We were headed to Costco, but we didn't want to fill up on samples. ;) El Patron is right across the street and the have a patio. It was a nice day, so we called an audible. It was mid afternoon and the place was quiet. Our water took our order quickly - chili verde burrito - and an extra plate. He brought our drinks along with salsa and chips. The patio was nice. There's a fountain and you get to hear the trickling of water. The plate was substantial. The burrito was tasty and nicely spicy. I don't like the flavor to hot. The pork pieces were tender. This was a good meal for the price. We finished up and waddled over to Costco. We didn't need any samples, that's for sure.

Brunch was very good yet their Molcajete was spectacular! Luis the server continually asked about our food or if anything else was needed. Thank you Luis for the excellent service. Music was a huge part of the atmosphere, thank you for reminding me of my youth with my parents.

Was feeling like having Mexican food for breakfast today. I stopped in for a quick bite, and while I was there, waiting for my food, a customer sitting across from me told me that the menudo is the best in town. If you've seen my other post... You know that my favorite menudo place is from Gandma's Tamales. So of course I had to try it. The restaurant was so nice and accommodated my request to try a sample of the menudo, while I waited for my order, which I will get to next. And that customer was correct. Let me know though is very delicious and I found out that if you want the beef feet (pata) they it available if they haven't sold out. The customer who shared the info about this dish also told me that if you come after 1030 or so sometimes the restaurant is sold out of menudo. Without saying... The early bird gets the worm! Now about my breakfast. I had gone one other time and had their mole and I remember it was pretty tasty. I ordered it this morning as my breakfast and just as I remember, it was delicious. The sauce is the perfect balance between sweet and salty, and the dish came topped with sesame seeds. I recall them telling me that they make the sauce in the back and it really does taste like they do. The only thing I would ask that they improve about this dish is to simmer the shredded chicken in the sauce for 15 to 20 minutes so the chicken can absorb the flavors of the mole sauce. The dish comes with a side of refried beans, which were pretty delicious, a lot like homestyle, and Mexican style rice. I ordered a coffee which was pretty decent nice and strong, but smooth, and a Diet Coke, because I just can't eat Mexican food without a Coke. I will definitely go back to enjoy the menudo as my breakfast next time! By the way, the customer who told me to try the menudo whoever you are, thank you for buying my breakfast. I will definitely pay it forward!

Returned recently to have a Margarita and an appetizer. And my experience was amazing! I love sitting at the bar, that's always my first choice when it comes to a Mexican restaurant. Great experience! I'll be back!

I love to visit here for taco Tuesday, the service is always fast and you never have a long wait to sit . The drinks are just right and the food delicious. They have specials , that are well worth the price and the sample platter is my new personal

Finally had a chance to check this place out, I saw a lot of great reviews from other Yelpers so I knew I had to check this place out. First and foremost, the food here is really good which is probably why they have a lot of great reviews. I ordered a combo plate that had 3 items as well as my husband: I ordered the #15 which included a taco, chili relleno & an enchilada. My husband ordered the #13 which included a taco, a tamale, and an enchilada. Food is really good and I plan to come back. I did not interact a whole lot w staff, but our waiter was on it and refilled our drinks as soon as we were low, which is always a good thing. They have plenty of seating at this location and room for a big party as well as a table for 1 or 2. The setting is not well lit inside, but I believe a lot of Mexican restaurants are like that as well. Music is not too loud where you can't talk to whoever you're with and they put on sports channels for people wanting to see a game. The only complaint I probably have is the way the seating is. I don't know if it's just me. The way the table sits is kind of lower compared to other restaurants, which I found myself feeling uncomfortable the whole time. People that know me will probably think it's because I'm a short person, but I wasn't used to the seating being the way it was. In any case, that is not a killer for me, so I will definitely come back and give this place another go.

    The chips are sooooo stale!

If you love breakfast foods, you definitely can't go wrong by going here. I always struggle with what to choose because everything is so good! If you have a sweet tooth, the B-N-W waffle which has banana, Nutella, and walnuts for the toppings would be a great choice. The chilaquiles with any choice of meat is incredibly flavorful and one of my favorites on the menu. I also appreciate their extensive drinks menu as you can choose anything from a michelada to a latte. At this specific downtown location, the service is always great. The servers are friendly, attentive, and always make sure you're satisfied with your food/drinks.

