We tried two kinds of ceviche and a shrimp taco. the ceviche with mango - it was good but was lacking lime and citrus flavor but overall the choices of seafood was greatly balanced with the red onion and tomato and all. 3 Amigos ceviche - this was really nicely done with the zest, citrus flavor and the combo of all i ingredients. it just happened to be a tad on the saltier side ( may have been just today's batch that had too much salt). Really enjoyed that both ceviches did come with good amount of crunchy tostada. We also tried the shrimp taco. Food truck only open from 12-7. They have covered area with picnic tables and decent parking. All of the food was really good but the stand out dishes for me were the Baja tacos. 1 per order but they were crispy and had a nice fish portion. The seafood tower was really large and the seafood was fresh. the mango ceviche was another top favorite. It was a little different than the other ceviches since it had the fresh mango and the sushi grade tuna. The soup lacked a lot flavor it was probably our least favorite dish. This place is a solid 3 for me. I came here hoping to find flavors similar to what I grew up with back home--west of the San Bernardino Mountains--but this wasn't it. At first, I was excited when I pulled up and saw the word "Sinaloense" on the truck, but the taste didn't match the promise. They don't even offer house-made salsas--just bottled hot sauces. As some reviews already mention, the food lacks flavor. Yes, the portions are generous and you'll leave full, but it's not enjoyable when the food is bland and you're constantly swatting away flies. I was craving aguachile after having it a few months ago in San Diego. I found this truck after some googling, and the aguachile here didn't quite hit the mark for me, but that's ok. There's a small parking lot adjacent to the seating area, behind the white food truck. There are two of them, one white and one blue. This is honestly probably the nicest food truck set up I've seen in Austin. Dedicated parking lot and structured covered seating. They played music really loudly. We didn't mind the music, but we minded the volume. We thought it could've been turned down a few steps. Food was served quickly after ordering. Service was good! We ordered a full order of aguachile camaron y callo (shrimp and scallops), rojo. That was a mistake lol we should've done verde. I normally like spicy food, but this was so spicy for me that if there were any other flavors, the spice covered it all. I'm actually not sure if there was anything else beyond the sour and spice, though. I was expecting more flavor, like what we'd had in San Diego, but that's not what we got. And after five or so bites, I couldn't taste anything other than spice. The ceviche was good, but I think it had too many onions and tomatoes. There didn't seem to be a balance between the ratio of ingredients. My bf got the baja taco with fish, and he said it was good. Hot, but good. I didn't try it, but I'm taking his word for it since he didnt have any criticism for it. If I'm ever down south again and craving aguachile, I might give this place another chance and order something different. read more

Quick review on a couple items: I'd get the baja taco over the grilled taco and the ceviche was plenty! Good flavor and it was fresh! What I really want to talk about is the quesadilla de camaron. The breaded shrimp looked and tasted like frozen, store bought shrimp. Lastly, the Baja tacos were small and mostly heavy breading with very small shrimp. Hence my pleasure at finding this place, through all of your recommendations! My main craving at the time was fish tacos, so I got two, which ended up being a ton of (delicious) food. The fried bread fish portions are very generous, to say the least! And it's proper white fish, not Mahi Mahi which you often find in these parts. I love Baja Fish Tacos (BFT's) like the ones I ate in San Diego for many years. I have found the local Austin versions of BFT's to be lacking in taste and substance but this place has fresh, tasty and fulfilling BFT's and I since it specializes in Mex seafood offerings I suspect there's more goodness left to discover. The Tacos were cooked to order, the tender and lightly breaded whitefish portion was tasty and easily double the size I've found in other local fish tacos. The fresh Pico was delicious and generous and the crema tied it all together so well. Seriously, these are excellent BFT's and are well worth seeking out. One of the workers must have noticed my walking cane so he made a point of bringing my order out to me, a lovely courtesy. The only con is a very precarious parking lot, but I envy anyone close enough to walk. For as many taco trucks and Mexican options as Austin has, the truly remarkable seafood options are few and far between. Except here! It's all on one menu, and I have yet to try anything that disappoints: ceviche, fish tacos (both Baja and grilled), gobernador taco. The tent/fan/mosquito stick situation they have going on hold up even in summer, so don't fear ordering something that doesn't travel well. read more

Decent portion but my biggest problem was the price. 20 for ceviche that in San Antonio I can get for 12-15 I don't know. And I get more seafood vs pico. This review goes out to the location on Easton Park. Is it just me or every time I place an order the price is 4-5$ over the price on the menu? And of course the tip. It seems like every time I order a specific menu item, they're out of it, then they proceed to sell an alternative, they charge you extra (exclusive order), only to find out they're out of scallops, but you've already paid premium price. Many red flags go unnoticed or people simply brush it off for the love of food. Overpriced and overrated in my opinion. Get the ceviche tostada here. It is so delicious and everything comes fresh. You can get half and half with octopus and shrimp or go fully shrimp but I recommend trying both. Usually, I am not a fan of octopus because it is hard to chew, but I didn't realize it was just because the cooks were probably making it wrong. This tostada was fresh, and it was a breath of fresh air on a hot Austin summer day. I highly recommend coming out here and trying the tostada because you will not be disappointed.
