Well 1st off I was not comfortable at how this semi wide body man came and said I can't sit around bar. I was meeting a friend there and he was sitting around bar right along with about 5 to 6 other people. We asked why he said because their doing construction and you can sit at table over there (which was far from the bar) wow. (Construction ok fine well mo one should sit at the bar then) This Hispanic man was sitting in middle of bar and was looking and said you can sit here (he was trying to make me feel comfortable) the man said no it's too much people. I went to el pescador to celebrate my birthday with my family and I was served by a very nice waitress Vanessa Figueroa who welcomed us with a beautiful smile and a great attitude, it was my first time there and she recommended me to try the mango margarita and guacamole as an appetizer and I am very happy I did because it was delicious, also she recommended us to try the molcajete and this was the best dish we ever had. Horrible service. First off, there was no room at the bar for a party of 9, and the outdoor patio was closed. So they sat us in the restaurant area. We asked if they would still honor the happy hour prices for alcoholic drinks and the waitress said no. Although the restaurant side was not busy, it took a while for the her to get our drink orders as well as our food. When we were done, with our food, we continued chatting until a person who wasn't our waitress asked us if we needed anything else. We said no and that's when she told us that there were people waiting to eat dinner. So pretty much, she told us to leave. We thought that was very rude of her. We came to el pescador for Mother's Day around 3pm and it was by far the worst customer service my family and I have ever received. Our server Guadalupe I has no customer service skills and no hospitality. I understand it was a busy day as many people wanted to celebrate with their mothers, but no once did she check up on us to see if we were doing okay. We had to ask multiple servers to help us out. Also we had ordered a guacamole and when it arrived it had cheese. To our surprise. We asked for a different guacamole without cheese as one of my family members has and allergy to cheese. Our server told us, "You should have told me you didn't want cheese". Last I know Guacamole doesn't come with cheese and she did not inform us it came with cheese. When we ordered the same family member informed her that they did not want cheese on their asada burrito mojado. When it arrived once again it came with cheese and it was a chicken burrito instead of the asada. Not once did she apologize or take accountability. Went during the week to have lunch with a friend, service was horrible had to get up and ask for everything we needed because the waitress never came to check on us. Went on a Friday for after work drinks and a Dodger game with coworkers and a drunk guy was being loud and annoying with people waiting and no one kicked him out. Let him bring in and drink his tall can while he waited for a table too. Lol Overall I guess the food is decent, but over priced. Can't complain about the drinks except very few on draft options. Service is mediocre at best, depending who your sever may be or how understaffed they are when you go.
