And shame on anyone that expects anything else. So, The Twin Eagles has always had great bartenders, half of them over the years have grown up here in West Chicago. Ok were not piercing plates into our lips, walking on coals, drinking jerungdu... no. We are tho, walking through the doors of The Twin Eagles. It's a town thing. We liked the other place this was so we figured we would give it a try. For a Saturday night, it was dead. We were the only table eating there. The rest looked like regulars at the bar. We had a party with 3 adults and 3 kids so we were glad they could accommodate so quickly but should have been a red flag. Service was super slow. (Like I said, we were the only table!) Sart to finish was almost 2 hours! And with littles getting impatient, made us impatient. Like it's bed time now! Food I can sum up quick, SALTY! I am always a sucker for fried food but dang, water chugging commence. Loaded tots were the best thing. Every meal we got was way too over salted, no other flavor. Side veggies were awful! Like they tried to quick defrost frozen veggies by microwave and way over did it and salted the heck out of them. Couldn't even bite through them. I really have nothing good to say about our visit. Will not return.

Can't remember being so disappointed in a restaurant..Apparently one side is a party room and the other side a casual place..the party side looked lovely..tables with white tablecloths, a fireplace, flowers..really nice. Sadly, we were directed to the left side...and told "just sit anywhere..." The menu on the table we chose was stuck to the table...the noise level was so bad he had to turn off his hearing aids...Lucky him,,between the door and the table I must have heard the F word about fifteen times...We finally got a server and she did a good job..there was another young woman there too but she looked about as disinterested as possible...she was carrying drinks out to tables one at a time, while the other was carrying full trays....To be honest I will say the potato soup was great..very flavorful...My husband had a BLT and he said it was very good..lots of bacon and nice crisp lettuce....We had no liquor, just iced tea. Bill was $44.00, which seems a bit steep. When we were done eating our server said "Let me get your check" I'm not quite sure where she had to get it because we waited about 20 minutes. Needless to say, we won't be going back....

A…read morelong time ago, in my mid to late 20s era, we would order seafood boil for Father's Day so this was very nostalgic for me. I've seen the sign for Sea Shack from Route 59 and finally got to try it when my sister was visiting Naperville. I called in an order and it was ready in 15 minutes. What we ordered for 3 adults: 1 lb peeled shrimp, mild, + corn + potatoes 1 lb black mussels, mild, + corn + potatoes 1 lb clams, mild 1 corn on the side 1 sausage on the side onion rings chicken tenders and fries 2 orders of rice We had plenty of food and enough for leftovers. My favorite part might be the cajun butter sauce with white rice... even more than the seafood. I love white rice with basically any sauce. The food was fresh, the sauce was mild as requested, still flavorful and not too salty. If you order the clams on its own, no sides, the bag might seem a little small but that's just because the clam meat is so small. For takeout, your seafood will come double bagged so it was leak proof. We decided to empty the bags into bowls since we were doing family style, and it was a hearty meal. I can't comment on the ambiance since it was a takeout order, but we enjoyed our food. We'll be back!

I had some of their cajun pasta and calamari, both were quite small serving sizes for their price. What put me off was adding shrimp to the pasta for 5.99 only to be given exactly five pieces of shrimp. The pasta had nothing cajun about it and served on a big plate to look bigger than it is, far too big for the small table! The pasta itself was nice, however it tasted like grocery store jar alfredo sauce. And the restaurant had far too loud music for so little people there, couldn't even talk properly to the server or family despite sitting so close on a tiny table. Would not recommend
