love poke in any form and it's nice that pokitomik serves it in 3! you can get a bowl, burrito, or tacos and they will all be good (yes I've tried them all)! the bowl is standard and filling. the burrito is fun and v pic-worthy. but my fav has to be the tacos! the crisp tempura shell w the fish + toppings go so well together! it can get messy, but so worth it! the fish has always been fresh from what I've tasted but I also only get salmon so I can only speak on that... the sweet salmon was p good but since I'm adding sauce on at the end, I feel like it's too much I also love the variety of toppings they offer as a person who loves fruits & hot Cheetos in their poke bowl! they also don't skimp on their portions from my experience which is a bonus! def a solid poke spot for me. Came across Pokitomik while passing through the Northridge area. On the outside it appears very hole in the wall and the inside space is tight. I figured out later that this is actually a chain with multiple locations. Went with the regular bowl with includes three proteins and runs about $18. The options are kind of limited. They had tuna and salmon in different varieties, but that was about it. They do have a good selection of add ins and the portions are generous. The sauce offerings also seemed limited with the only spicy options being the habanero mango and a chili lime, which did not seem appealing. I went with the garlic ponzu which was fine. Came here to enjoy some needed poke and the staff was very helpful. It's a pretty straightforward way to order and you choose between a Regular and a Large bowl. I love the ingredients in this poke spot because they taste pretty fresh. The spicy tuna I got was nicely marinated and tasted soft and chewy. I enjoy the dry onion seasoning with the furikake. The rice was nicely sticky and the spicy mayo sauce paired well with my dish. It was pretty chilly inside, but it makes sense since they keep their food items cold. I enjoy the variety of choices to choose from and make my own bowl. If you put in your phone number too, you can get some coupons or discounts with rewards. I overheard Austin making an inappropriate joke about a customer, which was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable to hear. I asked one of the girls who worked here what his name was so I could write about this on here. Regardless of whether he thought it was funny, employees--especially managers--should know better than to make inappropriate comments about customers. Two items I selected are excellent - The shell of the Taco is crispy and ingredients I selected are very fresh. Burrito is also super fresh and tasty with two of six sauces I selected. Oh my goodness sushi taco and burrito yes PLEASE!!!! First off I prefer rolls with soy paper because I find seaweed overwhelms the flavor of sashimi so I was SO happy they had a soy wrap option! The fish and the veggies were all excellent quality I got two different fresh tuna's. I don't even eat hot Cheetos normally but I sure did put them on the outside of this wrap and what a delightful little extra flavor of salt and spice for this. I very much enjoyed the salmon taco as well. I am glad that this is nearby a work spot that I have to go to from time to time because this is such an excellent treat basically eating a ginormous sushi roll and tartares to go (the tacos) . I love all of the topping choices, onions and avocado and crispy, garlic and cucumbers to name a few. Great sauces too- wasabi cream, jalapeños cram cheese, chili lime and mango yuzu to name a few! I read on another Yelp post of another Pokitomik location that this Northridge spot is the best one of all so I'm glad I nailed it on my first try picking this one ha. Honestly, one of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant. The manager, Austin, was extremely unprofessional and rude. His attitude made the whole experience uncomfortable, and he did not seem to care about treating customers with basic respect. He had his daughter running around and yelling disturbing the customers which i think is unprofessional and not good parenting. Management should be about making customers feel welcome and handling situations professionally, and that was definitely not the case here. I would not recommend this place based on my experience with the management. read more

I had their sushi burrito and it was a little on the blander side but that's totally my fault as I didn't ask for any sauce to be added. Ordering is like Subway/Chipotle style so they make everything to order. Their interior is cute with an Instagramable background for photo ops. Their service is good as well. They were patient with me as I've never ordered here in person before and always get a little flustered when ordering this way. And also I had asked her to repeat herself more than once lol. I frequent the PokiTomik in Thousand Oaks and have had great experiences there so I was hoping the same here but was only met with disappointment and underwhelming food. My first impression was from the passive aggressive service by the girl in a slicked back bun who made my bowl. She went straight to looking like she did not want to be here at all with a dull face. The store was completely empty with the exception of occasional delivery drivers so given that I would expect a better welcoming and service. I ordered at the kiosk and upon receiving my bowl I was met with a blunt "Here you are" to which I replied with a smile and a "Thank you!" and got no acknowledgment back, just a blank stare and a quick turn around. Then she went straight to the back to go chat with her other coworkers. Aside from this encounter my bowl just tasted like trash. It tasted exactly like what I'd expect from an employee who doesn't care about their job. My poke was salty and drenched in soy sauce, depsite me putting mild marination, and the rice was mushy. I got half rice half greens and the greens were not only nonexistent but drowned out by all the sauce. The ratio of everything was off and tasted like it was made in a rush. That combined with the service, I will not be here again read more
