There are a few bench style seating areas at the front with some short coffee tables. Think- skater tiki bar. The drinks were good- small menu if you're not sure what you want or are new to tiki. Both sides of the menu are the same menu. There are some nice mocktail options as well- you don't see that often. The service for me is mixed- it wasn't busy- steady but not busy- 1/4 full. I ordered two drinks to start for our table- (no cocktail servers here/not unusual for a small Tiki bar) I asked for a soda water- the bartender looked at me without a word- popped open a can of soda water and walked away. When he walked back by, I asked for a glass of ice- he said nothing and I got an eye-roll huff. I almost left. I don't think providing a glass with ice to pour your canned room temp soda water in, is too wacky an idea to be perturbed by the request. The female who took the order was friendly, smiled and was professional. We got a third cocktail- the Mai Tai. The grumpy bartender was friendlier this time. So, that helped. Maybe he felt overwhelmed and I threw off his groove by asking for water- then a glass... either way- being annoyed wasn't cool. The music.... Wasn't Tiki- it threw off the "Tiki Vibe" and made it feel typical small local bar that serves only Tiki drinks with some Tiki decor. It didn't take you to the land of Tiki- disappointed. Wow, We had lunch with a large group (CNS) and the service was absolutely Great!! We started off with appetizers which were fairly quick and total meals within themselves. The taste was awesome with great spices but not mouth wrenching heat. Everything hit the spot. Along with the great service and quick drink refills it made our visit much more pleasant. to the management of el patron. this restaurant is one of my favorites for it's great food and service. however the past couple of weeks my friends and i have not had good service. the bar tender has had a very bad attitude and has shown bad service towards your guests. he ignore us at the tables, and prepares the drinks as if they were giving them away. please fire that bad presence or at least call it to his attention as he is becoming a toxic influence for your business. myself and about 5 of my friends agree that this should be done. thank you and i hope that this situation will be attend to. Haven't even tried to food here yet but sitting down in this gloomy environment and the non conversational wait staff makes the vibe here feel like I just walked in the middle of a funeral. Turn on some lights, talk to your customers, and smile. JEEEZ ......after getting our food, the service got worse, had to get up several times to either remind them of something we requested or to get a refill, there was only 3 other tables to wait on, come on guys get it together. I thought the best part of the Mexican food was the appatizera because they were "killer" . I loved the nachos because they were tasty. Major appetite killer! I was ready to try this place on Friday night. I had a hard time finding a parking spot, I was excited. That many people here, this place must be great! Walk in and it's busy but the smell of overused cooking oil was overwhelming! Why didn't it smell like Mexican food? Fajitas? Nope! Hostess didn't even notice us standing there. A longtime favorite that seems to be slipping…read more We've been eating at Don Pedricio's on Oswell Street for years. It's always been a go-to spot for us, especially when we're with a large group. We're usually a party of 8-10, and the staff has always been incredibly accommodating. They're friendly, efficient, and attentive; always noticing when someone's drink is getting low and making sure we're taken care of. That kind of service is hard to beat. Unfortunately, I've noticed the food quality has really gone downhill, and today was especially disappointing. I always order the same thing because I used to absolutely love their shrimp tacos and chile relleno. The shrimp tacos in particular were a favorite because they used to come packed with plenty of whole shrimp. Today, there wasn't a single whole shrimp in the tacos. The shrimp was all minced, and there was barely enough to equal two shrimp total. Instead, the tacos were mostly filled with sautéed diced carrots, tons of shredded cabbage, and onions. It felt like the vegetables had replaced the shrimp. The rice and beans were also a major letdown. The beans were so dry that I could barely scrape them off the plate! They were practically dried onto the dish. The rice tasted like it had been sitting for a couple of days. It honestly makes me sad to write this because we've been coming here for years and have always enjoyed the food and the welcoming service. The staff is still wonderful, but the food quality today was nowhere near what we've come to expect from Don Pedricio's. I really hope this was just an off day and not a sign of a permanent decline. I'd love to see this longtime favorite get back to the quality that made us keep coming back.

They have a modest amount of in restaurant seating but a huge festively decorated patio with vibrantly colored folk art flowers adorning them and bistro style chairs. We dined early on a Friday and were treated to strolling musicians who played and sang a wonderful traditional folk song for us while we awaited our order. The waiter spoke limited English but that wasn't a problem as when my limited Spanish failed me we used Google translate with great success. The menu is large and varied with an assortment of dishes including molcajetes, tacos, burritos, fajitas, and much more. Our meal began with house made flour tortilla chips and a richly flavourful salsa with plenty of garlic and a spice balance that I the wuss was able to enjoy, but which builds in intensity so it worked well for my spice loving husband. We ordered pasta poblano con Pollo and a pescado cerviche Toscana plus iced tea. The pasta was beautifully presented and perfectly prepared with liberal lashings of a rich buttery creamy white cheese sauce infused with the bright taste of poblano peppers and moist chunks of well seasoned chicken. The cheese pull from it was remarkable and it is a rich savory flavor explosion on the tongue. The portion was enormous and ended up feeding both of us about three meals each. I ordered the pescado or fish cerviche Toscana made without chili as I am a wuss and they happily accommodated that request. When it arrived it was a literal mountain of cerviche atop a six inch toasted corn tostada with another tostada perched atop at a jaunty angle. The cerviche was close to four inches high! The fish was citrus cured with a light delicate texture and fresh clean taste speaking to the lime used in the curing. The salsa had fantastic balanced flavor and was without pepper heat which was perfect for me. The service was superb and friendly. We WILL be back! Update: We are back for more fabulous cerviche tostadas. My husband got the perillo tostada which has shrimp, sushi grade tuna, avocado and all manner of other goodies. Perillo translates to bad ass and it is indeed a bad ass tostada! I opted for the callo de acha or scallop tostada this time and it also does not dissapoint! They have a full bar and we are very curious about their Adios Madafaker cocktail. The name is hilarious! We will update again if we decide to try it.

