    EARTHQUAKE FRIES !
    Marcus J.

The earthquake fries are UNDEFEATED!!! Asada, shrimp, special sauce, cheese and more! and the birria tacos are legendary!! Even their shrimp tacos blew my mind. They have quick, friendly service and they make all their food with LOVE. This place is fire, 10/10 easy, certified.

Instagram ads all the time, and I don't get why it isn't more full. Earthquake fries were delicious! Battered, perfectly fried fries covered in both a generous amount of shrimp and chopped steak with a delicious creamy sauce. The horchata was a little sweet for me. Big portion!

First and last time ordering from Garcia's. Our chips showed up half crushed, like they'd been stepped on in a Stomp the Yard dance battle, and the guacamole was a weird creamy paste with zero texture...more like baby food than real guac. I ordered a wet burrito with asada and beans and it was a soggy mess with hardly any meat or beans inside. For the price, the quality was honestly terrible. Would not recommend. Y'all really need to get it together.

Food is delicious! Enjoyed my birria taco and quesa-birria. Consommé is yum! Carne asada burrito was great. But when they say their red sauce is hot, it's REALLY HOT! Even my friend who's used to spicy sauce said it was spicy! Lady at the window was very helpful because having to order at the self-serve kiosk made me a little anxious. My kids want this and that out; I'm not sure if staff would see the special notes. Outdoor seating is not for me plus it was a little breezy when we came. Luckily, I live close by so food was still warm to enjoy when we got home. I'll be back to try the chilaquiles.

I stumbled upon this hidden gem just in time for Cinco de Mayo! Garcia Mexican Grill is located right behind the Garcia Mini Market Carniceria and is a to-go spot only. It can easily be missed because it's all the way in the back of the plaza but you definitely don't want to miss out on this spot! They offer a variety of delicious Mexican eats- from chilaquiles to quesadillas. It was the Birria tacos however that caught my eye! The Tacos de Birria plate is $13.99 and comes with three Birria tacos with consommé dipping sauce, dip, rice and beans. Every thing is made to order and so it can take a bit of time. The wait is well worth it thought as the tacos came out nice and hot. I did notice however that the tacos were not really crispy but nevertheless I still enjoyed these tacos. They don't skimp on the birria and there was plenty of tender meat inside the taco. Even the consommé sauce had little pieces of birria. Though they give a lot of birria, I was somewhat surprised at the small portion of Mexican rice and beans. The real star of this plate however are the birria tacos and so the small portion of the rice and beans was not too big of a deal. Discovering this spot was definitely a win for Cinco de Mayo. I hope to be back to try some other flavorful dishes!

I got the carne asada burrito with no rice. Good tasting burrito. Just a slosh less salt and it would be right on. Service was extremely friendly and prompt.

Ordered takeout/pickup. Start with a few (tiny) cons just to get out of the way and focus on the goods! Things got messy in the bag (hard to help) & they forgot one of our items. **But when we went back to the window and let them know, they did give us an extra taco! On to the goods! We tried birria tacos, birria Quesadilla, tacos gobernador, chips, salsa. Long story short: ALL DELISH! Food was still hot by the time we got it home! Favorite item was the tacos gobernador. The birria was really good and I got NO fatty pieces. The consome is delish too. Also plenty of cheese in everything. Will be back! Gonna try a wet burrito and some breakfast items next!

A "Hidden Gem" is definitely the best description for Garcia Mexican Grill. I finally checked this establishment off my bucket list and am I glad did. I was greeted by the one-man team...super friendly! I was overwhelmed by the choice of delicious dishes. But thanks to many positive reviews, I was able to narrow down my selection. I decided on a Carne Asada Burrito and the Earthquake Fries... OMG, those Earthquake Fries were delicious . Then I washed it down with an ice cold horchata. There is outside seating available with music in the background. Being hidden in the back actually makes you forget you are actually surrounded by 2 main busy streets. I will definitely be back!

I found this place a few months ago on tiktok and haven't stopped coming since. To the food and the service all around amazing the best Mexican restaurant in town and the best customer service I've experienced in such a long time. The customer service they give makes you feel at home there should be no reason this place doesn't have a line down the street. The portions of the food are very filling and the pricing is great given how much food they give you. The last time I was here there was a homeless man asking for left over food they so kindly prepared this man a plate with no hesitation I hope this provides more insight on how amazing these workers are. Will definitely be coming here again and bring more people.

This is a to go place. I first saw on IG about it and wanted to try. The location is small and around the corner but no problem had has lots of parking. The service is good. You can call ahead or order from the window. The food, we got chicken tacos plate and a birra tacos plate. The chicken tacos were good, very flavorful. The birra tacos were okay I didn't get any of the dipping liquid and that was a disappointment. It was filled with a lot of meat though. The rice portion is a bit small, a little more would be nice as well as the beans very flavorful but too smooth for my liking.

The food here is really good. They do a very good job of not only sourcing high quality ingredients, but preparing each dish with a very nice presentation. In terms of atmosphere, this is a large restaurant. They have numerous interior tables, as well as some exterior tables, as well. They also have a very nice bar area. Their seating is all very well spaced so you never feel like you're sitting too close to any other customer. This gives you the space to feel comfortable having conversations with whomever you're with. On certain night in the evening, they actually bring in a band. Not your traditional mariachi band or anything like that. But, a band that performs some really interesting takes on both traditional and modern Latin music. The staff here are all super nice. They're happy to help you out with whatever you need. And, they do a really good job doing their job. One thing to know about this restaurant is that they're currently offering Sunday brunch beginning at 9:00 AM. I know the sign outside says that the brunch doesn't begin till 11:00 AM. But, don't let that fool you. They actually are opening at 9:00 AM. Meaning, you can come in here on Sunday morning and have a really great breakfast. Overall, if you're in the Old Torrance area, and you want to have some great Latin inspired food, this may be your place to go.

I've been here before, and the birria tacos were exactly what I needed for a late-night craving. Crispy on the outside with a good amount of filling and strong flavor - they really hit the spot. I ended up having four of them. The consomé on the side was really good too - rich and flavorful, almost something I could've just had on its own. The street tacos were solid. The carnitas had that tender, slightly crisp texture, and the al pastor added a bit more seasoning and contrast. Nothing overcomplicated, just straightforward and satisfying. Rich, complex mole, tender chicken, and one of those meals where you keep saying, "Okay, one more bite," until suddenly there's nothing left but regret that it's over. As a non-drinker, I also have to give Vida props for the mocktails. They were creative, delicious, and--miracle of miracles--reasonably priced. Nothing's worse than going out for dinner and discovering the mocktails cost just as much as the cocktails. I mean... WTF. The service was every bit as impressive as the food.
