I was looking for good old fashioned Mexican and not the fluff that you get with most taquerias and Texmex joints now. It's not a but fancy when you walk in but the place is packed. That's because it is authentic and really good. I got a steak, carnitas, and Tinga(chicken) taco supreme and they truly taste like Mexican street tacos. I strongly suggest you try them...you won't be disappointed. On top of that, all of the sauces and salsas leave you wishing you could buy a bottle to go! Walked in on a Saturday night. Crowded, but the manager (owner?) gave us three seats at the counter (literally overlooking the cook in the kitchen) as an option instead of waiting. Service was quick, efficient and always available. Small, cramped but the seats at the counter provided an amazing view of the food prep - which was every bit as good as the food we had. Yum! Great Mexican food and friendly staff. Our girls take Spanish in school, so they try to order in Spanish and the staff always helps them. The fish tacos are my favorite but so are the burritos. El Limon in Conshohocken is the perfect spot if you are in the mood for some good, cheap Mexican food. One downside is that you might have to wait a bit for a table. On the bright side, you can order a ton of food and when the bill comes, you won't be complaining. Their burrito bowls are delicious and large. Authentic Mexican food prepared within eyeshot. We ordered lunch and then decided to add nachos which were amazing and very filling, loaded with fresh guacamole. Each of us ordered different, traditional dishes -- enchiladas, a burrito and tacos (although I would have preferred the wheat over corn taco) and loved them. The wait staff was attentive but not too much. The small seating area could use a little sprucing but in a way, it adds to the experience of really great food at a less than expected place. The tacos /meat selection here is pretty good. I love their al pastor tacos so much, and the tinga are pretty good. KEEP IN MIND: They always mess up Take-Out orders. I have never ordered take-out and they got everything correct. Just today I ordered al pastor "supreme" and checked it quickly. However the "supreme" means lettuce, tomato, cheese and sour cream which hid that they gave me steak. I don't eat steak for personal reasons but was too far away to go back by that time, and had to just give it away. Do not order take-out from them unless you really are okay with everything on their menu because you will not get what you ordered. read more
