Found this place through Yelp and I'm very glad I did! Another great find. Thank you fellow yelpers! The restaurant is located in a strip mall near Albertsons grocery store. Admitingly I was surprised by the hole in the wall standing of this place but don't let that fool you, the food here is delicious. I came here with my BF yesterday and I'm still thinking about what I want to get next time I come here it was that good! Service was great very prompt. Our waitress was very friendly. This was our first time eating Peruvian food and we kept showing her pictures off Yelp. She was very patient and accommodating. Apparently many people use the pictures on here as a guide in what to order lol the only draw back is that there are specials that are only available on the weekends but that just makes me want to comeback and try them when they're available so I guess their marketing is working lol Everything here is fresh and made to order. We started off the meal with an appetizer. I forget what it was called (huacain I think?) but it was some type of potatoes with a yellow sauce that looked like hollandaise sauce but tasted much better. We devoured it in seconds. I was surprised at how good it was. For the main courses we got the lomo Saltado and the jalea. Both were very good and flavorful. I liked the jalea better but the lomo was still good. The seafood here is really good and fresh. I think it's the highlight of this restaurant. We also got some sort of ceviche muscles which were excellent. Just the right amount of lemon flavor. After dinner we got a dessert recommended by our waitress lucama ice cream with this really good cake so good! All in all my experience at El Incomparable was excellent and definitely left me wanting more. I'm glad I went outside my comfort zone and tried something new. I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu. If you're hesitant about coming here don't be. It's definitely worth giving a try :) read more

My first time trying Peruvian food, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, and perfectly seasoned and prepared. I love finding cuisine that isn't greasy and heavy, but still tasty. fish ceviche: 5/5- very unique, with a strong sour/vinegar like taste, it's quite addicting. Great as a side or appetizer. Cau cau de pollo: 4/5- chicken and potatoes marinated in a creamy sauce, that's not overwhelming, delicious over rice. Lomo Saltado: 5/5- the steak was perfectly marinated, juicy, and tender. Great dish. Note: -it's a tiny restaurant, and it's always packed. Service is slow, but the wait is worth it. read more

Ordered the lomo saltada to go. Took about 10 minutes while they made it fresh. Very good portion with lots of meat and potatoes. Restaurant is in a shopping center so not an issue for parking. Everyone was extremely nice. Small restaurant with a few tables so not sure how packed it can get since I went on after lunchtime. Family run restaurant so good food, good service. This has to be one of the most untrustworthy, disrespectful most unprofessional restaurant in Reseda!! I went back to get a refund from the two ceviches I bought which were completely tasteless and the fish was completely raw and the two people who work there (the cook and the server) refused to give me a refund but wanted to force me to get another ceviche instead! I asked many times and provided them with reasons why I didn't want the food and they said "Well the manager isn't here and we don't know the password for refunds" But when I asked them to put their manager on the phone they refused to do so but wouldn't stop with the whole "take another ceviche" and stating that the fish was good! I am originally from Peru and I know how the ceviche is made and how it's suppose to look but yet they told me that I was wrong? I don't have anything against Mexicans or Salvadorans but how dare you tell me how the food from my country is made? That makes you sound ignorant. Never ever going again to this place I should of just stick to the Other peruvian restaurant. I was craving some ceviche and I decided to try this restaurant for the time. I was surprised to see how small the place was. Later after ordering I went to wash my hands in the bathroom and I was disgusted from the mold on the walls and there wasn't any paper towels in the bathroom. I had their Pollo a lo pobre. Generous amount of food. Everything it had was delicious. Their garlic rice is some of the best I've had. Their chicken was juicy, their plantains were very sweet and their fried potatoes are thick and cooked well. The fried potatoes aren't crispy, but go extremely well with the meal. Drove to Reseda from Venice to go to the bank. I stopped by El Incomparable Peruvian Cuisine and was super blown away. the ingredients are super fresh and authentic. The special sauce, is such a unique flavor! The corn is different, real Peruvian corn. The service was amazing, and had such a great conversation with the chef, Guido! you can tell he loves what he does and makes this food with love. First time here, so glad I came! Place is small, maybe about 9 tables mostly for two people. Came in and immediately greeted by the nice lady. Sat down immediately. The lady was very friendly and sweet. My husband ordered the traditional beef lomo saltado and I got the tallerin saltado beef noodle dish. They give you complementary bread while you wait. The food is freshly cooked to order. You can see the cook from the front, which is nice to see how your food is being prepared and know it's fresh! I loved my noodle dish! Only con I would say is the beef being a little too tough, over cooked. I don't mind since I'm pregnant and feel safer knowing my beef is not red which is not safe if your pregnant. Just wanted to mention it if you like your meat medium or medium well let them know before hand. The lomo saltado was also a yummy choice! You can never go wrong with that dish. First time here and the food was delicious! Ordered the lomo saltado and it was so juicy and full of flavor. The chicha morada was also really good. The restaurant was also really clean and well kept making it comfortable for a meal. A little bit more attentiveness from the staff would've given it 5 stars but overall it was a great experience. Ordered food from here via Eat24. I think they're still new to the delivery scene because they don't update the status of your order at all. We had two orders of Lomo Saltado a Lo Pobre and a bottle of Coke. I was two cents away from the delivery minimum so I figured I'd add a bottle of Coke to my order and my husband wanted soda. Our estimated delivery time was 6:27 and I got a call at 6:28 because they couldn't find our apartment. Once we received our order, we noticed that the Coke was missing. I notified Eat24 and they took care of it right away. Our food was good. It was big enough that we had leftovers for the following day. It was nothing special looking at the restaurant outside, my daughter even questioned if we should go in or not. Place is small with couple tvs and paintings on the wall . When we came in , nice waiter (Daniel) greeted us with big smile :) Kitchen is wide open and you can see how crystal clean it is. We ordered ceviche, special potato plate, shrimp stir fry, tamales, and a special dessert with cake and ice cream. The ceviche was the best I have ever tried! $60 bill ! Super happy !! The food is very good and so are the crew. i made my to go order through yelp/ grub hub but when I arrived they said there was no order placed. Apparently they canceled the contract with yelp yet i was still able to place my order but did not get charged. After replacing the order in person at the restaurant the chef had my 3 lomo saltados and mixed ceviche ready in under 15 minutes. I will be back but next time order over the phone. read more