It was hard for me to tell where the front desk was because there is a wall partition that goes well above the heads of anyone standing over at the counter, so I waited a few minutes before anyone noticed I was there. There were no tables on the terrace... It was full of mosquitoes anyway so I doubt anybody would want to sit there. The front part of the restaurant was occupied as well as the booth along the corridor, so I had to go sit at a very small table around the corner next to the bathroom. The menu has a lot of food options, and there are definitely options for vegetarians. They range from common appetizers to seafood and soups to Oaxacan specialties such as mole and quesadillas with Oaxacan cheese. I was super excited to try this place based on what I saw on social media and was quite hungry. Despite the place being small, it had a very busy and bustling kitchen, you could hear the activity in the kitchen, such as pots and pans, and the fryer being used. The places decorated in Mexican decor and is actually quite cute. I ordered chicken mole Oaxacan-style, which means the mole was very dark almost black. My plate came with refried beans and some cheese as well as Mexican rice. It also included flour or corn tortillas, the corn tortillas I was told were made on site so I opted for those. I ordered Jamaica but the server accidentally brought me cucumber and lime. I had a tiny sip of the cucumber and lime beverage and it was very sweet and did not taste like cucumber or lime. When I reminded the server that I ordered, hi Mika, she brought it over immediately and was very nice about it the Jamaica was better tasting. The server brought over chips and salsa. The salsa was was not thick and it was almost as if they added water to make it stretch a bit. The chips were nothing special, they like salt and they were starting to go stale. I was super excited when I got my food. It was nice and hot. The mole was tasty but not as tasty as I've had at other places and it seemed like they just put more sauce on top of a boiled chicken thigh. I am used to the chicken being cooked with the mole sauce so that it integrates with the sauce or it is served shredded and then integrated into the sauce. The rice did not seem fresh to me, it was tasty but dry like when you reheat it. The beans were OK, there was nothing special about them. While the tortillas did appear to be made by hand, I don't think they were freshly pressed and made right as I ordered my meal, even though it took a moment to get my food. The tortillas probably were made before and reheated therefore, they got cold quickly and were dry. I hope to go back and try the enchiladas and maybe the experience will be different or perhaps I can go on a day when the rice is freshly made and the tortillas are hot off the press. But today was not that day. Enjoy! PS. I forgot to add that my mole dish was rather pricey coming in at $18. Also, the restaurant charges $.75 as a service fee, I did not ask what it was for... But I will say it was not advertised anywhere at the front desk or on the menu that you would be charged a service fee. Overall, with tax, service fee and tip my meal was just under $32.

Albondigas surprised me, if they were cooked a little longer they would've been softer the way I like them and they would've been 10/10, but they are a solid 9. The fish was really nothing special 3/10, but the rice was really good 10/10. The beans were dry 3/10. I ended up making burritos out of my leftover lettuce from my beef tacos and the basic fish and used the green salsa they offer. The blueberry whiskey sour was a 100!!! One of the best drinks I've ever had! The El Corazón tasted like a strawberry margarita with tad more berry puree 7/10. Next time I go I'll sit at the bar, either way I don't feel like my feet will touch the ground.

Got chicken and ground beef tacos, both awful. Even the waitress said the chicken breast tacos were hard to chew. The ground beef didn't really taste like beef, had a weird flavor and texture. Rice tasted like it was out of a box without flavor. We were charged 3 dollars to use an our debit card. The only good I can say is that their bathrooms were clean.

She brought extra plates and napkins. We usually place little pieces of trash like straw wrappers, empty sugar packets, etc. on the side of the table. Usually, waiters don't pick those up and they aren't cleared until the table is bussed. Stefanie came by and picked those up almost immediately. Her service was phenomenal. The food was also very good. The mole enchiladas had a good balance of sweet and spicy. My husband got the casuelitas. It was delicious as well. I would definitely recommend.

My daughter and her friend decided to eat combos from the menus. The portions were very generous. Usually when you get two or more item combos they cut back on the portion size. Not here! The atmosphere was great but could use some repair and cleaning. I would give it a five star if not for that. If you're looking for great food and friendly service, give them a try.