We finally decided to try Huevo House, and with a name like that I was expecting both cuisines, but I wasn't expecting the Mexican flavors to be this good! The menu was a decent size--one side for breakfast and the back for lunch. I didn't look at the lunch side, but the breakfast options were great: plenty to choose from without feeling overwhelming. They serve pozole on Fridays and Saturdays and menudo on Sundays. The pozole was full of flavor and honestly one of the highlights of our visit. Thank goodness we finally found a place that satisfies us both! I ordered the Country Benedict and he ordered the Brunchiladas--both dishes were delicious and came in generous portions. We also tried the Abuelita Latte and the Mazapán Latte. Both were very good, just on the sweeter side, so if you're not into sweet coffee definitely ask for half sweet. Our server was attentive and informative. She took great care of us and even made conversation, which added to the overall experience. Overall, such a good visit. We'll definitely be back!

The vibes in the new space are absolutely immaculate. There is so much more energy here, and the decorations are incredibly cute. It's the perfect backdrop for a killer meal. The Main Event: This time around, I went with the En Fuego Burger. This beast is loaded with a chile-spiced beef patty, pepperjack, sharp cheddar, thick-cut bacon, chipotle mayo, pepper relish, pickled jalapeños, and a mountain of fried jalapeños + onion strings. The Flavor Profile: This burger delivers on every level, but those fried onion strings were to die for. For the side, I got the sweet potato fries, which are served as big, thick-cut wedges. They come paired with a duo of spicy ketchup and a marshmallow dipping sauce. Switching between the two was amazing, the marshmallow sauce actually makes the fries feel like a dessert. The Drink: To wash it all down, I ordered the basil lemonade, and omg, I need to figure out how to recreate this at home. It's exactly what it sounds like, crisp, refreshing lemonade with a perfect herbal basil finish. The Verdict: If you loved their old spot, the new location takes everything to the next level. Between the upgraded atmosphere, the dessert-like fries, and that refreshing lemonade, I will absolutely be coming back here again and again.

I immediately noticed that my favorite dish, the shakshuka eggs, was no longer on the menu. Thinking it might just be a seasonal change, I decided to try something different. I ordered the carrot ginger soup, beet and goat cheese salad, and my usual favorite cocktail, the Pear Necessities. The cocktail was the first disappointment. It tasted completely different from what I've come to enjoy, none of the smoky mezcal flavor and none of the sweetness from the pear liquor that made it a favorite. I figured it might just be a new bartender and tried to brush it off. The carrot ginger soup was just okay. I found myself searching for both the carrot and ginger flavors, neither of which really stood out. The beet and goat cheese salad was fine, but it's hard to get too excited about a salad. Overall, the food felt subpar compared to what I've come to expect from Moo Creamery. The restaurant itself was also surprisingly loud, making conversation difficult and adding to the overall frustration. It was hard to get our waitress's attention throughout the meal, and service felt disjointed. The most disappointing moment came when we noticed my son's chicken strips and fries sitting on the counter for 13 minutes before they were finally brought to our table. By then, it was difficult not to question whether the food was still as fresh and hot as it should have been. We came in excited to experience the new location, but between the noisy atmosphere, inattentive service, and food that didn't live up to Moo Creamery's usual standards, we left feeling disappointed. Sadly, I probably won't be returning. It's hard to justify giving it another try when there are so many other restaurants in town that consistently deliver quality food, service, and a better overall dining experience.

SMITTENS STAPLE IS THEIR ABILITY TO MISS THE FLAVOR IN EVER SINGLE DISH…read more Update: coming back after some palate development... smitten is one of the most tasteless restaurants in town. Their hype was definitely due to the 'aesthetic'. Nothing is really outstanding to me. The drinks are such a let down, the coffee is borderline yuck.. do not recommend. Everything is quite unmemorable. Service is whatever, sometimes mid, sometimes bad. Nothing outstanding. Ambiance.... well... this one has been replicated one too many times. The food is heavily missing flavor, the hummus is disgusting. I can't believe they call that thing hummus, it's an insult to actual dish.. it's almost like it was trying to imitate the real dish, but failed terribly in even attempting to. Their pizza tasted like play-doh and looked very pale. Smitten is at least consistent with one thing, which is their staple: no flavor. One of the breaking points for me was being served food that had someone's HAIR. The restaurant is very expensive for the poor experience they have to offer. I stopped recommending them a long time ago.
