We chose to go to El Patio because of their wide selection of homemade soups! There are 7 soups to choose from. We had quite a wait, because Sunday mornings everyone is meeting up with friends and family. We too meet up with family in the intimate setting and the wait was worth it. Some of us enjoyed the hearty, homey Caldo Tlapeno, complete with chopped onion, cilantro and lime. Was extremely busy for Mother's Day which was expected. Came a little early to get on the list before we were extremely hungry. As soon as we were seated, we were greater immediately by the staff and informed our server would be with us shortly. The flavor of the food was good. Unfortunately munchkin was really hungry after 2 tacos and we ordered sopapillas with the ice cream on the side. This was munchkins first time eating this delicious dessert. Solid place! Came here after a long day with my friends and it did not disappoint. I got the Original Famous Burrito which came with beans and rice - very solid and definitely made me want to try the other options on the menu. The food and ambiance is excellent but the service really depends who you get to serve you here. We have had twice, an older lady serve us and she acts like she is unhappy with life. Cranky and mean. While we have been waited on by a young man, a couple of times, and he treats all his customers like royalty. Love the warm colors, vibrant decor, and rustic feel of this place. The atmosphere and customer service makes you feel like family. When we arrived there was a wait spilling onto the sidewalk. We placed our names on the waitlist. We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly we were seated. On a Friday night we waited for no more than 20 minutes. The service was prompt, friendly, and professional. We ordered the Chamango Margarita and Tia Juana Margarita. Drinks were delicious and smooth. For our main dishes we opted for the house specials the original famous a shredded beef burrito topped with cheese sauce and served with rice and beans. Along with the taco and cheese enchilada combo served with rice and beans. Hands down the cheese sauce, rice, and beans were delicious. The shredded beef although plentiful was dry with minimal seasoning. Recommend extra cheese sauce and adding the optional sour cream and guacamole. The taco was hard shell with shredded beef, lettuce, and diced tomatoes. Complimentary chips and salsa. Filtered water. Straws upon request. Will definitely return for the ambiance, drinks, enchiladas, and sides. This is a must if you are in the area. Parking can be a challenge particularly on a busy night. read more

Got served burnt dry mole on one plate and watering mole that drowned my beans on my other 2 plates, the rice was burnt and crunchy, beans were greasy, and the food had no flavor. Tried to talk to the waitress and she instead argued that the manager would just come talk to us but they never did and they still expected to pay the bill in full. read more

Customer service was great, bilingual staff of course. We did wait a bit for the food but they give you chips and salsa while you wait. The machaca is delicious highly recommend it. Bean, rice, tortilla it seemed homemade, and the chicken was real not that frozen crap prepackaged precooked stuff. Server was on point keep walking. Around asking everyone do you need anything. Constantly on the move constantly asking if you needed anything. It's small and parking tight. My sister liked her menudo, which was reasonably priced, but they need to do better with the two mini flour tortillas. They were thin like rice paper. I had a bean tostada, which was small in size compared to other Mexican restaurants plus the tortilla shell was stale. I ordered a side of rice and, for $3.95, was handed the smallest bowl of rice I had ever seen. I refused it. Other restaurants will serve it on a small platter, not on a mini salsa bowl with about 50 grains of rice in it. Disappointed. read more