I ordered the chicken (lol ) the pollo soltado and it was AMAZING. Seriously moist chicken, tastes like someone's mother or grandmother made it and that is the ultimate compliment. I got the it with a side of fried potatoes aka fries and and fried plantains. Fried plantains are bomb and the fries could have used another minute in the fryer and a dash of salt but they are thick cut real potatoes. For example: Olive G. Has almost the same prices as you. Exceptional service, always someone there to help you, and the environment it's always outstanding. Yesterday as I was dining at your restaurant.. We realized the front door was some how Brocken, Almost every single costumer had to get up and closed the door.. Coz it was raining and cold. I hate to see Peruvian restaurants closed there doors. If you want to charge this high prices then you want to re-consider our point of view. Or lower your prices to match up the services you provide. Be open to suggestions.. Take pride on what you do.. Greet everyone with a smile, even if you had a bad day. I have lived in this area for a long time and have stopped in this shopping center too many times to count but never have been adventurous enough to try this place. This is my first time trying this restaurant and Peruvian food period. The restaurant isn't that big but it is comfortable. There was great customer service and food was made fast! I let my boyfriend choose what to order on the menu and I was reluctant but excited to try something new! We ordered an appetizer which was the papa a la huancaino and the beef lomo saltado for the main entree. The food was absolutely delicious and flavored perfectly. I loved the Asian flavors that was infused into the meal, gave the food an extra exotic appeal. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know and I will be back to try other items on the menu soon. Shout out to Yugor for the recommendation to try Peruvian food. read more

I feel awful giving only two stars. They were very nice people and the restaurant was clean and everything. Maybe I was trying too hard to go out of my comfort zone to try something unfamiliar to me. Peruvian food was something that never piqued my interest in the past, so I thought today would be the day to try it I made my order right here on Yelp. I ordered a Tamale and something called, Fettucine con Picante de Mariscos. It is described as, Fettucine pasta, crema de leche, sweet cream, shrimp, calamari, garlic and yellow aji. I requested NO calamari in my order. I picked-up the order and was extrememly dissatisfied when I came home and opened it up. Not only was there calamari in the pasta, but a LOT of it. There were several other interesting creatures in there as well. Five headless octupus with tenticles and little sucker things on them. They were purple stiff headless octupus, (or is it octipi ?) There were a couple of shells with some stiff rubber thing attached to the inside shell, 2 shrimp and a million calamari rubberbands. Thick chewless rubberbands. My cats couldnt even bite through the calamari it was so rubbery. I would have NEVER ordered this if I had known that it included all of these sea creatures. The description did not mention them. Those pieces of calamari were literally the same size of Lego truck tires with the same consistency. On top of all that crap, it was extremely, extremely salty. In fact, everything had way too much salt. Even the sliced onions with cut lime that came in a seperate container had a crap load of salt. I dont know why onions amd lime would have salt, particularly, that much salt on them. The other item ordered was a Tamale. You really can't go wrong with a tamale, right? Well, it turns out that you can go wrong... If you order them from this place. It was wrapped beautifully in a banana leaf and steamed to purfection. Tied up with a little string and all kinds of goodies inside, like corn, a black olive, chicken, thankfully no octopus..... But, it too had a fucking shit load of salt. Believe me, I am not a health nut who is opposed to salt. I am quite the opposite, so when I think something is too salty, its way too salty. Believe me. That was my experience. I am in no way trying to bad mouth this cute little place. I just did not enjoy the salty sea creature pasta. I wish the menu described it clearly for people like me. I also wished they had followed my instructions to NOT include calamari. I hope that someone that works there will read this and consider lowering the salt in the food. It was almost unedible. The tamale would have beem perfect, if not for the salt. read more

