There are several locations, but I like the one in Rosemead the best. I've eaten here many times and never once had a bad experience. We arrived at 8:00 pm on Saturday. The place was empty, understandably they close at 9:00 pm. I ordered seafood chow mein (pan fried with gravy) and HK style sweet and sour pork ribs. Both did not disappoint. This is one of those, great value dining places (at least for the breakfast/brunch menu). I didn't study the rest of the menu(s). We came during brunch hours on Mother's Day. We immediately got seated. Mind you, this isn't the type of place were you sit, enjoy your meal, and have a comfortable conversation. This restaurant is all about moving volume. Eat, be nice to the staff, and leave! Their take out business was off the charts during our stay. The staff was working their tails off to keep everything in order. Much respect there! This place is a really hometown pleasure for me. I don't come for amazing foods or Devore but more to feel like I'm at home. The food here is good and all the cafe foods I grew up eating are here. You can't go wrong with some nice hot soup and a fried rice. But I think I love the bustling atmosphere that is here. I really enjoy their congee, and I usually get their pork with preserved egg. You can tell it's been slow cooked for a long while to make the right porridge consistency. It's just a comforting dish to have. I love that it comes with a drink and a side of your choice with three options. I usually get the rice noodles. I also enjoy their pineapple and butter buns. Parking - lots of parking in the area! Service - My family came for dinner on a weekday. I took a point off for service because they are just so slow. There were two other parties eating as we came in and got seated. There were two other tables that were still dirty and needed to be cleaned. There were two employees serving tables. Not sure about the cooks in the back but this place seems to prioritize to-go orders! The noodles were beautifully made and the soup was a light broth that's perfect for a cold day. 8oz. NY Steak: Do you trust a Chinese restaurant to make a medium rare cut of NY strip? No, but the deal is hard to beat. They gave it to us medium to medium well. The meat was seasoned with salt and pepper, which was enough for me to not complain about the blandness. The gravy was a good touch just in case things got dry in the end, and the veggies are just boiled, which the gravy would augment as well. French Style Fish Fillet: Easily the best bite of the night. I'm yet to figure out what the flavor profile of a "French Style" is, but all the Chinese restaurants that I've been to have agreed how it should taste, and I am a fan. It's salty, sweet, and generally full of umami. I'd implore people to try it. The fish was cooked well, and the rice was a important since the French Style flavor profile is on the stronger end. Chicken Wings: They deep fried chicken wings.... it's good. I don't mind working with the 4 they gave us as a side dish. It's not the star of the show, nor does it have to be. The beef black pepper udon was not as big and I am assuming b/c of the afternoon tea menu, but it was stir fried and good. The chicken wings could be better elsewhere, this is because it was garnished with lots of green onion in the end but it wasn't fried along with it. It would be more aromatic if we can see some oil and cooked green onions with the chicken wings. The chicken was cooked well but it was definitely air fried instead of oil fried taste and look. There are 2 options for you to choose from for dinner specials. You can choose any 2 full-size entrees for $28 or 2 full-size entrees for $32. We picked seasonal vegetables with beef, and sweet & sour pork. We also ordered baked seafood with mushrooms in Cream Sauce from the Baked Rice/Pasta menu ($15.95). I've been to several Delicious Food Corners in LA, and all of them have been consistent in their delivery of amazing food. I've actually been to Rosemead's DFC on several occasions but apparently I never wrote a review of the place. So here is my long overdue review. I go to the DFC in Rosemead about once a month for brunch, typically on week days. There is typically a 10 minute wait because it's so popular. I love their rice rolls with sesame sauce. Their instant noodles have extra sesame oil flavor and go amazingly with eggs and spam. The Hong Kong style zhajiangmian and baked pork chop rice are highlights for me. Every DFC is amazing and I recommend people go to at least one. read more

I totally forgot to get my card back because I wasn't feeling well. The waiter also totally forgot to give my card back. The ham macaroni is packed well, and they always include the right amount of soup so that when I add the mac to it, it doesn't overflow. The milk tea already comes with condensed milk on the bottom, so there's no need for additional sugar and it's the perfect sweetness.
