Our server was great, and the restaurant was clean yet pretty slow. Their menu was very extensive. Anything under the sun that you could think of a Mexican restaurant selling, they probably sell it. I decided on the pizza Birria and my dad decided on the birria tacos. The flavors were so big and so very delicious. The tortillas were crisped. The only things that could've made the meal better were of they gave diced jalapeños in addition to the diced onion and cilantro, and if they gave additional limes to match how many tacos/slices of pizza Birria they give. My drink the Mango Hawaiian Margarita was decent. I wish it had a better balance of tartness with the sweetness, it would've elevated the drink even more. I could see myself coming back time and time again, and recommending them for their Birria. It was that good! read more

I specifically told the waitress I am a vegetarian.she put little chunks of ham in my burrito.i asked her to put burrito on the skillet to cook both sides and they brought it out RAW.this place used to be my favorite.(USED TO BE) not any more! This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area until now. I've been coming to this place for almost 3 years and I have never been so appalled with their service of how they treat their customer during the last visit. My girlfriend and I ordered a menudo soup, with tripe taco plate and we ask for refill on chips and salsa. When the tab came out, we was charge for chips refill (4 dollars) and then a 20 percent gratuity. For 2 people!! I cannot believe you ran up our bill and then charge us gratuity. 4th meals are hard to come by in north Central Park neighborhood. Carnitas street tacos are solid. Price is good for what you get. I wish they delivered directly vs having to use a third party service, but I guess those days are gone. Churros for delivery probably shouldn't be pre-sauced. Quesadilla gets the job done. Customer Service: 1 Star. Very disappointing. I ordered food to go. I asked for a coke while I waited. The bartender got the coke and took it to the bar. I thought she was going to get me a glass with ice, but no she never brought it to me. Very disappointing. Food: This order was good. I often think their food is too spicy for me, but this order was not. We had: Posole - It had a good flavor. The pork was fatty, but I kind of expect that. My husband wished the meat had more spice. I think everything about the posole was awesome. . Huevos Rancheros - my husband liked it. Note: his eggs were cooked hard. He prefers them over easy, but no one asked how he wanted it cooked. I used to love the octopus diablo at Il Padrinos on N Federal, but sadly they closed years ago. Saw this place had it on the menu and made a long drive over to N. Peoria. Place was mostly empty. Waitress was polite and helpful but spoke very little English. Immediately got some fresh chips with 3 bowls of salsa that were good. Ordered the house margarita which was drinkable. The entree was chopped octopus in sauce with rice, refried beans, and some diced tomato and shredded lettuce. Got flour tortillas on the side. Octopus was slightly fishy and may have been sourced from a can, but it was in hot sauce. I put it on a tortilla with some beans and rice. It wasn't bad, but nothing great enough to return for. "Diablo" sauce was thin and medium hot maybe. At Il Padrino they served the sauce on the side and it looked like ground red peppers in oil and was hot enough to melt your face off. Not the best Mexican restaurant in Denver, but it fell within acceptable parameters and I did not get indigestion afterwards and feel fine today, so it seems a safe enough bet if you happen to be in the area. read more

So this weekend I had the privilege of using doordash to try a new restaurant and Mexican was on my list of choices. it's always good to find a restaurant that maintains the traditional values from a real Mexican cuisine. We had a few dishes here but the key stand out for me was the chimichanga. This is by far one of the best Mexican dishes I've had in a very long time. Even the side dishes that accompany the meal were delicious. Estábamos de visita y nos encontramos con este restaurante, todo estaba bien al principio la comida regular, nada fuera de lo común, cerramos la cuenta y pedimos dos tequilas que el mesero nos dijo que costaban $15 y nos termino cobrando $38 nosotros le preguntamos que de que eran, nos respondió que eran los taxes a lo cual dijimos que estaba bien. Nos percatamos que nos cobró en la misma cuenta que supuestamente ya habíamos pagado la primera cuenta que eran entre $41 y $44. Nosotros trabajamos en la industria de restaurantes y efectivamente nos cobraron de más, llamé me contestó un señor que dijo que el me podía ayudar, le insistí en que me comunicara con un gerente y el lo negaba las tres veces que le llamé, al siguiente di volví a llamar, me contestó muy molesto nos dijo "que si creía que estaba pendejo, aquí nadie te cobro de más" cuando le respondí que me cobraron mal y el respondió que si quería le mandáramos a la policía, yo intenté conversar con el y como le repetí que yo también trabaja en restaurantes mientras continuaba faltándome al respeto. Al final lo dejé hablando solo y le colgué. Nosotros intentamos arreglarlo por las buenas, y debido a esto ya tomas acciones por otro lado. No les recomiendo este lugar en lo absoluto en donde deberían de cambiar a su staff y educar a los que tiene trabajando ahí. read more