Last night I was starving and stumbled upon the new El Incomparable Peruvian on Topanga Blvd. If I new it was the "El Incomparable" I would have walked out. I was with two friends and did not want to make a fuss. A month prior I tried the location in Reseda. My husband and I walked in and were so excited to try the lomo saltado. Being Peruvian, it is one of my favorites. We waited at least 25 minutes but I kept telling my husband it will be well worth the wait. Well what a big disappointment. The beef was so tough we both looked like cows trying to chew it down. I immediately asked for the waiter to let him know that it was seriously and not at all chewable. If we can switch it for the pollo saltado. "He replied, No and asked us to leave " We were appalled!!! He did not even apologize nor offer to make it better. I do not know about any of you but my money does not grow on trees and when I go out to eat I want to enjoy it. I am not a picky eater but I will not pay for something I cannot even chew. Last night at the new Location I ordered pollo allá brasa. One whole chicken with sides. It was 6pm and was told it would take 45 Minutes. I said, "what?"she explained that they had just sold the four chickens that they made for the night to one customer. And have just put two More in if I wanted to wait. "I replied,just two?" As we sat there disappointed and in disbelief that they only rotisserie 4 chickens at a time or two. Why advertise delicious chicken and not produce enough? As we pondered over what else to order, we witness 4 different customers leave because they had no CHICKEN allá brasa. I split a chicken saltado with one friend and my other friend ordered the tallarín verde con Milanesa de pollo. The pollo saltado was good but barely enough chicken for the price. And mind you, four strips of fries. For what it cost? The other order was a joke. Chicken milanesa were chicken nuggets. Not at all representing our delicious Peruvian cuisine. It should be a thin slice a chicken pounded flat like a steak breaded and seasoned to perfection. The spaghetti had no flavor that my none Peruvian friend asked to have it re tossed in the skillet and add some salt. It was simply horrible. (No Season) It tasted the same when it was returned. She did not even eat it. It was plain to see she did not like it but the waitress had the galls to ask if we wanted it packed up. REALLY? Not a good server at all. We paid for it and left her a nice gratuity. The way the owners run this establishment is not the servers fault. I would be embarrassed to be in her shoes representing this restaurant. My friend was in desperate need of a restroom. We were told they did not have one. We then noticed a sloppy-written note, stating no public restrooms. We asked for warm bread and were told they do not offer bread at this location. When we were done with our meal an hour and 15 minutes into it we were asked if we then wanted the pollo allá brasa. I am Peruvian. I pride myself that Peru has won in the last several years, number one in gastronomy. But this restaurant is the worst example of what real Peruvian cuisine is all about. The owner should order takeout in disguise from each location to taste what kind of food is being produced out of their kitchens. I wish you luck. But if you know the statistics in the food business. You like a place you tell maybe 3-5 friends. You dislike a place you tell a 100. I have been in the food business for 22 years and my business is still going strong and grows daily. I have Never advertised. It makes a BIG difference when you are a on hand owner operator. I highly do not recommend this restaurant. There are much better Peruvian restaurants to try. Another point that was not at all desirable is that there is a huge refrigerator in the dining room. A back room that is exposed to dining that it makes it undesirable to eat staring at buckets and dirty mops and towels. I am embarrassed that this establishment represents our delicious food in such a manner. I would not recommend a Peruvian to dine here let alone a none Peruvian. Drove from Malibu after after having a horrible experience last night in Santa monica @ this restauranrt where me and my husband sent back 2 plates. This restaurant.. AMAZING.. I know my peruvian food and this chef guido was incredible. I am not into battered seafood but after seeing pics on line and the waitress assuring me it was like no other dish like that I have tried.. I went for it!!! THE BEST EVER- CEVICHE WAS INCREDIBLE TOO- EVERYTHING HERE @ THIS RESTAURANT IS TOP NOTCH, FRESH, NOT FROZEN - YOU WILL BE HAPPY WITH EVERY BITE..! More choices on weekends.. but this is a gran opening and I am sure they are here to stay for 100 years or more :)) read more
