portions were big. We liked baked seafood with mushrooms in Cream Sauce. It was delicious and we finished it all. The chicken wings with spicy salt were addictive. The flavor of both entrees was also great. We had some left over for to-go.

Delicious Cantonese food that my Cantonese family enjoyed! We came for a late lunch around 1:30 pm on a Sunday and it was still packed! There was a good amount of tables so we were seated soon. Our party of 4 shared the following dishes: -HK style pineapple bun with butter (5/5): I love pineapple buns so this was tasty, warm and soft, not too sweet and the butter wasn't too salty and added a nice contrast! -Salty fish chicken fried rice (5/5): very well seasoned, perfectly flavorful without being too salty, rice was nicely moist -Seafood chow mein (4/5): comes with lots of seafood and veggies, sauce was a bit bland but dish was still pretty good -Deep fried cod fillet with spicy salt (5/5): delicious, crispy, and nicely flavorful and not overly salty Portions were also huge that we were all stuffed and had leftovers. Prices were very reasonable for the huge portions and delicious food, I would come back if I'm in the area!

    Pork and Preserved Egg Congee
    Karen T.

This is a Hong Kong style cafe. We came for breakfast and had the pork and preserved egg congee, house special minced pork vermicelli soup, and the chicken with eggs and toast with hot milk tea. For sides, we had the pineapple buns and the dried shrimp rice rolls. I have found that I usually enjoy the sides and milk tea more than the entree items. The vermicelli soup was a new menu item but I thought it was pretty salty and a strange combination. I would not get that again. Overall a decent spot for breakfast. Service was fine keeping in mind that this is an Asian restaurant.

Knowing what I know now as I write this review, we would return & bring friends here. It's about 78 to 80°F on a Friday a few minutes before 1 pm, surprisingly, it was low key--only a couple tables taken indoors by patrons and a set of guys on the patio. At the door, it said to seat ourselves & I immediately shot to the patio. The set up: once seated, the server comes with menus, you order & it's a sit down meal. Giselle was our friendly & attentive server, young & attentive. Hubby ordered the breakfast burrito ($11.50) & I opted for build your own omelette $11.50 for a 3 egg omelette & choice of two items- mushroom and bell peppers accompanied with breakfast potatoes, and chilaquiles ($13.99) to share. The patio seating is fresh, airy, there are tables, outdoor furnitures (sofas) and bright orange umbrellas for shade. My photos captured these elements. The food arrived shortly, although not all at once. I didn't mind it all because the ambiance was so soothing with the sound of birds chirping away and the background of other patrons talking. The only complaint from Hubby was too many pototo chunks in his burrito. My omelette was hot, fresh ingredients, delectable & the potatoes were mixed with 3 colors of bellpeppers. Oh and the chilaquiles? Pretty darn good! The tortilla chips were crispy, perfect amount of green salsa, freshly diced onions & a sprinkling of cotija cheese. Was I famished or was it that good that I devoured everything? What's left was Hubby's potato chunk discards. Giselle returned a few times to ensure our experience is to our satisfaction & another staff also stopped by to check on us. Such a perfect meal & day-- I'm so happy with this visit.
