    Pork Brito

Ordered the pork brito, defiantly stay away from it. Pine colada was good. Nice waiter. Salsa could have been more thick.

This place has great food and service. They bring you complimentary chips and salsa. I had a combo plate with a tamale and burrito. The tamale is stuffed with seasoned pork. The burrito was filled with shredded beef. The beef was so tender and flavorful. We had the green chili sauce for the tamale and it didn't have much flavor for the $2 upcharge. My friend had a taco and it's a basic gringo style hard shell taco. We went on a Saturday night and there were tables available. There is no outdoor seating or bar. Plenty of parking.

Quiet at 430pm on a Thursday. Horchata.

Delicious and as close as possible to authentic that you are going g to get in EP. We had the tamale & enchilada meal and carne asada burrito. The food was hot, tasty and huge portions. Service was impeccable and the hortchata was just right, not too sweet, not too heavy, very flavorful & came with free refill! Yum. Highly recommend this small restaurant that's just outside the touristy area. Its a solid 3.5 stars-- rounded up for service, cleanliness and location. Enjoy!

Of you want good ol' fashioned Tex Mex this is the place for you! The complimentary chips and salsa are great. The chips are light and crispy and the salsa has the right amount of heat. The beans and rice that come with the lunch special are good. The chicken enchiladas are tasty and do not disappoint. The star of the show is the taco. Hot, crispy, and packed full of flavor. Could have and should have eaten about five of them! The service is great!

They have roasted jalapeños, just ask. They also have complimentary chips, which some restaurants charge for. Food was very good and we'll definitely come back to try other dishes.

Wasn't thrilled. Food was mediocre a best.low flavor and higher prices. Was recommended by a local and wasn't happy.

I haven't been here since way back before Covid. I remember…read moreit being smaller. I was pleasantly surprised to find a fast food alternative in a tourist town. There seems to be plenty of parking and a little fountain and creek out front. I appreciated the 50's retro chrome and red vinyl chairs. When we weee ready to leave it took our server quite a while to bring us our bill.

Update: our youngest started vomiting on the way home a few hours after eating here and has been…read moredoing so ever since - it's been 24 hours, she has been vomiting all night. All symptoms point to food poisoning. We will not be back. This was our first visit to You Need Pie. What we liked: Our waiter was really hospitable, friendly, and did his best to provide service in a timely way despite being the only server available for all the customers. The coffee was decent, though in a small mug, and so was the hot chocolate we orders for the kids (which came with whipped cream, much to their delight!). The decor on the walls felt kind of scanty but what is there was cute. There is a pretty wide pie selection. Food serving sizes were okay. The single person bathroom was clean. What we didn't like: *The $2 veg add-ins of onion and jalapeños to the $12 omelette were raw. *The corned beef hash was extremely basic and barely seasoned, the potatoes were well cooked but bland and pale. It was edible but not worth $15. *Our party ordered a $9 bread bowl soup and waffle fries as well; it was eaten but the cheese ingredient was really overpowering in flavor - the small size was a good thing, in this case, because otherwise it couldn't have been finished. *The batter on the chicken tenders in the kid's meal were almost burnt on the edges, but still pale everywhere else. Something off with the oil temperature I guess. They didn't get eaten. *The color of everything was pretty much all beige and served on white plates, which impacted the impression of the meal - zero visual appeal. One of my favorite parts of eating at mom-and-pop diners is the way the meals feel homey, warming you from the inside out. This did not create that kind of impression. Lastly, the pie (which was the main draw for us and why we picked this dining option). We ordered one slice of rhubarb at $6.25. The pie was very disappointing - something in it was either stale or had gone bad. It tasted really unpleasant and we ended up throwing it away. Our total for everything was about $80 with tip and it was sadly not money well spent. We love stand alone dining options but probably will not be returning.

This was a very busy spot! But also, in a great area near the Stanley and other activities as well…read moreas lodging, so it tracks. We had a little bit of a wait upon arrival--nothing too long, so that was great. The only real issue we had was that there was no pricing for the brunch drinks. I don't think it's unfair to know the price of something before you purchase it, so I really dislike it when businesses choose to purposely exclude pricing. So, I simply asked the server how much a mimosa was, and she completely freaked out and started talking about other things, not answering my question, and said it was her first day. Ok, no problem, but still, how much is a mimosa? I mean, I'm not sure what that has to do with your first day; just say you'll go check, look in the computer, or ask a teammate and come back to me. Instead, she left and brought another server over with her, and he acted like he had no idea why he was there and said something about what I needed, and again, I repeated, I was just asking how much a mimosa was. He told me, and we could finally move on. What an ordeal for such a simple ask. If it was $15 - $20 for a little flute, I wasn't going to get one. It turned out the basic one was $9, so I was fine with that. I also thought it was very strange they served the oatmeal plain without asking if someone wanted sugar or honey -- how many people really eat oatmeal completely plain? Anyway, nothing to cause avoiding the place, or anything. Just another breakfast joint, in my opinion.
